2007-09-07 23:27:00 Indiana WR James Hardy was one of three college football successes this week. The Hoosiers' junior signed a pair of index cards care of the IU athletic department in 47 days. Hardy has been named Second Team All-Big Ten each of his first two seasons, accumulating over 1600 receiving yards and 20 touchdowns during that time. Coming into the season, he needed just ten more scores to tie the all-time school record. In the Hoosiers' opening game last weekend against Indiana State, Hardy hauled in 3 passes - 2 for touchdowns - and totaled 153 yards on the day. Also signing was standout DB Dwight Lowery from San Jose State. Recapping the week....
2007-08-31 21:34:00 It was a full week at the mailbox...Wake Forest star trio QB Riley Skinner, RB Micah Andrews, and K Sam Swank signed a pair of 8x10 photos I designed and sent to them care of WFU football. That took just six days. Skinner, last year's ACC Rookie of the Year who led the Demon Deacons to the ACC title, had already signed for me once. Andrews, meanwhile, who was a preseason all-ACC selection in 2006, rushed for over 250 yards and had 100 receiving yards in less than three games before tearing his ACL last fall. Swank, the MVP of last year's ACC championship game, was named a First Team All-American following the 2006 season, a campaign that saw him tie the NCAA record for most 50-yard field goals in a game (three, vs NCSU). (Click the image for a larger version.)And speaking of Micah Andrews, he later in the week returned a request of his own that I had sent back in July care of the WFU athletic department. That request took just 34 days, and as you can see, it apparently lost ... More About: Week
