2008-04-12 12:28:00 -Seems everything happening now is about K-1 tomorrow, it is going to be a huge event. It is showing live on SkyPerfect ch. 721 from 3-8 PM. 4/27 Pancrase - Shining Tour 3
2008-04-11 15:52:00 Pancrase is continuing their good year. I think the 2 first events this year have been really good, and this event looks good as well. This time, they dont have any unbeaten fighters on the main card, but lots fighters/fights to get excited about. The main event is awesome, for the lightheavy weight belt. Shoji is the Lightweight champ, Rafiq and Wada will battle for the King of Pancrase welterweight title. Then some lesser known fighters, Matti Makela is coming to Japan to face "the Pink Typhoon"... In my opinon, Matti should take this. Also look out for Curbanov Djamal on this card. A few of the SK Absolute Russia guys have taken Pancrase by storm lately. Djamal is the latest to attempt this. He has a wealth of experience in Sambo and Combat Sambo, so look for this guy to get a quick win. They have also added loads of Neo-Blood fights, I like this as its a good chance to see new fighters.Yuki Kondo 48-20-6 vs. 32-22-9 Keiichiro YamamiyaShoji 6-2-0 vs. 16-7-4 Koji OishiBryan Rafiq 5-2... 2008-04-10 14:58:00 Ok, just so I don't forget about this one. K-1 this Sunday in Yokohama! This will be a HUGE event!! The main event, and of course the highlight of the evening. Super-Heavyweight title fight between Mark Hunt and Semmy Schilt. Schilt has looked unbeatable, but Mark Hunt has always done well as an underdog. 4/5 Cage Force 06 - RESULTS
2008-04-07 14:03:00 Apologies for being late with these. It was a very good event, even though there were lots of last minute changes they put together a very good card.Paul Mc Veigh didn't win his fight, but the first round was definitely his. Oishi is a very good and experienced fighter and managed to defend himself well in that round. James Doolan was the better fighter as long as the fight was standing. He didn't want the fight to go to the ground, but Uematsu caught a leg an manged to get a quick submission. In the main event, Hirota was the stronger and he is now the new Cage Force Lightweight champion.Just so its mentioned, Tsurumaki is now 0-10. Future Fighters
2008-04-05 02:46:00 Ok, Nightmare of Battle had this awesome post a few days ago. It really got me thinking about who are the best fighters under 25, in other words the next generation. NOB has pointed out Kirill Sidelnikov, Shoji and Kwang Hee Lee.For mine, I think there are lots of talent out there. But I would like to add 3 names to the list, just because I think they deserve it.Simeon Thoresen (24) 6-0-0 - Norwegian, trains with Joachim Hansen (who is quick to point out this young man's talent). Simeon is currently undefeated in Ultimate Worrior Challenge, look for him to make a move to a bigger organization soon. Here is a highlight video.Eduardo Dantas (19) 4-1-0 - His only loss is by disqualification. This 19 year old kid fights out of Nove Uniao and beat BJ Kojima at Shooto - Back to Our Roots 6, he was very impressive in that fight, a good tactical win. He is a featherweight, so I look forward to seeing him back in Japan. Currently most of his fights are in his home country, Brazil. Look for ... More About: Future , Fighters
4/5 Cage Force 06 - The Card is Final
2008-04-04 15:22:00 After a lot of changes, the Cage Force card is now final. All the fighters made weight today. The bad news is that they were unable to find an opponent for Antonio Carvalho. Should still be a very good event though.Still, lots of fights to look forward to. Personally, I really look forward to seing James Doolan and Paul McVeigh, who has made the trip over from the UK. They are also the only non-Japanese on the card now. Of course, we can't forget about the title fight personally, I think Hirota will take it.Ryota is a bit of an unknown and I really look forward to see what he can do in this tournament. Other fighters to look for: Tetsuya Suzuki, Yoshihiro Koyama and Wataru Miki. Just to mention a few. Also just to mention it, Nobuhiro Tsurumaki is 0-9 this is his chance to improve on his record or will it be an even 10.The fight order:Lightweight Title fight:12. 2008-04-04 15:00:00 DREAM has made their decision regarding the outcome of the controversial JZ vs. Aoki fight. There will be a re-match in DREAM 2. 4/5 Cage Force 06 - Fights Cancelled, Card a mess
2008-03-29 12:29:00 Well, some bad news regarding the Cage Force card. I am translating it now and will see if I can make some sense out of the news.First off, it seems as though the Featherweight tournament fight between Adrian Pang and Armando Sanchez is cancelled due to the sponsors not being able to fulfil their financial commitments. Then, Katsuya Toida and Yuji Hoshino has gotten injured during training. That means that Antonio Carvalho and Daichi Fujiwara are currently without an opponent. That leaves only 2 Bantamweight tournament fights on the card.Antonio Carvalho and Daichi Fujiwara is hopeing to get a fight in this event. I will update the card and come back with how it looks. As a comfort, they are adding 2 fights, but these are fighters I have not heard about.I am sure this is a huge dissapointment to fighters, fans and promotor. But just to clearify, I have tickets and will be going to this event. I am really disapointed that they have taken a fight off the card, that leaves the featherwe... More About: Card , Fights , Mess

3/28 Shooto - Back to Our Roots 8 - RESULTS
2008-03-28 16:32:00 Shooto put on a great event tonight. There were less fights on that card than I am used to, and unfortunately I missed most of it. But I was assured that this was a great event! The main event was VERY close. Kadowaki pulled out a very thin decision honestly, I expected it to be a draw. However, for once the Japanese fans cheered on their favorite (I have never experienced anything like it in Japan). Kadowaki is the new camp!In the fight that I was really looking forward to, Baret Yoshida never really got to use his guard. Hioki was just too strong and won a first round TKO.Update: Totally forgot to mention when I wrote this, Rumina Sato is currently without an opponent for the May Shooto event.
