Virender Sehwag gets double hundred in ODI, becomes the highest runs scorer

After Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag has become the second player in ODI cricket to get a double hundred. However, Sehwag has become the highest scorer in an inning of ODI. He achieved this feat on the 4th ODI against West Indies at Indore on 8th December, 2011. Sehwag took 140 balls to make his double hundred smashing 6 sixes and 22 fours. India defeated West Indies by one wicket with 7 balls remaining. Thanks to Rohit Sharma who made the team win the match scoring 72 runs of 99 balls. India produced another splendid win against England by six wickets with 59 balls remaining. It was first the spinners who restricted English team to 220 and then the innings of Virat Kohli and Suresh Raina which made the win easy. Kohli made 86 and Raina made 80 runs in his innings. The first match if ICC Champions Trophy was between Sri Lanka and South Africa from group B. Sri Lanka showed superb display in rain-hit match and won it by 55 runs by Duckworth-Lewis method. South Africa winning the toss, invited Sri Lanka to bat first. After loosing Jayasuriya early, Dilshan and Sangakkara took Lankans to a flying start. Sangakkara got his 50 while Dilshan made his 100 and got out.
