Video: When Josh Beckett Speaks, People Will Listen
2012-02-03 04:14:00 Given everything that happened at the end of the 2011 season for the Boston Red Sox, it shouldn't be really that much of a surprise that Josh Beckett didn't say anything. We all know his disdain for the media from the countless interviews he's given. But the reason Beckett didn't talk after the season isn't what everyone thinks, it turns out he was busy with his wife and new daughter. Beckett's silence ended on Thursday afternoon when he appeared on MLB Network's Intentional Talk with his good buddy Kevin Millar and Chris Rose. In the interview, he talks about new skipper Bobby Valentine's visit among many other topics. Follow Ian on Twitter @soxanddawgs. And be sure to like us on Facebook as well. There were 18 podium stations set up for the major players and coaches while others milled about being interviewed. As with any media day there are always some nuggets that come from it. Giants safety Antrel Rolle said that the Giants team has come to Indianapolis expecting to win the game. ?We are not going to be denied.? New England TE Rob Gronkowski came out of his walking boot on Monday night and it won?t go back on the rest of the week. As Gronk continually put it he and his injury are ?day-to-day?. Extra?s Maria Menounos, who was wearing a Patriots jersey, told Gronk that she has a wager that if the Giants win she has to wear a Giants bikini. Gronk said it was nice to know there could be a positive if the Patriots lose. Giants LB Matthias Kiwanuka is an Indianapolis native and gets to play the biggest game of his career in front of his family and friends... More About: Media , Comments
