2007-11-14 20:02:00 Hey Guys,when i was opening Everest today i got suprised. Not that they added new limits (that i anyhow never reach :)). NO they also invented Omaha to their software. Honestly i have not the slightest idea about Omaha, but hey i thought to myself why not investing some Bucks to inform you what my first impression is.Since this whole thing just today got introduced - its like a fish fish place. Even me who is so bad in cashgame and barely have a strategy (i have already figured something out i call hand selection :) but thats it) i made really good money there because there so many people who just wanna give it a try. These people are already bad in NL Holdem and in Omaha they just get fucked - very very deep.I mean most of you guys know Omaha most likely better then i do, but i am already fascinated by the game and really hope PT will support the games as well. 2007-11-14 03:00:00 Hey Folks,lately i am back to Cashgame - i know i shouldnt but since nobody is writing any comments that i shouldnt i just do it.So what you think of when ou are playing Cash is that your bankroll will nearly every time to be to small for the level you plan to play. Thats bad because people with a bigger BR simply will outplay you by the amount of money. I bymyself had like this SHOT Sessions at Tokio where i won 600$ (starting with 80$) and lost it in the end against a bigger stack when he played a loose hand and i was so selfconfident from all my winnings that i couldnt let go the hand.Whenever i sit down at a table i totally adjust my game to the table. Sometimes you play at a superagressive table - these are the most risky but also the most profitable tables. A lot of players tell you that you have to play like a rock, but honestly i see it diffrent. I fear i become more and more scandinavian. Because this ignorants cant accept that there exist a diffrence between Poke r and Blackjack, Roulette, Slotmachines and all that, but at least i wanna try to explain WHY there is a diffrence!The major diffrence is not that you can get advantage over your opponent when you have the better cards (even this is another fact - thats why always the same people dominate the big Cashgames) - ok this is a BIG fact but not THE fact. For me the major fact is, that the Casino does not mind if i loose or win, because its anyhow making money the Casiono that is offering Poker (or the Online Platform) is earning money from the Rake (fee from the pot) - so Blackjack, Roulette and all that the Casino HAS to win, because this is just how it works and thats how the software is programed.You also can get advantage over your opponent by selecting carefully... 2007-11-12 10:30:00 Hey folks,yesterday i realized one thing. Its time to make a MTT - Break! Why? Simply because i am tired of being bound to the computer for a couple of hours and not be able to shut it down. And i am just not feeling like that. A SNG normally lasts an hour so if you are tired after one session you simply make a break. So thats why i concentrate for the end of the term (another 6 days) to SnGs.But what i really wanna talk about is NOKAS and another stupid guy who kicked me out of the tounrey while another person was on SIT OUT all the time. I mean the point was calling an ALL IN of a small stack and hit top pair and NOKAS was ALL IN as well and had best Kicker. So i was down to 335 Chips (ok it was stupid of me to call but hey i just wanted to make sure the guy gets eliminated) so we were down to 4 players and i was so short stacked its just a question of manner in my opinion. Becuase its the only tournament on Everest where i really wanna play my A-Game - anything else is just money. Since i start next week working for another company i have soon never the chance to play the tournament again if i am out fast then i can still sleep and when it works good my students have to suffer but they will understand :) So i am down to 850$ Bankroll so i decided to take 40$ to the Moroni and while i play the tourney i play there. 2007-11-11 13:56:00 Hey Guys,so basically i am what you know as a tourney player. It does not matter if its a Single Table or a Multi Table Tournament. The thing that matters to me most is that i have paid for a certain amount of chips and i cant loose more then my Buy In no matter what happens - so i am going to have fun at the table. That is maybe the most important reason for me not to be a cashgamer.For Cashgames you really need to control the level you play at. The Blinds are always the same and its much harder to play them. A player with a big bankroll does not mind to call your AK with 77 - even you raise big - in the tournament the big player looses that advantage he is out like you are. Of course he can also take more risky moves but thats an advantage for you because he does not mind about the money but still he cant buy in back into the tourney.So i will start today with SnG Impressions. 2007-11-11 06:46:00 Hi Guys,i was just reading at a Forum and someone was recommending SnG Wizzard. Since i play so many SnGs and i never heard of this program (since i am not that much into all that software stuff) i decided to download the trial Version.I dont know what comes is most likely a philosophical question. I mean the software introduction starts already with the comment that you need to know the hand range of your opponents otherwise the program will not display the right decisions (i even do not know if there exists a live mode - since i was so bored). So what the program basically does is to tell you what to do in certain situations when your opponent is defined as this or that kind of player. So what? I mean when i know the hand range and define through that his tightness and all that - why do i need a program then?? Thats all in my head already and works much faster then any computer in the world. It is really about that and i dont know why i should spend 99$ or even 59$ (an special off... 2007-11-10 23:20:00 Hey,after the party which was pretty good but sadly not having a massive crowd there. I was already home at 4.00 and felt not a bit tired. So i decided to make some quick email stuff and play three SnGs while i did that. Why three? Actually i just planned to play one but then it turned to be out, that i was after 5minutes (you read correct) in HU. Funnily i was SS in the HU and it was the longest in a while (i guess at least 25min.). I needed a while till i adjustet to my opponents style and since i had a feeling that this might take a while started two other tables :). HU won and the second table i was fast short stack and lost.So i was able to concentrate at the last table and wow at the bubble it was quite a fight nevertheless finally i decided to call a ALL IN of the SS (i was middle) with A5 suitet (versus AK) - but lucky me hit the 5 and the A and so i took the pot. 2007-11-10 13:04:00 Hey Guys,after all that Layout stuff - and i didnt play poker while i worked on this (damn why?) i am going back to business. That does not necessarily means you will not see future changes, but i guess for now its good enough.Later i will add a section were you always can see my PT - Stats even i am not sure about if i want you to see them :) What am i doing? Actually i played couple of 20$ SnGs and had a lot of bad luck or maybe i was not concentrated. I barely made it one time in the 3rd place and four or five times i was just leaving the tournament in 4th or 5th place and that makes me not happy at all. 2007-11-10 05:05:00 Hey Folks,i am still working on these whole new tehnology stuff and it really kills my mind, but i make progress. I have now also a RSS-Feed - i guess i had it always but now its easier to suscribe. I checked it with Feedreader and Google Reader and i by myself am shocked that some other guys dont use this option because its really cool. And i changed the design i will most likely change it again but still i am just checking whats possible and whats not - and actually its fun.Its just comfortable and i like it - hmm besides that i was playing two SnGs and damn. I can somehow understand that the guy left of me called my conti bet (which was none) with AK (i had QQ) and we were all in (he was) and found K in the turn so i was down to 400 and later basically just kicked out by another nonsense call. Shade - Movie Recommondation
2007-11-09 16:39:00 Hey Folks,tonight i was a little burned out (why i keep on spending small amounts on Cashtables and keep on loosing them - someone please stop me from that) and started zapping around in the TV. As a result i saw the beginning of a movie and guess what - it was about Poker. So i did quick research if it is worth it to watch the movie and i decided - yes.The name of the movie is called Shade. Who is playing in it: Sylvester Stallone, Gabriel Byrne, Melanie Griffith, Jamie Foxx and so on. THe movie is from 2003 and actually the story is quite interesting. The story is around a group of three professional card cheaters who actually talk another pro player (Jamie Foxx) into a game - and of course he looses it all. I hit couple of times sets and one time i was very lucky going ALL IN with AK against a small stack (but if ive lost that hand i couldnt have played so comfortable) and he showed QQ and the river was K. Lot of rumours, good things, bad things and all important informations you need to know.When i started at Everest Poker?I play now for more then three years at Everest Poker and it is still my favourite Platform.Why do i like Everest Poker?I really like the design of Everest.
