Old Firm Postponed
2007-12-31 19:15:00
The Old Firm match scheduled for 2 January has been postponed due to the tragic death of Phil O’Donnell, a former Celtic player. O’Donnell collapsed at Fir Park on Saturday. The Motherwell captain was 35 years old. Out of respect, the Celtic/Rangers game, as well as Gretna/St. Mirren (Gretna plays at Fir Park) and obviously Hibernian/Motherwell. ...

Celtic 3 - 0 Gretna
2007-12-30 00:18:00
Celtic continue clean sheets in win over Gretna at Parkhead. Scott McDonald, Aiden McGeady, and Scott Brown all grab a goal when Celtic defeated Gretna in the last game of the year. The return of Artur Boruc from surgery, along with Bobo Baldé’s continued inclusion in the starting XI strengthened the Bhoy’s defense. Derek Riordan also made WGS’ starting XI, and was unlucky to get on the score sheet. The visitors had the first scoring opportunity off of a free-kick. Boruc made the save and the game continued, slightly in Celtic’s favour. Skippy opened the scoring in the 35th minute and grabbed his 17th of the season. Four minutes after the restart Scott Brown added another to Celtic’s tally with a sublime drive into the bottom corner from the edge of the box. With a two goal lead, the Bhoys coasted to an easy victory. They hit the frame of the goal several times. As full time was nearing, Aiden McGeady put the finishing touches on the victory.

Celtic defeat United at Tannadice to stay atop league. Celtic looked the better side in this exciting match, which featured the return of the great Bobo Baldé exactly a year to the day from when he broke his leg. The opening half was fairly exciting, with both sides creating some chances. But it was nothing compared ...

Bring Back Bobo Baldé!
2007-12-24 15:47:00
Strachan has finally gotten a bit of sense into his head: he has said that he has not ruled out putting Baldé in his starting XI for the upcoming games. In fact, WGS has claimed that Bobo is in his first-team plans. I don’t know if I believe any of this, but it would be ...

Celtic 1 - 1 Hibernian
2007-12-22 18:39:00
Disaster strikes at Parkhead as Celtic draw with Hibs and drop more points. The Glasgow and Edinburgh sides each took a share of the points at Celtic Park. Hibernian took the lead  when David Murphy broke through the dismal Celtic defense and his shot ricocheted in of the crossbar with Mark Brown unable to stop it. Yet ...

Who?s Leaving In January?
2007-12-19 05:00:00
Bobo Baldé Everyone knows it’s coming. Baldé will finally leave Parkhead, albeit in an almost disgraceful way. The man hasn’t played first-team for Celtic since Boxing Day last year when he broke his leg. WGS has frozen him out for some reason, even though he is by far the best defender on the roster. I can ...

2007-12-18 17:32:00
Celtic were inquiring about Sevilla fullback Andreas Hinkel on loan. I’m sure some of you have heard the story. Rumours were flying around;  one was that we had already signed him before the window. Anyways, Celtic came in with their tightfisted loan bid, wanting to try before they buy. Sevilla rejected that, saying that Hinkel will ...

ICT 3 - 2 Celtic
2007-12-16 20:55:00
Celtic succumbed to a vibrant Inverness Caley Thistle side away from home today. It truly was a great match to watch, very entertaining. Prospective January Signings
2007-12-09 19:18:00
The January transfer window is fast approaching, and WGS will be looking to bring in some fresh blood to replenish the squad due to injury. Particularly, I would like to see a quality striker come in, along with a centre half, and a left back. Perhaps a flanking midfielder with a lot of pace also. Here ...

Celtic 1 - 1 St. Mirren
2007-12-09 00:15:00
Celtic and St. Mirren shared the points today at Celtic Park in what was a dreary and dull performance from both sides. Celtic looked like the exhausted side they were after the midweek CL match, with the only efforts coming from McGeady and the ever-improving Jarosik. Both sides failed to make a definitive impact on the ...

Celtic - St. Mirren

Today’s match against St. Mirren will hopefully be an easy 3 points. Since Rangers didn’t play last weekend nor do they play this weekend, this is a chance for Celtic to get 4 points clear of the Huns. Artur Boruc will not be in goal as he went under the knife on Friday. That is just ...

2007-12-06 21:24:00
During the month of December, Celtic play an astonishing 8 games. That’s 2 games a week. Thankfully, they are all SPL games. The days that are highlighted are all the days the Bhoys play this month. So they’ll play on every Saturday but one. And Rangers asked for a game against Gretna to be postponed. Pussies.

Champions League Cash
