Ben Wallace Walking in Another Man?s Shoe
2007-03-30 17:09:00
Going into last night’s game against his former team the Detroit Pistons, all the talk was about Ben Wall ace. However, this time it was a good reason. Ben Wallace has jumped aboard with Stephon Marbury and is now helping him endorse his Starbury brand by wearing the Starbury II starting last night against ...

Bulls vs. Pistons Live Game Blog
2007-03-30 02:08:00
Big game tonight, I am very glad that it is on TNT and not ESPN so I do not have to put up with Bill Walton all night long. I really dislike the guy. Pregame 8:01 - Chuck is wearing a jacket and no pants, so this should be a fun night. 8:05 - That shot that ...

With Indiana’s loss to the New Jersey Nets, the Bull s officially clinced a playoff spot last night. I know it was given that we would be in the playoffs, but taking the past two years into consideration, it is going to be nice not having to watch scoreboards to see if we are going ...

A Strange Week Ends on a High Note
2007-03-27 16:58:00
Again guys, sorry for the lull in the posting, I had two midterms recently, one last week and one yesterday, but this is the life of a college student: I was very high on the Chicago Bulls coming into the start of this week. “I can see them running the table,” I was thinking to ...

Tyrus Thomas a Starter?
2007-03-15 19:43:00
If you would have asked me this question a couple of weeks ago, I would have laughed in your face and then I probably would have slapped you. Pretty hard. Thomas was forcing everything back then, and he was out of control. My displeasure for his play was at its peak a ...

Paxson Explains Standing Pat at Deadline
2007-03-13 19:52:00
So I was looking around on the JBB.com forums, the Bulls forum over there to be more exact and I saw that a member over there got his hands on a letter that John Paxson wrote to season ticket holders shortly after the trading deadline: March 6, 2007 Dear Bulls Season Ticket Holder: I hope this letter finds ...

Taking a Look Into the Future
2007-03-12 01:37:00

Bulls Lay an Egg @ Home
2007-02-27 16:37:03
To win tonight’s game, the Chicago Bull s had to basically do one thing. Contain, not even stop, just contain Dwight Howard. Well, the Bulls decided to do none of the above and lost 94-87. Dwight Howard paced the Magic with 21 points and 16 boards, while Darko chipped in with 14 and 16 and Jameer Nelson scored 18. For the Bulls, Ben Gordon dropped 32 and Luol Deng continued his hot streak as of late as he scored 23. The Bulls used what seems to be their new rotation and again played 10 players. You can see that Skiles is trying to give Thabo and Tyrus some minutes, but if the Bulls keep losing, those minutes are going to be hard to come by. Ben Wallace keeps proving me wrong and had a lack-luster performance tonight when I thought he was going to step up and shut down Howard. Ben Gordon brought the Bulls back and tied the game as the 3rd quarter ended, but with what has been becoming way too familiar, the Bulls let the game get out of hand late. Now I don’t know if...

Bulls vs. Magic Game Preview
2007-02-26 22:36:01
After a disappointing lost where they blew another double digit lead, the Bulls looks to get things right agiasnt Orlando at home. The Magic , who are also coming off a loss yesterday, are currently the 9 seed so they have a lot to play for. The Bulls are currently the 5 seed 1 game back from Cleavland who is holding the 3 seed. My Expectations: I am expecting the Bulls to bounce back after a tough loss yesterday. Kirk Hinrich needs to and will stay on the court and out of foul trouble, and he will keep Jameer Nelson from effecting the game too much. I will be very interested in seeing the Bulls style of play if they get another big lead tonight. Keys to Victory The Bulls need to hit the boards tonight with Dwight Howard in town. The got out rebounded by 20 yesterday, the most important being Webber’s tip in game winning shot. Kirk Hinrich needs to keep Jameer Nelson from getting into the lane too much. If he starts beating Kirck consistently, the help defense will lead ...

Same Ol? Same Ol? in Detroit
2007-02-26 10:35:02
Before I begin, I had a blast doing the live blog, so I have decided that I will do it whenever I can (Bulls on national TV). Hope you guys enjoyed reading it. With the game about to begin, everyone was watching waiting to see how the Detroit fans would welcome him. It was a mix of boos and cheers, but the boos were a little bit louder. Whenever Ben would touch the ball, the crowd booed him, and it got louder and louder as the game went along. As it did you could tell that it bothered Wallace, he was yelling at officials throughout the game, and it peaked with a T late in the third. He finished with only 8 boards and 6 rebounds while missing a bunch of key free throws late in the game. As for the game, the Bulls started off on fire, but then cooled when both Kirk Hinrich and Ben Gordon went to the bench due to foul trouble. However, the bench stepped up and the Bulls finished the first half on a 7-0 run. The Bulls continued the run into the third quarter, but as Bulls fan are...

Bulls - Pistons Live Blog
2007-02-26 04:35:01
Whats going on everyone, game time is quickly approaching and I am very pumped for this game. Huge game in the central. Check back as this blog is going to be updated at the end of each quarter. ***Pregame*** 12:32 - First of all, here is hoping that Bill Walton isn’t announcing this game. 12:34 - Nice quote from Ben Wallace, hopefully he sticks to what he says and tries not to overdo it on the offensive end. 12:38 - Pretty good piece on Chris Webber, I am really worried about him today. Hopefully we can keep him from dishing the ball off and making his teammates better. 12:41 - Big Ben rocking the fro’ very nice. 12:47 - Sweet, Hubie Brown and no sign of Bill Walton. 12:57 - Nice little intro for Big Ben, but the crowd booing more than cheering? What’s up with that? 12:58 - One last thing before the game starts, they need to get rid of this stupid Pussy Cat Dolls intro music. Terrible. ***1st Quarter*** 11:20 left - Big hit by Gordon responding quickly, g...

Bulls vs. Pistons Game Preview
2007-02-25 10:33:01
This Bulls - Pistons is a huge game for both teams two reasons. Chicago is sitting 4.5 games back from Detroit in the central and a win for the Bulls will bring them within striking distance of the Pistons. A win by the Pistons would give them some breathing room. The second reason this is a big game is kinda obvious. Big Ben is making his first return to Detroit since he left for Chicago over the summer. I am real interested to see how the fans will great him. Will they boo him for leaving or shower him with cheers for the memories? I think the fans will boo him, maybe if the Pistons were playing terrible they would cheer for him, but the Pistons are playing great basketball. Sebastian’s Expectations: I think early on that Ben Wallace is going to force up some shots early, trying to prove to the Pistons that he did have some offensive game. I think the Pistons are going to attack the basket and prove that Ben Wallace isn’t the dominant inside presence he was wi...

The Bulls Stand Pat at the Deadline
2007-02-24 22:32:11
If you could not figure it out by my selection of the picture above, the trading deadline has come and gone and the Bull s have decided not to make any moves. I am a little disappointed, but not for the reasons that you may think. In between sticking his head in a fish tank and kissing Dick Bevetta, Charles Barkley and the rest of the TNT staff has been clamoring for the Bulls to give up Luol Deng to get a low post scoring threat. Bulls GM John Paxson refused to make a play for either Pau Gasol or Kevin Garnett, and I totally agree with that decision. To acquire either one of those players Chicago would have to given up a rookie, a draft pick, or Andres Nocioni along with Luol Deng. In my opinion, this way to high of a price tag, and I was glad to see the Paxson didn’t handicap the future for a one season run. It is not all praise for Paxson though as I was very disappointed to see that neither P.J. Brown or Chris Duhon was traded at the deadline for a low post scorer. Now ...

Big Ben Starting to Tick?
2007-02-24 22:32:11
Yup. You are looking at the picture correctly. That is Ben Wallace attempting a reverse lay-up late in the 4th Quarter with the Bulls in a tight game. What makes this picture even sillier is that the Cavs didn’t attempt to foul him and he made the lay-up. Wallace showed why the Bulls made him the biggest free agent signing this off season, propelling the Bulls to a 84-78 victory. This is a huge win for Chicago as they now sit in 5th in the east only 1.5 games back from the #3 seed, which so happens to be the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Bulls defense also showed up holding LeBron to under 50% shooting, and even though he scored 29, he only had two assists. Which means, LeBron got his, but nobody else on the team did much of anything with the exception of Larry Hughes who dropped 20 (The next highest scorer was Eric Snow with 9). Back to the Bulls…they did what they do best and that is share the ball with four players, Wallace, Deng, Gordon, and Hinrich were all in do...

Deng Proves His Worth
2007-02-24 22:32:11
(Before I begin, I just wanted to apologize lack of a game preview post. My house’s internet was down until about 9:00 EST, so I had no chance to post one. Now, back to the blog…) With the passing of the trading deadline came the silencing of the rumors, and nobody on the Bulls is happier than Luol Deng, who dropped a career-high of 32 points as proof. “The fact that it is over , I think it’s good. The best thing about it is people stop talking about it,” said Deng, who along with Kirk Hinrich, propelled the Bulls to their third straight win since the All-Star break. The above mentioned Hinrich, who has been struggling at home, turned that around with a near triple-double: 20 points, 12 assists, and 8 rebounds.  Throw in another solid performance from Big Ben, a ho-hum 18 points  from Ben Gordon, and a solid defensive game-plan in which Arenas was allowed to have his (39 points) but from the rest of the team was shut down and you got a 105-90 win....

Bill Simmons? Grade: Stupid
2007-02-24 22:32:11
I know I already made a trading deadline post, but this has to be done. I was reading Amar Panchmatia’s Cav’s blog and did something that I probably shouldn’t have done. That terrible decision was clicking a link to a Bill Simmons ’ article. Now I usually never read article’s on a certain network’s webpage because of that stupid little Insider thing, but thats another rant for another day. Anyway back to that Simmons’ article, which was about the trading deadline and the lack of moves at the said deadline. In this article titled “No Balls Association” (Get it N.B.A.?), he graded, excuse me, ripped pretty much every team for not making moves at the deadline. Some of the grades he gave out included F-minus-minus-minus-minus, G, and my personal favorite…Z-infinity-minus. So what did he give the Bulls? F-infinity-minus. Before I begin, I just have to say I am not upset that he bashed the Bulls, everyone has their own opinion, ...

Well Hello?
2007-02-24 22:32:11
Whats going on NBA, and more specifically, Bulls fans. With this right here is my first blog post here at MVN.com, I would like to tell all of you readers a little bit about me. For those of you that are dying to read some Bulls related writing, don’t worry, starting tomorrow you will be able to read up on what I think the Bulls are doing right and what I think they are doing wrong. For now, however, let me answer some questions that you readers may have about me… Where are you from? New Jersey. How old are you? 20 years old. How long have you been a basketball fan? Since I could remember, around the age of 4. How long have you been a Bulls fan? Since the Bulls won their first title. Unlike most Bulls fans not from Chicago, I stuck with them. In your opinion what is the WORST decision the Bulls have made in your time? Trading away Elton Brand. We have absolutely nothing to show from that deal. In your opinion what is the BEST decision the Bulls have ma...
