6 Reasons Why I think Taylor Will Beat Pavlik In the Rematch
2008-01-20 22:11:00
After Kelly Pavlik beat Jermain Taylor in one of the fights of the year in 2007, i have reason to believe things will be different this time around. Sure Kelly is a great champion and has developed into a great fighter, but Jermain Taylor still holds all the ingredients to win the rematch. Why Jermain Will Win The Rematch:- Speed. Hes a lot quicker than Kelly. Not as powerful, but if he fights smart his speed can make sure, he sets the pace of the fight.- Game Plan. Jermain can't try to fight Kelly from the inside. He needs to adopt counter punching and fight from the outside. This is actually easier than fighting from the inside like he did in there first fight last year.- 1st Loss. After his first loss and at a higher more comftorable weight, Jermain has told recognised boxing sources, he is more hungry to avenge the loss.- Simple Lesson. He would have learnt from the first fight that after knocking Pavlik down, its good to finish him. But finish him smartly, not by risking it all...

The End Result With Jones Win Over Trinidad at Madison Square Gardens
2008-01-20 08:34:00
Roy Jones Junior's win over Trinidad , happened through a wide UD today at Madison Square Gardens , New York City, New York, USA.Many fans see this win as impressive. It sure was, but not as impressive as boxing fans are making out.Positives:- Roy showed good speed. Only Calzaghe has similar handspeed.- Roy Showed good power, knock out power.Negatives:- He was naturally bigger than Tito. Sure his performance was impressive, but the naturally bigger man won on the night.- Roy is getting lazy in defence. He holds his defence high and well, but doesn't throw combinations or any punches at all, absorbing shots. A lot of fighters more powerful than Trinidad could hurt Jones in these phases.- Roy is loosing stamina. That is the reason he struggled to finish a hurt Trinidad tonight. And makes sense as to why he is not throwing punches often in defence, when lying on the ropes. Conclusion: Roy Jones Junior's win was impressive, but it was expected today over the fromer champion Felix Trinid...

Roy Jones Junior Vs Trinidad Has Arrived
2008-01-19 09:03:00
We are now hours away from two legends, Roy Jones Junior and Felix Trinidad squaring off at madison square gardens. Roy is the heavy favourite, his speed and power should be to much for Felix, if all goes to plan. But Felix has a few suprises ready for Roy. In the pre fight documentaries he was confident, and im believing he has reasons to be confident. If he can land something qutie early i think Roy may fight cautiously and defensively and could loose a UD or possibly be caught with something else big later in the fight and be stopped. Whatever happens, both these two legends and stars of the modern era deserve to finish there careers with an awesome fight. I think we may just see that, two legends going for everything in the chance of recapturing and cementing there impressive legacies. I hope you all enjoy the boxing tomorrow, im sure its going to be another great fight.
Its Time For Anthony Mundine To Be Remembered Or Forgotten!!
2008-01-17 00:03:00
As days continue to go past for Anthony Mundine the 32 year old Australian boxer, his boxing career looks like what could have been. His nation have spotted both his talent and his mouth. Creating half the country who support him and the other half that can't stand him. But the half that don't like him, can be transferred as supporters as soon as he beats someone decent on the world stage. After the Green and Soliman fights a lot of Australians got excited. Finally we had a fighter with speed, power and great technique who could climb up the pound for pound rankings. Many thought he could beat Kessler in the rematch and that was the fight we expected to see. But for some reason his next fights were against C class fighters such as Nievas, Clavero and Hamden. Possibly poor management by Koher Nasser or just the man himself, but its impossible to say why such a talented fighter did this and destroyed the progress he made against Danny Green and Soliman. Its pretty obvious that Mundi...

Felix Trinidad Confident of upsetting a modern great for Puerto Rico
2008-01-16 07:03:00
Felix Trinidad feels confident about his upcoming fight with Roy Jones Junior this saturday night, at light heavyweight. A lot of fans are thinking this is a sign, a dangerous one for Roy Jones Junior. Roy should have to much power and speed for Felix if everything goes like its planned. But this weird feeling occupies a lot of boxing fans stomachs around the world. Another upset may be on the cards and Roy Jones Juniors legacy may be damaged once again. Whatever ways it goes it doesn't matter, we just hope for a high class and tough fight from these two champions. I think both fighters have equal chance of winning. If Roy is hit with something big early he will loose. But if Felix doesn't land early, he will eventually loose. Sunday is shaping as a good fight. A possible fight of the year with two former greats would be awesome to see.

Pavlik vs Taylor could well be the fight of 2008
2008-01-13 07:24:00
After the great first fight between Pavlik and Taylor there rematch could be the front runner for 2008 fight of the year. In the first match Taylor knocked down Pavlik in round two but was later dominated and stopped in the 8th round. I still feel Taylor will win the rematch. A lot of people have written him off, but he is severely under rated still. And he was one punch away from winning the first bout in the second round.I think Taylors speed will play a big factor in the rematch and he could possibly stop Pavlik. Either way i don't think this will go the distance with one of the fighters eventually hitting the canvas and having to stop.

Hopkins vs Calzaghe and Dawson vs Johnson all for April 12th
2008-01-07 05:57:00
Two massive fights to determine the future of the light heavyweight division are set to occur on the 12th of April . Joe Calzgaghe is set to start as a heavy favourite when he takes on Bernard Hopkins in Las Vegas. Chad Dawson will attempt to further his claim as the best fighter in the heavyweight division when he takes on former world champion and Roy Jones Junior conqueror Glen Johnson . The details of both these fights have not been finalised. Apparently Hopkins and Calzaghe are one week away from signing a deal, but Dawson vs Johnson is offial. Unlike Hopkins vs Calzaghe, Dawson vs Johnson will be taking place in Florida.I expect Calzaghes work rate to be to much for Hopkins and for the welsh man to win a wide UD and launch a genuine threat to Floyd Mayweathers number 1 pound for pound rankings. Glen Johnson may well pull of an upset with a points win over Chad Dawson, but if all goes to plan we expect Dawson to stop Johnson with a TKO in the middle rounds. These fights set certa...
How to be ripped with muscle like Mike Tyson. Having power, stamina, speed
2008-01-07 05:51:00
When Mike Tyson use to train, he use to push his body to his maximum potential every time he was in the gym. After a while his strength continued to improve to something we have never seen in a fighter before. By the time he was 18, he was the strongest puncher of all time. It would take him one right or left or mis-hit, to knock his opponent out. His sheer power made opposing fighters look extremely nervous as they were going into the ring. Over numerous Mike Tyson interviews he outlined his training regimen, which allowed him to be muscly, powerful and have stamina :- 2500 squats with a 20KG medicine ball. He revealed this in a post fight interview, the same one in which he said "he broke his back".- Weights twice a weak. By the age of 13 Mike was bench pressing over 200 pounds. Romours say by 18 he was benching over 350 pounds. His work outs use to last a long time compared to other fighters. But on top of this, Mike had conditioned himself from such a young age, that it was easi...

Most Talked About Boxing Fighters Across Internet Forums
2008-01-07 05:31:00
I have included a list of the most talked about fighters across boxing forums around the world. 1. Floyd Mayweather2. Miguel Cotto3. Kelly Pavlik4. Antonio Margarito5. Joe Calzaghe6. Bernard Hopkins7. Ricky Hatton8. Zab Judah9. Paul Williams10.Anthony MundineMy biggest suprise being a regular forum poster on a lot of boxing forums across the internet is how highly people rate Antonio Margarito. I have only seen him fight on a handful of occasions where i have been slightly impressed. However he has a large fan base who think he stands a good chance of upsetting Floyd Mayweather if they were to fight down the track. Similar to Margarito, Cotto also has a large fan base. Often boxing fans are good judges of upcoming talent, so im not going to be suprised if either Cotto or Margarito turn out to be massive stars in boxing in the near future.

The Negative Side Effects Of Steroids and other consequences for Boxers
2008-01-07 05:26:00
Boxers who use steroids eventually get caught and banned for a period of usually 12 months for first offence. Second offence the suspension usually increases to 24 months. Both these suspensions are long and has the ability to undermine any progress a boxer could have been making throughout there career, not to mention the health problems that the drug steroids, brings on.Steroids leads to heart problems. Not just minor heart problems, but in a high percentage of steroid usage it is linked to heart attacks and heart disease. This is if its taken for an extended period of time, or just high dosage. For boxers its also illegal by all the major boxing associations and organisations and the drug testers from the sport. Also it damages a boxers legacy and fans perception of a fighter for there entire career.

Side Effects Of Creatine?
2008-01-07 05:21:00
Creatine has a lot of side effects. A lot of amateur level boxers use creatine as a form of enhancing protein and accelerating muscle growth and development. At the professional level of boxing creatine is not used. There have been conflicting reports of creatine being banned, so fighters have opted to stay away from it.It has the potential to have bad side effects such as kidney and liver problems. It has also been linked to problems with other organs. Some teenagers using creatine have reported that it tends to aggravate there already prominent acne and make it worse, although this could be a myth. However it does have some positive effects such as increased muscle mass and less recovery time after hard workouts. So if your an amateur fighter and thinking of using it, ask your local boxing professional and sports scientist.

Best Training to build up muscle fast
2008-01-07 05:17:00
To build up muscle fast which is what a lot of boxers need to do for upcoming bouts, its bets to keep a high protein diet and extra weight sessions. Boxers often let themselves go between fights and walk around 5 kg heavier than normal. But for those boxers that need to bulk up, to fight in a higher weight division for a future fight, extra weight sessions is done often.E.G Winky fighting Bernard Hopkins at Light heavyweight:- Winky had a high protein diet- Extra weights sessionsAs a result :- Winky lost a degree of speed and stamina- Winky tired in the closing rounds against HopkinsConclusion :- Fighting at light heavyweight was something Winky shouldn't have done. Its well above his natural fighting weight. It probably shouldn't affect his pound for pound rankings, and the fight also shouldn't have improved Hopkins pound for pound rankings. If the fight was to occur at middleweight then i think it should affect both fighters pound for pound rankings.

Cheap Boxing Tickets
2008-01-07 04:59:00
Boxing tickets are different compared to tickets of other sports. In that prices differ greatly. In America, the big fights such as Winky-Hopkins are around $80 for a bad seat. And the cheapest De La Hoya tickets are around $120. These are the back seats in the pavillion though. But for up and coming fighters, such as Pauli Malignaggi, the seating is around $50 per head. Obviously ring side seats for all these fighters become very expensive.A good example is seen in Australian boxing. They obviously have limited world champions but it represents boxing tickets entirely. E.G Danny Green charges $60 a seat to most of his bouts, even world title fights as seen against Stipe Drews". However Anthony Mundine sells his cheapest tickets for around $120 per head, even for non-world title fights against the likes of Nievas, Hamden and Clavero. So boxing tickets represent the forces of supply and demand which is healthy. It can be very expensive to see the best fighters and the best fights, but...

Wladamir Klitschko Could Unify the Heavyweight Division by the end of 2008
2008-01-05 22:32:00
Wladamir Klitschko could unify the heavyweight division by the end of 2008 . The heavyweight division is moderately strong, but Klitschko is a fantastic boxer. Easily the best and most complete in the division. He has speed, power, good ring movement and a smart boxing brain. He fights Sultan Ibragimov in the first of multiple unification fights planned in 2008. Sultan is a dangerous competitor, but Wladamir should win if everything goes to plan. Wladamir has a lot of fans, and rightly so hes a very entertaining boxer to watch. If he could unify the heavyweight division, it would be good for the sport. Its always healthy when theres a clear champion across a division. That is my argument for one belt for each division, something which makes boxing more legitimate and easy to watch for those who don't know as much about the sport.

Malignaggi's Career Taking Off
2008-01-05 22:28:00
Malignaggi is a current world champion. Even though he has lost to Miguel Cotto by a wide UD, he is still an improving fighter. So much so if they fought again in a few years time im sure that Malignaggi could reverse the decision and win with a UD over Cotto.Malignaggi has blistering hand speed, he lacks a bit of power, but his speed makes up for it allowing him to engage in constant pressure. He fights Ngoudjo tonight, and expect him to win a wide UD. How far can Malignaggi go in the game? Well im convinced a long way. But its still to early to tell and inaccurate with a fighter like Malignaggi who is improving so much.

Jeff Lacy Romours circulating about his next fight against WBA champion
2008-01-02 06:09:00
Romours across the internet is that Jeff left hook Lacy is close to signing to figth Anthony Mundine the current WBA interim super middleweight champion. This is some circulating information across the internet, although it hasn't been proven correct. It may just be romours and suspicion. However if a fight does go ahead with Mundine, Lacy's management need to look at what there striving for. Another loss could mean Lacy won't get any big fights and won't be clasified as a genuine contender. Many are saying he needs to loose muscle mass, because it looks as if its slowing him down. If Lacy changes his training regime and focuses less on muscle mass and more on speed he can become a force again in the division. Even if he goes back to his normal self, he is still very unlikely to beat Anthony Mundine, who is launching a serious challenge to Mikkel Kessler and could well beat him in a rematch. To further the point a lot of boxing fans think Mundine could upset Calzaghe. So if the t...

Fernando Vargas At His Peak, Appreciation Post
2007-12-30 13:29:00
Fernando Vargas at 21 was a very special fighter. A world champion in fact who was beating seasoned world class professionals who were ranked highly in the pound for pound rankings. He had speed, timing and more importantly a natural boxing ability higher than that of his competitors. Then a series of injuries plagued his career. He struggled to come back and it was evident Fernando Vargas was not the same fighter he once was. We should appreciate Fernando Vargas on his boxing skills and entertainments that he provided us. He knew that after he got back into the ring after injury, that he was far from that 21 year old fighter he once was. But he kept in there and kept figting the best. More ofen than not he lost the bigger fights after the injuries. But this didn't effect his legacy. When remembering Fernando Vargas in boxing history, remember that 20-21 year old who was world class and looked like he could beat anyone. And remember his heart when he clearly new he wasn't at his b...

Danny Green The World Champion
2007-12-16 12:56:00
Danny Green destroyed Stipe Drews tonight to win the WBA light heavyweight world title and set up a rematch with Anthony "the man" Mundine. Who he lost a wide UD to last year. Danny Green won every single round against Drews who fought poorly and even his corner stopped giving him instructions after the 9th round.Danny opened up early and landed some big shots in the opening couple of rounds. Since then, Drews was scared of the Green machines power. And Green won every single round on my books. One judge scored it 118-111 to Green. The other judge scoring it 118-110 to Green and the other 120-108 to Green. A solid win. Which now it must be said could he do some damage in the light heavyweight division and claim some other titles? My answer is simply yes. It also shows how good Anthony Mundine is aswell. These Australians can do some damage to the US based fighters. But the US public is unaware of them so it means there fighters will not fight these Australians. Overall, a sold night...

Boxing Talents Who Haven't Delivered
2007-12-13 13:22:00
Here is a list of boxing talents that haven't delivered. Mainly focused on the course of the current era. Also, does include world champions, as more was expected from them and more could have been achieved with more dedication.1. Zab Judah2. Anthony Mundine3. Fernando Vargas4. Mike Tyson5. Prince NaseemZab Judah had an abundance of talent, but went missing during the tough fights which have really defined his career. Anthony Mundine, well the guy has all the skill, ability and talent in the world, but he has no heart and continues to fight cab drivers. Fernando Vargas, a multiple world champion but battled weight issues, without these issues he could have been even greater. Mike Tyson, well he could have easily scored a lot higher up the list, but factors that were out of his control, stopped him from doing that. Tyson could have easily gone down as the greatest fighter that ever lived as we all know. Prince Naseem promised so much with his handspeed and impressive movement in the...

Pavlik is breaking into the pound for pound rankings and many are predicting he will go on to unify the middleweight division. However Jermain Taylor just has to remind Pavlik not to get to confident and to remember that he had him hurt in the 2nd round within a few punches of the fight being stopped. This is going to be a great fight. One in which the world will be watching.

Both these welterweights are high quality fighters. Williams has a major fan base and may even challenge Cotto or Mayweather in the future if the big dollars are there. Likely to be on the undercard of Roy Jones Junior vs Felix Trinidad. Should be an outstanding fight. Both these fighters know how to put on a show.

Mayweather Overcomes Hatton, To Be The Best

We hope the links and advice to those channels broadcasting the fight were helpful and that you watched it and enjoyed the fight.Mayweather overcame Hatton with a glorious performance to register a 10th round TKO over the second best boxer in the world. Mayweather's performance was simply flawless and he has cemented his legacy as one of the greatest boxers of all time, already. Never before have we seen such a perfectly defensive fighter. Never before have we seen such speed, power and accuracy in power punching. This guy, "Floyd Mayweather" is my greatest fighter of all time already. Hatton is class. He kept coming and made sure the tempo of the fight was as high as any fight i have seen. He landed a few good shots on Floyd. But the class of the greatest fighter, came through and once again he finally silenced his critics all around the world.Floyd Mayweather is going to take 10 months off for a vacation, something he has never done before. Jeff Lacy vs Peter Manfredo Round by Round Boxing Commentary
2007-12-07 04:28:00
Jeff Lacy vs Peter Manfredo round by round boxing commentary is going to be intriguing. Jeff Lacy is the overwhelming favourite while Peter Manfredo Junior is the heavy underdog. Lacy looks likely to stop this one early and don't be suprised if his famous left hook does it. However i just have this feeling that Peter Manfredo Junior is going to pull a special performance out of his back pocket and revive a career that has been stalled ever since the contender. Im expecting Manfredo to win a close points decision and revive his career, while stalling Jeff Lacy's at the other end.

Roy Jones Junior
2007-12-07 02:16:00
Roy Jones Junior . RJJ comes up against Tito Trinidad on the 19th of January. Trinidad is sure to start the favourite even though he is coming out of retirement, because he is much younger and RJJ has had a few poor performances as of late, as seen on numerous boxing videos. Roy Jones Junior in the fight against Hanshaw was less than impressive and boxing videos show he lost his fights before that. However i just have a feeling that Roy Jones Junior is going to pull something special out of his hat. Im expecting a silky and old school display from Roy Jones Junior where he shows his dazzling footwork and prodigious hand speed. Trinidad is going to come hard at Roy Jones Junior early on, but he will feel heavy legged late in the fight were ring rustiness will get the better of him. We are going to find free live boxing links and boxing videos of Roy Jones Junior vs Trinidad. We will put the links up here, so you the viewer get the best service and are able to make the fight, which is h...
The Strongest Boxer of All Time
2007-12-06 06:27:00
Well when your measuring a fighter by heart alone, Danny Green has to be the strongest of them all. Whenever there is a fight he is in there giving it 110%. He doesn't have the ability of Roy Jones Junior or Anthony Mundine for that matter, but he has heart more than both of those fighters combined. After loosing a couple of heart breaking decisions to Markus Beyer, he has got a final shot to be a world champion and this one looks like it will come true. After Antonio Tarver ran scared from Danny Green, Danny decided to offer Stipe Drews some big money to fight him in Perth. And he got that chance. Danny Green is fighting Stipe Drews on the 16th of December. And don't go looking for live free boxing links on the internet, spend the $50 and buy the real thing. This is going to be a cracker of a fight. Stipe Drews is 6 feet 5 inches compared to Danny at 6 feet 1 inch. There is a big reach to overcome but if anyone can do it, the Perth man can.Danny's going to rush over to Stipe from...
