Numbers and D. Wade rumors
2008-06-04 10:40:00
Upon release of the numbers of test results and drills at the NBA draft combine in Orlando, I was surprised at some of the numbers, but wasn’t to concerned. Michael Beasley who had been listed from 6′8 to 6′10 measured in at 6′7 without shoes, and 6′8 ¼ with. What does that mean? Absolutely nothing really. He has ...

Slim stood 6′9 and when I would go and visit my aunt Sheila, I was always amazed at watching him duck underneath doorways and watching him having the hunch ...

Kobe v. The World
2008-06-01 08:26:00
Image details: Bulls V Lakers served by picapp.com You have heard the argument plenty of times in your lifetime. It’s unfair to even mention the two because as Kobe has said, he’s Michael Jordan and I’m Kobe Bryant . The quickest way to start an argument anywhere is to declare Bryant the better of the two. What got ...

Welcome back Doug Collins?
2008-05-30 01:07:00
I know how you’re feeling right now. It came out of nowhere I know it did. We heard the names being mentioned, Avery, Tom, Dwane, Jeff but I never recalled a Doug being mentioned. As a matter of fact, I heard Doug say he was done with coaching numerous of times. Let us not forget the ...

THE BULLS ARE GOING TO TAKE BEASLEY!
2008-05-29 08:57:00
According to Derrick Rose Memphis teammate Joey Dorsey. Dorsey claims he has the inside on the decision. “Chicago’s got a lot of pressure on them because Derrick’s from Chicago,” Dorsey said, “but they’re going to take Beasley . I’ve got the inside. They’re going to get Beasley.” John Paxson still hasn’t let anyone know what his selection ...

Still Can?t Believe It
2008-05-28 17:58:00
It?s been a week and I still can?t believe how lucky us Bulls fans are. Last Tuesday night the Bulls were more than just lucky to jump over eight teams to win the #1 pick. They were lucky enough to have a new rebuilding plan fall into their laps. In two months, no matter who ...

Bulls win the lottery
2008-05-21 04:44:00
I had fallen asleep while trying to see what position the Bulls would be picking from next month. I awoke and immediately checked my phone. My friend Reggie had delivered these messages 7:15, Bulls are picking in top 3, 7:25 Bulls have the #1 pick, yes. I rushed to my computer and checked his messages ...

What If?
2008-05-17 23:15:00
The theme in the 2008 NBA playoffs should be changed from “There Can Only Be One” to “Thank God We’re Home.!” It seems that none of the elite teams can win on the road. The Boston Celtics had the best road record in the NBA at 31-10 but have been taken to the limit in ...

Reinsdorf feeling misled
2008-05-13 21:58:00
As Mike D’Antoni was introduced today as the new head coach of the New York Knicks , owner of the Chicago Bulls Jerry Reinsdorf finally spoke up with why he isn’t introducing D’Antoni as the Bulls head coach. “I’m disappointed in him,” Reinsdorf told the Chicago Tribune. “I don’t know what else we could’ve done. He chose to ...

D’Antoni gone, now what?
2008-05-12 05:31:00
It pains me to see the Bulls let another big name get away. It wasn’t a superstar player, it was a coach who would have infused life and effort out of each player on the roster, simply because of the style he brings. The thing that really should hurt all Bulls fans is Mike D’Antoni wanted to be here. The players wanted him to be here. The fans thirsting for some excitement wanted him to be here. I’m going to be honest, this current Bulls roster doesn’t want to be preached. This team needs to get out and run and with D’Antoni’s offensive system, the Bulls would have returned right back into an Eastern Conference contender.  The money could have been matched. $6 million over 4 years is affordable. While none of my friends agreed the New York Knicks will be better than the Bulls next year, they would say they would be more fun to watch. Think about it, if Stephon Marbury returns, he’ll buy into D’Antoni’s system because of the scor...

Round 1: Philadelphia vs. Detroit
2008-05-06 22:03:00
I had this series going to 5 games at the most. The 76ers are a gritty, athletic ball club and I knew they could catch Detroit slipping. I didn’t expect an opening series win, but maybe the Pistons took Philly lightly. During the first game, everything was going as everyone thought it would. The Pistons were ...

Round 1: Washington vs. Cleveland
2008-05-06 03:00:00
The series started out by Gilbert Arenas claiming that everyone wanted Cleveland in the first round. He was making the comment because the new pieces hadn’t yet clicked with the rest of the Cavaliers players. This would be the third straight time these two teams would be meeting in the playoffs and Arenas didn’t believe ...

Round 1 breakdown Boston vs Atlanta
2008-05-05 10:57:00
What a wild first-round of NBA playoffs. I found myself surprised and disappointed with a lot of individual and team performances. I also have reason to get excited because the Bulls look ready to have a coach with great systems, either on the offensive end or defensive end. At first, I though former Dallas Mavericks ...

A few more coaches for the Bulls to choose from
2008-04-30 16:57:00
When I went to bed, Rick Carlisle was still the favorite to become the Bulls next head coach. Then, this morning, I woke up to the news that Mike D’Antoni and Avery Johnson may be available. Personally, I’d prefer D’Antoni. Discuss among yourselves.

End of Season Review: Gooden, Simmons, Nocioni
2008-04-29 03:17:00
While I was highly upset with the Chicago Bears 2008 draft picks -not to say the player selected can’t contribute, but not taken a QB- I’m looking forward to find out the spot the Bulls will be selecting from. The three player’s being discussed today are two player’s who joined the team in the middle of the season ...

Season Review: Loul Deng
2008-04-26 06:59:00
I’m blinded by the potential this guy has. Truth is, he could average 25 points per game if he wanted to. He has a way of sliding by defenders, knifing into the lane and making the pretty finish. This was supposed to be the break out year, the year where he stood up and took ...

Q&A with Steve Weinman
2008-04-23 21:58:00
I’m still a little too shocked and appalled to talk about the Bulls season without inserting profanity between every other word. So, while Chris breaks down the Bulls roster, I talked to a guy whose team is still in the playoffs, Steve Weinman. Steve used to cover the NBA for MVN, and now he’s doing the ...

End of Season Review: Ben Gordon
2008-04-23 03:21:00
Ben Gordon : At times this season, you could question whether Gordon was going for his or trying to help the team get the win. The 3rd year man from UConn led the team in scoring for the second year in a row with 18 points per game. His was bothered by a wrist injury doing ...

First, Former Bulls head coach Scott Skiles has verbally accepted an offer to be the Milwaukee Bucks new head coach. Boylan out, who?s next?
2008-04-17 19:56:00
Bulls interim coach, Jim Boylan met with John Paxson this morning and learned he would not be returning as Bulls coach next season. ”I had a lot of fun doing it,” Boylan said Wednesday following the Bulls’ 107-97 win over Toronto. “It was full of all kinds of experiences, some good and some not so good. ...

Great numbers but what does it matter
2008-04-15 23:45:00
I recieved numerous of text messages yesterday as the Bulls went on an offensive outburst to beat the Milwaukee Bucks 151-135. Yes, that is in 4 periods, no overtime needed. I calmly reminded everyone that if you tuned into see the first 12 minutes (When the score was 45-39) it was a layup line worth ...

Young bigs step up as Bulls down Cleveland
2008-04-12 08:12:00
It looked like one of those nights where you knew a 50+ point performance was coming. LeBron James nearly outscored the Bulls in the first quarter by himself, going for 24 to their 25. He made all 10 of his field-goals and treated the fans at the United Center with 2 signature dunks and jumpers. He finished ...

Chicago fans, set your eyes on Rose
2008-04-07 22:28:00
First of all, I would like to apologize to those of you who had to watch the Saturday game in which the Bulls let Wizards center Brendan Haywood score a career-high 25 points for a 99-87 Bulls loss. It wasn’t even that close. I watched in disbelief as a team with Antwan Jamison and Gilbert ...
