Cross your toes for van Persie - Flamergas the best ever?
2008-03-12 09:53:00 One of the rays of sunshine from a underwhelming performance against Wigan was the return of Robin van Persie to the bench after an extended spell out with a spate of various injuries. While the Dutchman was far from his best when he came on for the last twenty or so minutes he showed enough to suggest that ... More About: Cross
Mathieu says don?t moan, but I just can?t help it
2008-03-11 08:44:00 There has been a lot of talk from the supporters, managers and players about the state of the pitch at the JJB Stadium and the affect it had on Arsenal’s performance against Wigan on Saturday. Anyone who saw the game would have noted that the pitch was an absolute shambles, making Arsenal’s passing game an almost ... More About: Mathieu
Wigan stalemate a frustrating yet fair result
2008-03-10 12:05:00 It was a bit of a bump back to reality for Arsenal yesterday as they were held to a 0-0 draw by Wigan at the JJB Stadium. Arsene Wenger’s side had the two best chances to win the match - the first through Emmanuel Adebayor in the very first minute and the other through Cesc Fabregas at ... Arsenal should be too strong for Wigan
2008-03-09 11:27:00 There’s not much going on today in the build-up to the Arsenal -Wigan game. The official website has some team news and that’s about it. I had previously thought that Denilson was unavailabel but as far as I can tell he’s fit to play tomorrow if Wenger selects him. I’m hoping Wenger slots him into the team on ... More About: Strong

Get excited, this is Arsenal?s best ever chance to win the Champions League
2008-03-06 09:04:00 I said in yesterday’s post that the buzz I was feeling following Arsenal ’s win over Milan was not even close to wearing off. Today I feel as if it’s only gotten stronger. 2008-03-05 10:55:00 What a night. Well, morning for me so I’ll rephrase that; what a morning. Away goal the key for Arsenal against Milan
2008-03-03 12:32:00 In just over a day’s time Arsenal could be returning from Milan with happy faces and a Champions League quarter-final place in the bag. They could also be returning back without one but I’d rather focus on the more positive side of things. Happy thoughts and all that. In the last couple of weeks Arsene Wenger ... More About: Goal
Bendtner goal the perfect tonic for Arsenal?s trip to Milan
2008-03-02 13:04:00 Arsenal hung onto top spot of the Premiership table after a testing 1-1 draw at home to Aston Villa overnight. Arsene Wenger’s side were less than a minute away from suffering a first defeat of the season at Emirates Stadium but substitute Nicklas Bendtner’s late, late goal stole a point from a Villa side that had previously taken the ... Arsenal have a chance. What? A chance. What? A chance!
2008-02-27 09:34:00 It’s a well-known fact amongst Arsenal supporters that Emmanuel Adebayor, the top scorer at the club this season with 21 goals, is still yet to score in the Champions League. However, despite making six appearances in the competition this season and failing to score in any of them - including the 0-0 first-leg draw against ... More About: Chance

2008-02-25 08:37:00 The exciting 2-2 draw between Arsenal and Birmingham will be remembered for all the wrong reasons after Arsenal striker Eduardo da Silva’s leg was horribly broken due to a shocking challenge by Birmingham defender Martin Taylor. 2008-02-24 23:41:00 Just a quick update on the Eduardo da Silva injury situation. Taylor?s tackle on Eduardo was a disgrace
2008-02-24 12:23:00 There is absolutely no point going into the footballing details of yesterday’s 2-2 draw between Arsenal and Birmingham because the only thing that mattered about the match was the injury suffered by Eduardo da Silva. Arsenal-Milan report and reaction
2008-02-22 07:15:00 Arsenal put in an excellent performance at home to AC Milan  in their Champions League first-leg clash but did not get the result they deserved after being held to a scoreless draw by the Italian club. The home side put a huge amount of pressure on the Champions League holders but were eventually frustrated after missing a number of good chances, the clearest of which a last-minute header from Emmanuel Adebayor that crashed against the crossbar. I watched this one at home and was thrilled to have company in the shape of my new roommate - Anita - who agreed to get up nice and early with me (5.30am in Australia) to add some moral support. Not exactly the biggest football fan in the world, Anita did happen to grow an affection towards Olympique Lyonnais - and Juninho in particular - during some time spent in France and to my astonishment knew a few of the players in the Arsenal side (”Isn’t that the German goalkeeper from the World Cup?”). Needless to say, I w... More About: Arsenal , Report , Reaction

2008-02-20 23:35:00 Arrrrgh! (*frustratingly bangs fist on lounge room table*). Arsenal absolutely deserved to take a lead out of that one but it was just one of those nights.
