The ODI series between India and Pakistan to start with first ODI in Guwaha

A much awaited 5-match ODI series is just going to start with the first ODI against India and Pakistan in Guwahati on November 5. Despite of much conflicts in Paksitan PCB has decided to go on with the series and the manager and players have told that they will just concentrate on the match. The match is going to start at an unusual time of 8:30 in India. Here are some of the notes regarding the match and series between India and Pakistan:1)India with a lot of openers: Almost all the Indian batsmen are suited for openers. Ganguly, Tendulkar, Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir and Robin Uthappa are best suited in opening postion while other three batsmen Dhoni, Yuvraj and Pathan are same type of players. Sohail Tanvir came as a replacement for Shoaib Akhtar in the world twenty20 and just became a real surprise package. The way he bowled with left hand was amazing and most batsmen got surprised from his bowling. After a grand success in the world twenty20, Tanvir got a chance to play in the ODIs against South Africa and too got selected for the ODI series against India. He needs to continue his bowling form and even improve it in India.However International cricket fans have not witness another talent of Sohail Tavir and its batting. His aggressive batting was somewhat witnessed in the final of world twenty20 where he hit two sixes to take Paksitan nearer to the target and also in the first ODI against South Africa but thats not enough about him. After a display of poor form in recent matches, Rahul Dravid gave up the captaincy in order to concentrate on his batting. But it seemed that he was not required in the team as a batsman but only as a captain. Rahul Dravid didn't get chance to prove as soon as he left his captaincy. Younis Kahn has tried bowling a lot of times. In a test match against New Zealand, he was smashed for 28 runs in an over by Craig McCullum. Even though he hasn't given up and tried bowling (actually when the match was heading towards draw). Khan even bowled as an opening bowler in an useless test match against India. But he showed a real bowling talent in a practise match against Delhi. He took two early wickets and showed some swing with his slow bowling.Younis Kahn played a vital part for winning the match for Pakistan. Khan is a well known batsman and a filder. Misbah-ul-Haq- Is he just a twenty20 specialist?

Misbah-ul-Haq was unbelievable in the ICC world twenty20 2007. The way Misbah played in two matches against India and also agaisnt Australia were superb. Though Pakistan couldn't win the final of ICC world twenty20 the way Misbah took the team in the verge of winning was mind-blowing.But is Misbah-ul-Haq limited to this much only? He was selected for the test and ODI series against South Africa but couldn't even show satisfactory cricket. His ODI average is just 30 and that in test is 17 even worse. His performance agaisnt South Africa was very poor and if this happens against India too he cannot remain in the team just because of his performance in world. twenty20.Come on Misbah, do it again. Prove that your performance in world twenty20 was not just by luck or something like that. Misbah is selected in the ODI series agaiant India starting form 5th November. There is needs to prove he is not just a t20 specialist.

Shoaib Akhtar completed his 13-matches ban and played against South Africa in the deciding ODI of the series. Though Pakistan lost the match and the series, the good news for Pakistani cricket fans is Shoaib Akhtar is back in action. Shoaib took 4 wickets giving just 43 runs in 9 overs and didn't only proved that he is fit but also proved to be one of the best bowlers in present time. bewareAkhtar removed South African captain Graeme Smith in the 3rd ball of the inning making him bowled. He didn't took any wickets for long time then. But made a solid comeback in the end of the inning agaisnt South Africa taking 3 more wickets. A 15-man squad has been announced by India for the first two ODI matches against Pakistan . Rahul Dravid and Dinesh Karthik has been dropped from the Indian team because of their bad form. While Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir are going to make come-backs in the ODI team. The All-rounder from Uttar Pradesh, Praveen Kumar has been selected after his good form in domestic cricket. Pakistan has announced its 16-man squad for the five-match ODI series against India . This squad lead by Shoaib Malik includes the fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar and another all-rounder Fawad Alam. Mohammad Hafeez and Khalid Latif who were in the squad against South Africa are dropped.Shoaib Akhtar has been named for the 16-man Pakistani squad for the 5-match ODI series against India. A superb form of batting was shown by him scoring 365 runs in 7 matches in which he batted only 6 innings. His average of 70 was really great. The inclusion of Murali Kartik, a 31 year old all at sudden became a great controversy in the India n team. To prove that this was not a bad decision, Murali Kartik has shown superb bowling against the Aussies in the final match. Kartik took 6 wickets giving just 27 runs in 10 overs. This is the third best performance in ODI by any Indian bowler and the best agaisnt the Aussies by an Indian in ODI.In the final match, at one stage the Aussies were 108 for 2 with a run rate of over 6 and seemed to be heading towards a big total.
