I also have to say thanks to Liam for setting up my old skin from when I hosted the BPT for the game . Also to Neefer (my daughter)and Pepeman who put up fifty bucks each to make this a more interesting game . At first I was a might embarrassed that a game was set up on behalf of me , but I must admit that I had a real good time . It showed me the character of some folk....there are still folk out there that can let the past lie and rally around to show support after all . Sadly , there is still some that can't tho , and from the invitation list I saw I must admit a huge disappointment in a couple of them and you know who you are.... 2007-04-14 13:51:00 What a day yesterday turned out to be. Was Frida y the 13th as we all know , but they sure weren't no bad luck here in the Moore house...Jamie , the daughter-n-law says it's cause we have a black cat in the house . lol . To start off , it was the first day that the wife drove her car to work .It's a five speed volvo and we just got it this week at a steal....anyhow , she's just learned to drive a clutch and she made it to work and back home with no problems . I was a happy man when she called and said she made it to work ok . Next I find out that the baby , Neefer , has put up money to host an invitation only tournament called "Get Well Skinski ". From what I hear , she had been working on this for a while . It embarrasses me in a way to have a game hosted for me , but on the other hand it touches me as well . 2007-04-13 13:53:00 I registered and watched the chat with Senator Alfonse D'Amato and the President of the Poker Players Alliance ,Michael Bolcerek yesterday and I'm glad I did . I agreed with most everything that was said and do feel that with time the UIGEA laws will be repealed .It doesn't hurt the effort that Senator Barney Franks is on our side as well . Just weeks ago the PPA had round 60,000 members . The membership has skyrocketed since then to over 320,000 members ! Senator D'Amato says he would like to see them numbers reach a million and then he feels we have a strong enough voice to really be heard .Remember folk , it doesn't cost to become a member of the PPA...Lets all unite and help get these laws repealed . As most you know the 6th was his birthday so we tried freezing a cake and sent it off to him . He said it was a mess but was thankful the same . They was six of us boys and every where we went folk would see us and say " thar come them Moore boys. " My dad was the backbone that kept the family together tho, and when he died the family pretty much died right along with him . Now with me being the oldest I tried to keep the clan united , but that was not meant to be...we all just drifted and went our own ways . I realized then that it was time to just hunker down and make the wife and kids the family and just pass on down the traditions to them . It's been a few years since I've seen most my brothers , and the sad thing is we all bout live within an hours drive of each other . 2007-03-24 14:29:00 Well folk , I been a might down in the dumps lately......As some of you may know, I been in a right fair amount of pain for quite a long time . I've never been scared of much of nothin in my life but doctors and hospitals , so I stay away from them till I feel like I'm knockin on deaths door . Well , that day came the other day and I let the wife and daughters take me to the emergency room . I just couldn't fight thro the pain no longer with out some sort of relieve.... A few years back my lungs had collapsed and I thought that may be what was wrong this time . Figured that I'd stroll in there , they'd pop a hole in my chest , run that tube down and I'd just mosey on outta there like the last time. I was wrong it seems..was my lungs , but turns out that they ain't no fixin this ol'boy up this time . They ran the x-rays and my lungs are covered with holes the size of silver dollars . 2007-03-15 21:55:00 Hello folk , I've been a might busy lately with spring being just around the corner .Been gettin the ground ready for my vegetable garden and now got my early spring planting done . The purple top turnips , radish , peas and mustard have done broke ground . Got my taters planted and now I just have to wait on the soil to warm a bit more to plant the squash , cucumbers ,tomatoes , peppers , butter beans and the such...that hasn't left me time for much bloggin or poker , but I surely do love workin the ground . They ain't nothing quite as good as that feelin ya get when you take that seed , plant it , and work the garden till you finally enjoying the fruits of your labor ....and you sure cant buy nothing that taste as good as what you grow or raise yaself.
