Rangers Need Another Sparnk
2008-03-31 02:39:00
I see the New York Rangers 2007-2008 Season as one of those Yankee Candles in a jar, a big one. When we first opened it, it smelled and looked fantastic. The Rangers lit that candle with an opening night win over Florida, and the candle began to burn, releasing the nice aroma and forming a pool of wax.

The Famous ? Loser ? Point!!
2008-03-27 03:03:00
The NHL did something a few years ago, they created a system that makes a team which loses in overtime get a point, I find this to be absurd, but it is making the play-off race exciting.

No Touch Icing Should Be Implemented
2008-03-26 00:14:00

Islanders Down Pittsburgh 4-1
2008-03-25 19:51:00
Will the REAL New York Islanders please stand up? Twenty four hours after getting taken apart by Philadelphia (in part due to a lack of discipline and and inability to get organized defensively), the Isles dished out a little payback to the Flyers’ Pennsylvania neighbors, the Pittsburgh Penguins.  New York got tallies from Richard Park (shorthanded), Bill Guerin, Sean Bergenheim ...

Carter, Lightning, Thrashers, Sundin, and Huselius
2008-03-25 01:43:00
Terry Koshan of the Toronto Sun reports that Philadelphia Flyers pending restricted free agent forward Jeff Carter could be the target of an offer sheet this summer. Perhaps that’s why Flyers GM Paul Holmgren has initiate contract talks with Carter’s agent, Rick Curran, as Chuck Gormley of the Courier Post Online reports. However, a deal isn’t close to being completed. Carter was almost traded along with a first round draft pick to the Toronto Maple Leafs before the trade deadline in exchange for defenseman Tomas Kaberle. The deal was called off when Kaberle refused to waive his no-trade clause. Erik Erlendsson of The Tampa Tribune suggests that with the addition of “couple of top-six forwards” (whether acquired via free agency or the entry draft), “at least one more veteran defenseman,” and “a solid backup goaltender” the Tampa bay Lightning would be a much better team.
