Release Party: Denver Broncos release WR Javon Walker
2008-03-01 00:17:00
The Denver Broncos have released WR Javon Walker as of today. There's no telling what type of contract Javon Walker is looking for, but you have to think the Bucs will listen as just days ago they were rumored to be looking to deal for the guy. I'm not sure he's a good option with the recent injuries he's had, but at this point I wouldnt mind hearing a Walker-to-Bucs-Signing right about now.. ugh

Say it Ain't so: TE Alge Crumpler close to signing with Seahawks
2008-03-01 00:13:00
The boys at ProFootballTalk.com are reporting that the AJC has announced TE Alge Crumpler is close to signing a contract with the Seattle Seahawks . Son of a ... What a ridiculous Friday. This report comes on the heels of another report that the Seahawks won't sign Alge due to salary cap restraints!! Dang it

Bucs sign 1st of former NFC South Competitors...
2008-02-29 14:24:00
...UPDATE #5... The Patriots CB Randall Gay is set to meet with the Bucs on Monday. He will meet with the Saints prior to Monday's meeting, so good luck with that Bruce!! ...UPDATE #4... The Bucs are set to meet with Saints WR Devery Henderson. Who? If Drew Brees couldn't make this guy a presence, then why would Jeff Garcia be able to? Other than speed, Henderson is no different than Stovall and Clayton. Why bring in the same receiver we already have. You have the cap space, you either use it on UPGRADES (who are veterans!!!) or not at all. At least spin some info on the better receivers not wanting to come to Tampa... and for those who use the Draft as a way to upgrade the WR position. GET REAL. There isn't a single Rookie that will make an instant impact for a club, especially not a club picking 20th.... We have to upgrade now! Sign ing a guy who averages 20 catches a season won't cut it....UPDATE #3... The Bucs Beat is reporting the Bucs are close to a deal with TE John Gi...

Tampa Tribune: QB Brian Griese back to the Bucs?
2008-02-29 02:29:00
Roy Cummings of the Tampa Tribune is reporting the Bucs may bring QB Brian Griese back to Tampa, once the Bears officially release the QB and they will. With Jeff Garcia, Luke McCown, Chris Simms, and Bruce Gradkowski... do we really need another QB? Especially a has been like Griese? The QB starved Chicago Bears are cutting the guy!! What does that tell you? I'll be so pissed if we lose out on key free agents while trying to hammer out a deal with QB Brian Griese . Come on Bruce and Jon, resist the urge fellas. We all know you want to bring in another QB, but just hold off for another year or two. Garcia's got us for the next two and I wouldnt give up on Chris Simms just yet... Please don't sign this creep

Free Agents: Bernard Berrian, Bryant Johnson, and Donte Stallworth
2008-02-29 02:21:00
I've been thinking about it alot, are the Free Agent Wide Receivers that are currently available worth going after? Initially I thought, No, no their not. Then I actually took a look at who was available and General Manager Bruce Allen ought to pursue one or two of the guys below: Hear me out. We currently have 36 year old Joey Galloway and 31 year old Ike Hilliard. To me, Stovall and Clayton have done nothing to warrant even worrying about giving another receiver their reps. Donte Stallworth and Bernard Berrian are 27, while Bryant Johnson is 26 years old. Stallworth has been the most consistent Receiver of the bunch since breaking into the league in '02 with the Saints. Bryant has probably had the least amount of opportunities playing along side Anquan Boldin and Larry Fitzgerald. Berrian has gone over 700 yards two seasons in a row despite having junior league QB's throwing him the ball. Stallworth is a speedy, elusive Wide Receiver. Despite being 6 feet 200 pounds, the guy h...

Free Agency Begins Tonight at 12:01AM and the Bucs must spend MONEY
2008-02-29 01:00:00
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are $44 MILLION DOLLARS under the Cap!! The fellas at ProFootballTalk.com are saying the Bucs must spend $28 million of that 2008 cap room in order to comply with the $100.22 million per-team minimum. In other words, GM Bruce Allen is gonna be one busy man the next couple weeks.Allen's work has already begun for sure (with planning for the NFL Draft and getting in touch with Agents), but tonight at 12:01am is when his work will pick up heavily and it should with the start of Free Agency .This team needs immediate help at: Wide Receiver, Cornerback, Defensive End/Tackle, Wide Receiver, Offensive Line, and did I mention Wide Receiver? Good Luck Bruce, I'm looking forward to the madness!!!

Fans Demand: A "Ring of Honor" for Franchise/Stadium
2008-02-28 18:46:00
Buc 'Em contributer Stixx692001 eluded to it early in the off-season and the fact that the Kansas City Chiefs are about to announce another to theirs any day, the Bucs really ought to think about a "Ring of Honor " for their Franchise and Stadium . The Fans want it, the City needs it, and the Players are more than deserving of it. What better way (other than monetary gifts) can the Bucs show the pride of their organization that they appreciate them? A Ring of Honor would do that!! Stixx suggests selecting the "Ring of Honor" inductees for every 4 years of the Bucs existence, that will probably be easy early on, as Stixx nominates Lee Roy Selmon as the first inductee, but once we get closer to the recent good years of the late 90's it should prove pretty tough. With that, what do the fans think? Tampa Bay Buccaneers "Ring of Honor" or NOT? Let's hear it... For the record I think it would be pretty cool. surveys - Take Our Poll
Kevin Carter and Greg Spires Released by the Bucs
2008-02-28 01:07:00
The Bucs announced the releasing of Defensive Ends Kevin Carter and Greg Spires today. It's assumed Carter was cut to avoid paying out a 2 Million Dollar roster bonus to him and Spires was cut, because there's no way the Bucs were going to pay a back-up 3.8 million next season regardless of how sick and crazy a beard the man has... I'm not sad to see either of these guys go. The St. Pete Times feel the Bucs will bring back Carter at a cheaper rate. I was sick to see him signed last off-season and I'd be just as sick to see him get signed again. He's lethargic on the line and it's pretty unacceptable that the Bucs would put up with that. So he's great with his teammates, make him an assistant. Spires was a member of the Superbowl Team and has been a rock over the years, but he hasn't been healthy and wants (or believes) to start, so the Bucs had to cut the ties. This leaves the Bucs incredibly thin at DE with Gaines Adams, Greg White, Charles Bennett, and Marquies Gunn (wh...

Denver Broncos WR Javon Walker on verge of being Cut?
2008-02-28 00:48:00
The Denver Broncos may release WR Javon Walker reports Comcast Sports Net. Rather than pay the Wide Receiver the 5.4 million dollar roster bonus he's due to make on March 4th, its widely speculated that the Broncos will just cut him, making him a free-agent. The Eagles, Bucs, and Redskins are expected to be in the running for Walker's services. If all we have to do is sign Javon to bring him aboard, then I'm all for it. Would I get excited about it? Probably not.. the guy hasn't had a clean bill of health in the NFL, plus whenever he's had decent success, he's complained for more money, so I'm not geeked up for a Walker signing, but I do think its a decision worth muling over by GM Bruce Allen.
Free Agent Meeting: Bucs did meet with Crumpler and could meet with Coleman
2008-02-27 19:16:00
The St. Pete Times is reporting the Bucs did meet with Free Agent TE Alge Crumpler yesterday and will meet with DT Rod Coleman today or tomorrow.. Crumpler on meetings with respective teams: "My agent was getting so many calls that I thought it would be easier just to go there [Indianapolis Draft Combine] and meet with everybody," Crumpler said. "I really didn't want to go to five or six cities around the country. I'm not looking for the red carpet treatment, I'm just looking for a team I can win on. I'm not bitter, its not like I have to be in the NFC South so I can play the Falcons twice. I'm more concerned about the team I'm going to play for" - From Jeff Schultz of the AJC Crumpler named the following teams as potential suitors: Green Bay, Buffalo, Detroit, Seattle, Carolina, Tampa Bay, and Tennessee. Word is the Tennessee Titans have the early edge on signing TE Alge Crumpler. Alge Crumpler took his physical for the Bucs yesterday, it will be interesting to see where t...

Free Agent Cornerback, Asante Samuel, likes the Bucs
2008-02-26 04:23:00
News of the Weird Former New England Patriot and current Free Agent Cornerback Asante Samuel apparently has the Bucs on his short list of off-season spots he would like to land. His agent goes so far as to say: "That [Tampa Bay] is a situation that makes sense," said Alonzo Shavers, Samuel's agent. "Tampa Bay is definitely worth considering. It was an organization that was in the Super Bowl not too long ago. It is an organization Asante wants to play for. It's definitely something that makes perfect sense for everybody." - Tampa Tribune You're probably wondering why I would file this under News of the Weird, especially seeing how CB Brian Kelly paid 500k this off-season to ensure he won't return to Tampa and Asante Samuel would be a heck of a piece to fill BK's shoes with. The reason it's weird is... when have the Bucs ever given 8 mil to a Cornerback? Samuel might be 27, have (2) Superbowl Rings, and be considered as an upper echelon CB, but we all know the Bucs don't typ...

DE Greg White: One Season under his belt and he wants to get PAID
2008-02-26 04:07:00
Buccaneers DE Greg White recently finished his first complete season in the NFL and he's ready to be PAID for it reports the Tampa Tribune. Greg White finished his Rookie Season at the age of 28 with 8.5 sacks, 7 forced fumbles, and 26 tackles. He clearly made an impression on the competition and is hoping to have left an impression on his General Manager Bruce Allen. White is an exclusive-rights free agent, meaning Tampa Bay is the only team that can negotiate with him, thus ending any leverage he could ever dream of having. With a lack of any serious leverage, the Bucs have already offered Greg a contract worth a little more than the 300k he earned last season. I think anyone can see where Greg White is coming from.. He was drafted in '02 by the Texans (and then cut), from '06 - '07 he played for the Arena League Orlando Predators (he had 15 sacks in '07). Head Coach Jon Gruden had to talk the guy into trying out for the Bucs and giving up his security in the Arena Leagues. ...

Indianapolis Colts place Franchise Tag on TE Dallas Clark
2008-02-20 04:22:00
As expected, the Indianapolis Colts placed their Franchise tag on TE Dallas Clark today. This all but makes him completely unavailable this off-season. Teams can still attempt to sign the Tight End, but two 1st Round Draft Picks would be forfeited should said team be able to sign Clark. I, along with 99.9% of the NFL community, never expected Dallas Clark to see Franchise-Tagless Free Agency this off-season. Had he hit the market, that would have been as stunning as a certain TE hitting the market last friday thanks to Atlanta trying to remove any fan appeal from their football team. There's no way I can argue that the Bucs should give up two 1st Round Draft picks to acquire Clark, a Top Flight Wide Receiver who's name rhymes with Hitzgerald maybe, but not a Tight End. Especially when you-know-who is on the market and only cost $money$ .... Dang you Indy, dang you!

The Orlando Magic's Dwight Howard is a man among children in the NBA, eh. I don't think winning the Slam Dunk Contest will help Coach Van Gundy's pleas for Howard to focus more on defense. Tampa Bay Buccaneers RELEASE Captain Fear, Derrick Brooks, and Cheerleading
2008-02-20 01:18:00
Okay, so the Bucs didn't really release Captain Fear , LB Derrick Brooks , and the Cheerleading Squad, BUT I figured since everyone else in the NFC South is releasing guys: Crumpler (ATL), Coleman (ATL), Morgan (CAR), Wahle (CAR), and Sunil (NO, our Saints Blogger, he's no where to be found)... The bucs might as well try and follow suit. I kid I kid.. I would become deathly ill if the Bucs released the triplets above. Captain Fear is the MASCOT of all Mascots, LB Derrick Brooks is a first ballot Hall of Famer, and the Cheerleading Squad, well, yeah... It's going to be a loooong off-season

Bucs Beat: Tampa Bay Buccaneers to contact agents of Crumpler, Coleman
2008-02-19 19:33:00
...UPDATE... The Carolina Panthers and Seattle Seahawks are also in the mix for Crumpler's services. It should be illegal for the Panthers to have Jeff King and Alge Crumpler. It should take a while before Alge decides where he'd like to play, but I hate that the Panthers are in the mix. Being able to play in North Carolina and with old teammate Julius Peppers could be pretty tempting...The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are set to contact the Agents of DT Rod Coleman and TE Alge Crumpler, reports the St. Pete Times. The Bucs may reach out as early as today... This is exactly what I wanted to hear. Kudos to Stephen Holder and the rest of his staff at the St. Pete Times, way to bring some legitimacy to the "Bucs needing to target Crumpler-Coleman discussion"..

Tampa Bay Buccaneers finally sign a Wide Receiver
2008-02-19 03:08:00
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed Pre-Season MVP Wide Receiver Paris Warren to a one year contract. Warren finished the Pre-Season with 15 Catches for 191 Yards and 4 Touchdowns. He averaged over 12 yards a catch and was a lock to make the Bucs Final Roster cuts, but a freak leg injury ended Paris' dream Pre-season run. A dislocated ankle stopped Warren from potentially cracking the Bucs Gameday roster in '07. Paris on his recovery: "I'm doing good," Warren said. "I'm done with rehab. I'm just working on strengthening right now. I'm ready to go, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else." - Bucs Beat With David Boston finally out of the picture and WRs Michael Clayton-Maurice Stovall not seizing their opportunities, the door is wide open for Paris Warren to claim the roster spot he earned in August. I'm sure Paris is keeping a close watch on the Bucs Wide Receiver talks this off-season as will his fan base. I for one would like to see Paris get a shot to start, but if the Buc...

The Jets Laveranues Coles wants a long term deal
2008-02-19 02:44:00
Jets WR Laveranues Coles is frustrated in New York. He feels the team should extend his contract so that he can retire a Jet: "I played hurt," Coles said. "I ran clear-out routes for Jerricho (Cotchery). They praised me for my toughness and [to] not worry about my numbers. They tell me that I'm an unselfish player. I do everything they ask me to do and then when it comes to business, they tell me my production is down. That's not right. I think I have four or five good years left. I just want to know where I'm going to end my career and I've made it clear I want to retire as a Jet" - Star Ledger Why don't you just retire a Buccaneer Laveranues? If GM Bruce Allen could some how bring in a difference maker at Tight End and another difference maker at Wide Receiver, this offense would be set. The line has another year of experience under its belt, Earnest Graham is as solid as they come, add a Crumpler and Coles esque abilities to Garcia's arsenal and we're ready to rival the ...

Click here to send Alge a love note, I mean, your reasons for why he should come to Tampa. I did: ALGE, I've followed you my whole career. Short and Sweet = Give GM Bruce Allen and the Bucs a shot. We have a ton of cap space and a desperate need for a dominating Tight End such as yourself. 3.4 mil is nothing, I'll start an uproar at BucEm.com if you're not offered at least 4.5 mil to come to Tampa. Jeff Garcia, Potential Perennial Playoff Team, did I mention a consistent and accurate Quarterback? We need YOU in Tampa Alge. Best thing is, we don't have a #83 representing the team, come claim your jersey man!!! If you don't come to Tampa good luck with your job search. Just make sure you join a contender with a decent QB. I dont want to hear of you signing with the Raiders, Cardinals, Dolphins, etc. TAMPA TAMPA TAMPA!!! Atlanta Falcons RELEASE TIGHT END ALGE CRUMPLER: Bruce do the RIGHT THING!
2008-02-16 00:34:00
The Atlanta Falcons have just released 5 Time Pro-Bowl Tight End Alge Crumpler reports ESPN.com. This is the greatest opportunity the Bucs could ever have to acquire a REAL Tight End. Sorry Alex, but Alge is a MAN and would be THE MAN in Tampa. Crumpler was set to make 3.4 Million this season, that is NOTHING. Chump change in this day in age. There is NO REASON why the Bucs can't-won't-shouldn't pursue and sign my man Alge Crumpler. Checkout his stats below: We all know Alge's had to work with some of the most erratic QB's in the League, Vick, Harrington, Leftwich etc.. He's been nothing but durable up until this season. Some might think of Crumpler as a prima donna for the way he outed then Head Coach Bobby Petrino last season. Alge's not that guy and never has been, he just got completely fed up with the hand he had been dealt and who can blame him? Come on Bruce Allen, bring FREE AGENT TIGHT END ALGE CRUMPLER TO THE CITY OF TAMPA AND NEVER LET HIM LEAVE!!! PLEASE and THA...

Buccaneers primed to acquire a Wide Receiver and Tight End this Off-Season?
2008-02-14 04:39:00
With QB Jeff Garcia, LB Derrick Brooks, and CB Ronde Barber only having a couple seasons left in a Buccaneers jersey, we're clearly in a Win-Now position. There's very few mobile veteran QB's in the NFL that can step in and command a team like Jeff Garcia has thus far. I believe GM Bruce Allen has to pull a Blockbuster Trade and acquire a Top Flight Wide Receiver . Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald fits that mold. Oh he's going to cost more than I'm sure the Glazers would like to spend (14.5 mil in '08 and 17.3 mil in '09), but he's also 24 years old, averages over 1,100 yards a season, and has proved to be durable over his short NFL career. Fitzgerald brings an excellent work ethic and character to the playing field. The bigger question might be what the Cardinals want for Larry and whether they're even interested in trading the phenom... My guess is they're not, but Allen has to turn over every stone. To be the best, you have to pay and acquire the best. The David Bos...

Jon Gruden hunting for Quarterbacks? What's New..
2008-02-12 03:24:00
Rick Stroud from the St. Pete Times suggests the Bucs might pursue a Veteran Quarterback this off-season despite having Jeff Garcia, Luke McCown, Bruce Gradkowski, and yes one more, Chris Simms on the roster. Bruce Allen still dreams of the day QB Jake Plummer will join the team. Even with that log jam at Quarterback, Rick still thinks the Bucs might go after a Veteran QB.Of all the QB's on the Free Agent market, QB Daunte Culpepper is considered the favorite, with Rex Grossman, Brian Griese, and Chad Pennington as runners up... First of all, what part of a NON-MOBILE Quarterback don't we all understand? Unless the Quarterback is a Tom Brady type, he will get beat up in Gruden's offense. Culpepper may have a strong arm, but does he have the smarts to pick up a offense, Jeff Garcia is still trying to learn? I had to refrain from vomiting while typing Brian Griese's name once again, that ride was over a long time ago. Rex Grossman and Chad Pennington appear to be Trent Dilfer's g...

Free Agent Acquisition: Indianapolis Colts Tight End Dallas Clark to the Bu
2008-02-08 04:17:00
If by some insanely lucky chance the Indianapolis Colts DO NOT Franchise Tag Unrestricted Free Agent Tight End Dallas Clark, oh the Bucs should be all over him like Jovan Haye at the breakfast table. #1 - Dallas Clark is only 28 Years Old #2 - Each year he gets better and better. Last season he had 11 Touchdown Catches #3 - Couple Clark with the addition of a Good Wide Receiver and the Offense is instantly upgraded #4 - Maybe it will help light a fire under TE Alex Smith. The potential is in him, but for whatever reason he hasnt progressed Today is the first day Teams have been able to place the Franchise Tag on its coveted players. Should Dallas Clark be tagged and all indications are that he will be, then the Bucs should steer clear. We can't afford to give up two 1st Round Picks for a Tight End. At best, Clark would be a complementary player to whichever Wide Receiver GM Bruce Allen is able to lure to Tampa. Dallas would be a great addition however and will be heavily...
Tampa Super Bowl Logo Released
2008-02-07 02:13:00
NBC has released the 2009 Super Bowl Logo , to be hosted by none other than the City of Tampa . As you can see below, the logo leaves a lot to be desired. All in all though, it is a Super Bowl Logo and unless your team WINS the Super Bowl, the Logo itself is really irrelevant.. To help liven up this post, I've included some of the Super Bowl Commercials that I thought were just hilarious. Check 'em out below: Everybody knows you don't mess with Doritos. Not now, not ever! This was hands down the funniest Commercial of the night. Don't act like you knew the kid was going to vomit! Priceless! The first time I saw this commerical, the sound was muted on the T.V. The Car Commericals were pretty out there this year. This was my 2nd favorite Commercial. The stain sounds eerily similar to System of a Down lead singer, Serj Tankian I know, I know, it's Justin Timberlake, but the Mailbox scene is ridiculous!

SUPERBOWL CHAMPIONS: New York Giants!!
2008-02-04 13:15:00
The New York Giants aka The G-Men beat the New England Patriots 17-14 to become Super Bowl Champions !! That was one heck of a football game. I never really liked QB Eli Manning and it had nothing to do with his playing ability, something just rubbed me wrong about his Draft Day shenanigans, BUT he earned my respect last night. Breaking that sure-fire sack to lead the Giants over the Patriots was breath taking to watch. I couldnt be happier for Plaxico Burress, Michael Strahan, and Amani Toomer. Those guys are the reason I love sports so much. They leave it all out on the field. Congratulations Giants Fans, you guys earned this victory!!!

Super bowl Sunday: Pay close attention to WR Randy Moss
2008-02-01 03:52:00
Not that anyone has to be told this, especially Football Fans, but you may want to pay close attention to the Super Bowl on Sunday if you're a Bucs Fan. Not because the Patriots could go UNDEFEATED, not because the team who beat the Bucs in the first Round of the Playoffs could turn out to be Super Bowl Champions, and certainly not because of the ridiculous commercials that will run throughout the telecast. No, you should watch in order to keep a close eye on the one Wide Receiver the Bucs truly have a chance of signing this off-season: Randy Moss Sure Randy's publicly talked about wanting to return to the Patriots. Sure Quarterback Tom Brady has said, wherever Randy Moss goes, I too will go. Sure, Randy Moss now has a primary residence in the Boston area. Plain and Simple, Randy Moss made 2.5 million this season. He will turn 31 years old in less than two weeks. He has one more shot at banking before he finishes his NFL Career. In steps Bucs GM Bruce Allen. Give it to Allen, he ...
Atlanta Falcons to CUT RB Warrick Dunn? Return to Tampa?
2008-02-01 03:27:00
With the new Coaching Staff finally in place in Atlanta , there's increased chatter that former Bucs RB Warrick Dunn might get cut, as the new Coaching Staff wants to implement a Power Running game (Because that worked so well with T.J. Duckett). Warrick was asked about the possibility of being cut and what his options would look like: "If I wasn't a Falcon and I went back to Tampa or played for coach [Tony] Dungy, it would be something that's full circle," Dunn said. "It's not what I'm hoping for and wishing for, but you never know" - Atlanta Journal-Constitution To be honest, I would be tickled to have Warrick Dunn roaming the sidelines once again. I loved watching Warrick Dunn at Florida State and followed him to the Buccaneers in '96. I was pissed to see him go to the Falcons (what a bone-head move Rich) and it would be great to see Dunn return to Tampa and retire a Buccaneer. However, the competitive side of me wants no part of a Warrick Dunn reunion. I wish he never lef...

Off Topic: New York Mets acquire P Johan Santana from Minnesota Twins

In other news, My New York Mets have acquired Two Time Cy Young Winner in Pitcher Johan Santana from the Minnesota Twins . The Mets sent over FOUR Prospects in OF Carlos Gomez, P Philip Humber, P Kevin Mulvey, and P Deolis Guerra. The trade is contingent upon the Mets signing Santana to a contract extension, they have a 72 Hour Window in which to sign Johan! This trade was so shocking I couldn't help myself from posting this news on our Bucs Blog, surely there's another Mets-Bucs Fan among us? At any rate, I never publicly bemoaned General Manager Omar Minaya at either of my two favorite NYM's Blogs: MetsBlog.com or AmazinAvenue.com, but I was quietly beginning to question whether he (and the Wilpons) could truly deliver an Ace to the Mets Faithful. I thought Barry Zito from last off-season was the answer, maybe Omar had Johan in mind then and decided to save that 100+ Million Dollar Contract. Smart man. Can lightning strike twice for Bucs-Mets Fans? Can General Manager Bruce Al...

2008-01-29 05:29:00
It's no secret the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are in search for Wide Receiving help this off-season. Even Starting QB Jeff Garcia eluded to as much as his season ended in a loss to the Super Bowl bound New York Giants... "I'm sure Coach Gruden [and GM Bruce Allen] will go out and try to make this a stronger team on the offensive side" - Bucs Beat Here's a couple Wide Receivers General Manager Bruce Allen should look into acquiring: Who's that? Most people would expect the Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald to garner the most Trade Interest this off-season, but that 15 Million dollar Cap Number for next season says it all. The Bucs should really focus on Fitzgerald's teammate in Anquan Boldin , as he is a weapon the Bucs have lacked on offense. Dollars and CentsQuan's set to make 2.5 Mil next season, the Bucs can clearly afford that and he would be under contract for the next three years while his contract would only max out at 3mil in 2010. Michael Pittman looking for more touches in '08
2008-01-29 02:55:00
Free Agent RB Michael Pittman is asking his Super Agent, Drew Rosenhaus, to look for any opportunites that may exist for Pittman beyond Tampa reports the Pewter Report. Pittman would LOVE to return to Tampa, but if not, he's cool with that: "I'd love to come back to Tampa. It would all depend on what my situation and role would be in the offense," said Pittman. "I wouldn't mind testing the free agent market. It all depends what teams are looking for out there. I love Tampa and I love my teammates. The fans are great. But it's really all about what situation is best for me. If Tampa really wants me here they'll do something that will keep me here. If not, it might just be my time to move on. I'll leave all of that up [to] Drew, Bruce Allen and Coach Gruden" - Pewter Report I never really liked the Michael Pittman signing back in 2002. It had nothing to do with his character, I just didn't care for his style of running and still don't. He reminds me of (and it pains me to sa...
