Paint Fill For Your Golf Clubs

Do you ever get bored with your irons and decide to change the paint fill well apparently it's quite a thing to do up here in Canada as our winters are way to long. The guys on some of the forums I frequent have some easy do it yourself tips for paint fills.remove the old paint with laquer thinner or someting like that... (also***use a semi-gel paint remover. Works like a charm)fill in the letters (don't worry about going outside the lines)...when dry, take some of that green pot scubber stuff and (using water), scub away the excess.Tags: paint fill, golf clubs

A dual sanction event with the European and Asian Tour tour hits Malaysia this week as they'll be teeing off a the Malaysian Open in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The course is the Kota Permai Golf and Country Club (6,972 yards, par 72). The purse is $2 million. . Last year: Sweden's Peter Hedblom won his first European tour title since 1996, closing with a 4-under 68 for a one-stroke victory over France's Jean-Francois Lucquin at Saujana Golf and Country Club. Last week: New Zealand's Mark Brown won the Johnnie Walker Classic for his first European tour victory and second straight win in India. He won Asian Tour's SAIL Open the previous week at Jaypee Greens. New Zealand's Michael Campbell is in the field along with Northern Ireland's Darren, England's Nick Dougherty, Thailand's Thongchai Jaidee and 18-year-old Irishman Rory McIlroy. Well we're getting more snow today unfortunately. Doesn't the white stuff usually slow down in March apparently not his year. We're expecting more today and on the weekend oh joy oh bliss. It's times like these I begin to imagine myself on a beautiful desert golf course maybe one like Wolf Creek Golf course in Las Vegas golfing away with not a care in the World. Hotels in Las Vegas seem so cheap lately maybe this could be a reality then I could spend more on golfing like maybe trying out The Falls Golf Club. These courses look so inviting for those of us snowbound with there changes in elevation, rocky terrain and warm sunset. Take me away.

So I'm curious as to what your favorite thing is to ingest before a round of golf, I'm talking thos e early morning rounds so yuo still have time to spend with the family. Is it a cup of coffee from your local Tim Horton's or is it a cup of coffee from your own Capresso coffee maker or do you prefer a cup of tea? I even know some guys will just have a protein shake in the morning those healthy buggers. For me my perfect pre-round beverage is a Carmel Macchiato from Starbucks nothing is more soothing and gets me focused on that first tee shot that hopefully soars off the club face.

Brett Quigley Bunker Shot For Eagle 2008 Honda Classic

For myself if I get into a fairway bunker most of the time I'm just happy with a shot that will run up to the hole close to the green but obviously professionals who are more talented go for it just like Brett Quigley at the 2008 Honda Classic . Good For Ernie Els Winner Of The 2008 Honda Classic

Was really nice to see Ernie Els pull out a victory at this past weekend's Honda Classic . The week before I had him in my Match Play Fantasy Pool and he lost 6&5 to Jonathan Byrd. So of course I didn't take him this week and he goes and wins. You just never know from week to week with some players. Will I be picking him this week for sure see if Ernie can go on a roll.Ernie's stats were pretty good for the week his final round 0f 67 consisted of four birdies and one bogey. Els had a good week hitting 51 greens, which T-4th. Els had 16 birdies, which tied for the most made during the week. Stumbled upon an interesting article that caught my attention one because it involved golf the other it involved fly-fishing. This guy fishes the golf course water hazards of Hunters Run, his parents’ condo community in sunny Boynton Beach, Fla. He gets in his golf cart and goes to a few of his favorite ponds to land that elusive largemouth lunker. What's better 18 hole sand some fishing, I'm in heaven. The PGA National Course is certainly showing some bite this week at the 2008 Honda Classic . With Brain Davis leading at -8 after rounds of 65 and 67 there are lots of players still in contention including Robert Allenby, Ernie Els and Luke Donald who had a quadruple bogey on his card the second day of the tournament. Being Prepared For The Future

When your young and care free you just don't think about things like settling down, having a family, saving for your retirement, life insurance , a burial policy stuff like that. I know I never did I was pretty care free just like most. My wife and I had our third child recently and it got me to thinking about my children and having all those things like a will, proper life insurance and a burial policy done. So when the kids are older they don't have to worry about those things. It's done so they don't have to deal with these type of things.

Well he's down at the 2008 Honda Classic looking for his first win on the PGA Tour in almost 3 years. You have to love his beautiful free flowing swing but injuries and some poor golf shots has kept him out of the winner's circle more often then not with a few recent heartbreaks overseas a la Tiger Woods. Dubai Desert Classic This Week On The European Tour

The European Tour stays in the desert this week to play the Dubai Desert Classic at the Emirates Golf Club (Majlis Course) in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Once again there's a great field at a European Tour event except this week's even better with the headlining of world No. 1 Tiger Woods. Tiger won this event in 2006, and shared third place at this tournament last year. Tiger has been here 5 of the last 8 years, good for the tournament obviously(do I hear appearance fees) Last year Henrik Stenson fired four rounds in the 60s, including a final-round 68, to hold off Ernie Els by a single stroke. Woods also carded four rounds in the 60s, but ended two back. Els has a stellar record at the event, finishing in the top eight in all nine of his appearances. I was thinking of a funny story at work the other day that got me to smile just a wee bit. It was towards the end of the season and I was playing as a single at my home course and I forget what hole but I met up with a lad who was also playing. So we plodded along noting how great the weather was I think that day it was in the 60s. Anyways after a couple of holes we notice this young lad making his way down the last par 5 we played and we notice quite a striking young lady with him. The funny thing is she doesn't seem to have her own clubs she's carrying his. Needless to say we crack a couple of jokes about it but then notice she's also wearing what I would call some pretty sexy boots to a golf course. We joke that hopefully she makes it around without twisting her ankle in a rout or sprinkler grate or whatever. It did make are round though and made for some great stories.

Timber Run Golf Course And Clubhouse

I recently had the chance to see the Timber Run golf course and clubhouse of course the golf course was covered in snow but I'd heard so many nice things about the clubhouse it was cool to finally see it. The first thing you will notice is it's not a contemporary look, there no contemporary furniture or fixtures anywhere. If your looking for a beautiful rustic look then Timber Run is where yo want to be to hold your weddings, parties and all manner of special events. The woodwork and beautiful fireplace are a lovely accent to the towering log beams overhead. They offer a Sunday brunch from 10am to 2pm weekly. Now i just have to try to get out there and try there 18 hole par 69 golf course that will challenge the most accomplished golfer, yet will reward the more average player.

Tiger Woods Shoots 67 Day 1 Buick Invitational

Tiger obviously does well at Torrey Pines having won here the last 3 years. His round for day 1 was a 67 but Tiger was not happy with his driver and 3 wood as he was left and right, luckily his short game and iron play propelled him to within 2 shots of leader Troy Matteson.
