Jimmy Rice 23 July 2007 Liverpool starlet Emiliano Insua helped Argentina win a record sixth Under-20 World Cup on Sunday. The 18-year-old left-back played 90 minutes as his country came from behind to beat the Czech Republic 2-1.The final was played at Canada's National Soccer Stadium in Toronto.Insua arrived at Anfield in January this year on an 18-month loan from Boca Juniors. Harry Kewell's dreams of landing the Asian Cup with Australia are over they crashed out of the competition to Japan on penalties in Vietnam. Kewell and Lucas Neill both missed from the spot as Japan triumphed 4-3 in the shoot-out to take their place in the semi-finals.Australia were reduced to ten men before the hour mark when Vince Grella was red carded for a late challenge.But they recovered well and, in stifling heat, took the lead with just 20 minutes left to play as Kewell crossed for John Aloisi to net, but the Japanese hit back immediately and levelled the scores just two minutes later.Kewell opted to take Australia's first kick in the penalty competition but saw his effort saved by Japanese keeper Yoshikatsu Kawaguchi.West Ham's Lucas Neill then also missed from the spot to leave Japan firmly in the driving seat and on their way to the last four of the competition."I'm very proud of the performance of the boys," Arnold said. Mark Platt in Hong Kong 22 July 2007 Liverpool Football Club have arrived safely in Hong Kong for the 2007 Barclays Asia Trophy amid scenes reminiscent of Beatlemania. Their British Airways flight from Heathrow touched down around 1.30pm local time and waiting for them at the airport were hundreds of Liverpool-crazy Asian supporters.Mass hysteria greeted the players as they made their way through security and posed for photographs.Banners in honour of Momo Sissoko and Fernando Torres were prominent while the highest-pitched screams were reserved for Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher and Rafa Benitez.A coach was then waiting to whisk the team off to the hotel which will be their base for the next six days.The Reds will train at the Mongkok Stadium later this afternoon, before attending a Barclays Reception this evening.
