Female MMA Carina Damm Allegedly Wacking Up That Juice!
2008-05-19 17:14:00 A recent article was posted on Sherdog.com stating that female MMA fighter Carina Damm “has tested positive for Nandrolone, according to the California State Athletic Commission”.According to the story, her nanogram exceeded the allowance of 2ng/mL by 35.9 ng/mL. Damm’s use of steroids was apparent to some in the Female MMA industry including an upcoming opponent, Debi Purcell, who stated (according to sherdog) “it was obvious she was doing it [steroids], but I was just going to out-cardio and out-muscle her anyways,”…“I’ve been lifting for my whole life, everyday for I don’t know how many years. People have accused me of doing steroids because I have muscles, which isn’t fair. He underwent surgery on January 18, leaving his participation in the 2008 IFBB Mr. Olympia in serious jeopardy. So a month ago, he lobbied through the Bay Area Newspaper Group for exercise equipment to be donated to the Concord home for the elderly where he lived.Immediately, Ross and The Heritage, his residence, were inundated with phone calls. New workout machines would be arriving soon.Unfortunately, Ross won't be able to use them. He died April 30."It's sad," said Polly Olson, assistant administrator at The Heritage. IFBB Pro Chris Cormier Returns To The Stage In August
2008-05-06 17:17:00 IFBB Pro Chris Cormier announced on Pro Bodybuilding Weekly that he will be returning to the stage in August for a pair of contests, the IFBB Pro Bodybuilding Weekly Championships on August 9, 2008 and the IFBB Europa SuperShow on August 16, 2008.Cormier, one of the most successful competitors in IFBB history and a likely future Hall of Famer, last competed at the 2007 IFBB Atlantic City Pro, placing sixth. A week before IFBB Atlantic City, Cormier placed fourth at the IFBB Montreal Pro. Those competitions marked an improbable return to the stage, as just a year earlier Cormier lost the ability to walk while hospitalized with a severe back injury. 2008-05-05 17:18:00 The ringleader of one of the largest steroids trafficking networks in the nation said Thursday after he was sentenced to probation that he plans to meet with the NFL to share his expertise to help "clean up" football."I want to help them understand the loopholes, how I was able to help people beat the tests, and how prevalent steroid use is," Plano bodybuilder David Jacobs said after his sentencing hearing. He said he and the league had not discussed whether he would be paid for his expertise.NFL spokesman Greg Aiello confirmed Thursday that the league wants to talk to Mr. Jacobs.He said a league security representative contacted Mr. Jacobs' attorney, Hank Hockeimer, in November "about our interest in speaking to Jacobs at the appropriate time.
