The 2007 Red Sox are looking like a powerhouse. J.D. Drew wasted no time in making friends with Red Sox Nation, opening up with a homer on his first day in Boston.The Donnelly - Guillen feud? Still confusing.. apparently they were teammates in Anaheim in 2004, Guillen got traded, and for some reason there's bad blood. Today Guillen got angry after being struck out by Donnelly.. maybe Donnelly rubbed it in? Who knows.. but then Donnelly hits Kenji Johjima, and that made the whole situation worse.. ending with Donnelly being ejected from the game.So I guess JD Drew is a guy to keep an eye on, Donnelly will bring some fire to the team, and Beckett might just be the ace in the hole.. oh wait Dice-K tomorrow. That I will need to break out the MLB TV at work for.

Did I tell you that the Red Sox would win the most home games thisseason? DID I tell you that Josh Beckett was the best pitcher we had?Yes I did, and I also told you that Fenway Park is make both Lugo andPedrioa look even better than they already are. This is the start ofsomething special. They couldn't of started out any better.

Is Kobe Bryant a better basketball player than Michael Jordan ? Its a tough but good question... Many people who watched Jordan don't even like the NBA today, they say the rules have changed and that they travel and it doesnt get called in todays game. Well, I have stayed in tune every year from then til now, so take it from someone who watches both versions of the so called "NBA". Both players got a few championships under their belt. Though, only one of them had Shaq. Now if I had the big man waiting for my airball under the net, I too may be reluctant to take more outside shots knowing that theirs a very good chance shaq daddy is gonna rebound it and slam it home anways. But nowadays, Kobe doesn't have shaq, but he's playing the best ball he's every played. He averaged 40 points in the month of March. josh beckett starts tonight

Josh Beck ett starts tonight! Prepare to win our first ball game. Josh Beckett is a far better pitcher than Curt Schillling at this stage of his career. Beckett has far better velocity and has been working on his location and trusting Jason Varitek more behind the plate to call pitches. I too am an old timer sox fan, I have been watching them since I wore diapers but I have been saying for the last couple of years that Schilling is melting down along with long timer Tim Wakefield. At most Wake will get u 14 or 15 wins, and Schilling well...you never know what game he's gonna bring. Josh Beckett is a power pitcher and he is still in the prime of his career unlike Schill. I can almost guarantee a sox victory today, with Beckett on the mound, there is far more chance of success. Beckett will lead the sox with wins this year, and that my friend is a guarantee.

Celtics Draft

April 3, 2007Ok, Johnny, I've haven't been this excited for an NBA draft since the Celtic s missed out on Tim Duncan. Now, with the 2nd worst record in the NBA behind Memphis, will the Celtics get lucky this time? Please tell me yes. Now if the Celtics DO get the #1 pick, who will they draft? Assuming that both Greg Oden and Kevin Durant enter the draft, who is the better pick? Well, its a good question, many have their opinions but who will they pick? Greg Oden is a very good shot blocker and his presence on the court alone, changes the way they approach his team. He is quick for a big man and he had a monster game in the NCAA Championship with 25 points and 12 rebounds despite losing to Floirda. On the downside though, he's a freshman which means he's inexperienced and often he gets into foul trouble early and has to warm the bench. Not having a true center though, the Celtics could us his presence, on the court, not on the bench.Kevin Durant from Texas a power forward is also ...

Boston Red Sox opener

The Boston Red Sox season got off to a shaky start on Monday, April 2nd. Curt Schilling started for Boston and only lasted four innings allowing five runs. He entered the game with Boston up 1-0 but that lead quickly changed hands. Schilling had trouble throwing his fastball for strikes and had problems controlling his secondary pitches as well. It took him 89 pitches to get 12 outs.The offense wasn't very productive either, Ortiz scored the only run on an RBI single in the 1st inning scoring Kevin Youkilis. The Red Sox have a day off today and will take on Kansas City again tomorrow night at 8:10 pm. Josh Beckett will be starting for Boston and Odalis Perez will get the start for Kansas City.
