2008-07-21 20:04:00 Who Will Be This Years Best Football Prognosticator Ever?$400 Minimum Prize Pool !!The Sedge Court Journal is pleased to announce the rules and prizes for the 2008 Sedge Court Journal Football Handicapping Competition. Once again we are implementing some new competition features and exciting new changes to continue our trend as the "undisputed" leader of Free Football Pick Websites!!!! Changes:After much discussion we have decided to eliminate the pre-season requirement of providing picks to be eligible for the prize pool. Listed below are the tentative rules for the 2008 competition.Official Rules :1.) Every Capper will be allocated 10,000 points at the beginning of the College Kick-off. The competition will officially end after the Superbowl. 2.) Cappers are required to make a minimum of 3 picks per week. There is a maximum of 15 picks per week. Weeks begin on Tuesday and end on Monday. (i.e. Monday Night Football is the last game of the week)3.) Picks can be Over/Unders or Point...

Super Al Sunday as I like to call it. Here are my selections:Giant +12 over the Pats (1000 dawg bones): Patriots win this game and fly off into the sunset to an undefeated season. Proving once and for all that they are the greatest football team in the history of Professional football teams. They only thing is, they don't do it by 12 points. I remember the Patriots vs. the Rams, when the Patriots were getting 16 points to a heavily favored Kurt Warner team. Vegas lost it's ass. Quite frankly, I'm shocked the spread this high today. I was expecting more like an 11 9-11 point spread. Since this is the big game, I anticipate 1. The Giants stepping up because they don't give a fuck and have nothing to lose.... and 2. The Patriots having some nerves as they are on the verge of making history. This will be a boring Superbowl....

Having gone two for two yesterday, I'm looking to complete my third perfect week in the last four. My in depth analysis, has led me to the following conclusions. It is better to be a tight end than a wide receiver. The tight ends in this picture will eventually end up wide receivers... they all do. Here are my picks: I am never comfortable betting on Eli Manning. I just don't have faith betting on a guy that has talent, but no desire to win. It is obvious to me that Archie Manning spent more time with the crippled kid and Peyton during their youth. Once the cripple kid couldn't play anymore, he focused on Peyton.
