The 1976 Tampa Bay Buccaneers finished the season 0-14. Dan Orlovsky, the former UConn Huskies QB, did everything ...

Boston Red Sox News & Notes - 12/27
2008-12-27 16:00:00
It’s been a few days since we’ve taken a look at the Boston Red Sox news and as you would expect it’s light due to the Christmas holiday. Amalie Benjamin of the Boston Globe says the Red Sox are considering Plan B after losing out on Mark Teixeira. Within the article, she says the Red Sox are still talking to Scott Boras about a return for Jason Varitek. The recession has hurt the value of the New York Times’ stake in the Red Sox. A potential Red Sox spring training site in Bonita Springs, FL is probably a longshot. Even without Mark Teixeira, the Red Sox offense should be one of the league’s best. Lou Merloni has made a successful move from the playing field to television and radio personality. Jim Calhoun was worried how his No. 2/2 UConn Huskies team would respond after a big win last weekend and the Christmas break.
