Report: Bills Hosting Free Agent WR Bryant Johnson
2008-03-01 18:31:00
NFL Network's Adam Schefter, via Pro Football Talk and several other media outlets, is reporting that the Buffalo Bills will host free agent wide receiver Bryant Johnson (Arizona) today at One Bills Drive. Buried on the Cardinals' depth chart behind Pro Bowlers Anquan Boldin and Larry Fitzgerald, Johnson is considered one of the best receivers available on the market. This is his first visit, though the Chicago Bears have been rumored to show interest as well. The five-year veteran, along with other free agent wide receivers, are currently waiting on Bears receiver Bernard Berrian to sign a contract, setting the market for this year's free agent receivers. It's been reported, but not confirmed, that Johnson is looking for a contract that will pay him between five and six million dollars per year with $8 million in guarantees. Berrian's contract is expected to be a bit larger - an expectation that likely will manifest, considering he's expected to visit the philanthropic O...

Saturday Update: Bills Still Need a DT
2008-03-01 13:56:00
Update [2008-3-1 11:27:45 by Brian Galliford]: Pro Football Talk is now reporting that there is conflicting information on the Stroud-to-Buffalo situation. The details: The AP has a story which states that Stroud cut his Friday visit short once the Bills realized that Stroud wants a “significant raise.” Stroud has three years left on his current deal, with salaries of $5 million, $5.5 million, and $6 million. But a source with knowledge of the situation insists that Stroud is still in Buffalo, and the source says that reports that Stroud cut his visit short are “incorrect.” This is a Clemens-McNamee type of a conflict; someone is clearly right, and someone is clearly wrong. The plot thickens. Personally, I found it odd that Stroud would leave town so quickly; I'm tending to believe that the Bills are trying to talk his price down, but the teams are still in negotiation (again, that's just speculation on my part). Stay tuned... End Update Less than a full day after the Buf...

Bills Release Tripplett; Precursor to DT Trade?
2008-02-29 23:59:00
Tripplett spent two years on Buffalo's roster (BuffaloBills .com) Two years ago, rookie Buffalo Bills GM Marv Levy made his first big free agent splash by signing Colts DT Larry Tripplett to a five-year contract. Now, with Levy out of the building and the Bills looking to upgrade their interior defensive line, Tripplett has been released. Signed due to his experience in Buffalo's Cover-2 defense, Tripplett never developed into the playmaker that the Bills hoped he could be when he was signed in March of 2006. In two seasons as a Bill, Tripplett notched just 68 tackles, 3.5 sacks, and was at the crux of one of the worst run defenses in the entire NFL over the past two seasons. Despite those downfalls, Tripplett was a steady veteran presence and a leader, and his departure leaves two third-year players - John McCargo and Kyle Williams - as the only two Bills tackles that have received significant playing time. Precursor to Stroud Deal? Earlier today, reports surfaced tha...

Report: Bills sign Giants LB Kawika Mitchell
2008-02-29 17:39:00
Update [2008-2-29 13:23:1 by Brian Galliford]: Per KFFL, Adam Schefter is reporting that Mitchell 's deal is a 5-year contract worth $17.5 million. End Update Update [2008-2-29 12:9:14 by Brian Galliford]: The Mitchell signing is official, as it's being reported on the official site. End Update Following the news that Jaguars DT Marcus Stroud will visit the Buffalo Bills today comes a Buffalo News report that the Bills have agreed to terms with Giants LB Kawika Mitchell. The 28-year old Mitchell started all 16 games for the Super Bowl champion New York Giants and is expected, according to the report, to assume strong-side linebacker responsibilities in Buffalo. The report indicates that Mitchell will be in Buffalo later today to sign his deal. If the suggestion that he'll play strong side is true, it likely means that Angelo Crowell will shift back to the weak side, a position he manned while Takeo Spikes still donned a Bills uniform. Friday Update: Bills Quiet as Free Agency Begins
2008-02-29 13:39:00
Good morning, Buffalo Bills fans! If you're checking in this morning hoping to find shiny new toys for the Bills to play with next season, you're out of luck - there have not been any reports on signings or visits related to the Bills thus far. However, plenty went on last night that could effect the Bills in the very near future; here's a recap of those activities quickly: Omar Kelly, a Dolphins blogger for the Sun-Sentinel, believes that competition for Ernest Wilford's services will be between the Bills and the Dolphins. A couple of shaky rumors broke about both teams and Wilford last night - one "source" said the Dolphins would lock Wilford up today, while the other "source" said that Wilford would give the Jaguars a chance to match a Bills offer. None of it should be taken seriously (yet); just know that since the Jags are wooing Jerry Porter (and should officially announce their trade for Troy Williamson today) and the Dolphins are busy, the Bills have a real shot ...

Free Agency Open Thread: Midnight Edition
2008-02-29 05:10:00
[editor's note, by Brian Galliford] Use this thread to post rumors that you see, as John says, but please also note that WABillsFan is working hard (or hardly working) to keep us updated into the wee hours of the morning as well. Get pumped, Bills fans! End Note When the clock strikes midnight in less then an hour the 2008 NFL free agency period officially begins.  At that point all bets are off.  Rumors are already starting to circulate around the net (could you imagine free agency without the internet?  How depressing!!). We'll be here all night updating all the news related to the Buffalo Bills.  If you hear of anything - even rumors - make sure you add it to the open thread. To start it off here is some news/rumors that either directly or indirectly relate to the Bills that are making their way around the world wide web this Thursday evening: The Tampa Tribune is reporting that the Bucs has "great interest in free agent WR D.J. Hackett. The Washin...

Bills Fine Tune Roster, Prepare for Free Agency
2008-02-28 23:45:00
Leonhard to hit free agency (BuffaloBills.com) The Buffalo Bills on Thursday continued to tweak their roster in preparation for the opening of the free agent signing period. The team released veteran cornerback Kiwaukee Thomas, extended offers to several young free agents, and allowed two others to hit free agency. The release of Thomas isn't entirely unexpected. After being placed on Injured Reserve last year, Thomas watched as players like Jabari Greer and even Ashton Youboty stepped into the lineup and made plays in his absence. With the team likely to add at least one corner this off-season - whether it be a re-signing of veteran Jason Webster, drafting a rookie, or both - Thomas was looking at a deep depth chart next season. His release all but ensures that the Bills will add a player at the position this off-season. According to a report from WGR 550, the Bills also extended tender offers to CB Dustin Fox, DT Corey Mace, WR Scott Mayle and TE Tim Massaquoi. Of t...

Bills Free Agent To Do List: Open Thread
2008-02-28 16:43:00
Bills need to aim for a wideout, like Wilford, first (WireImage) With the free agency period set to begin in less than 14 hours (!!!), it's time for us to make known our final predictions/free agency game plans for the Buffalo Bills. I know y'all have opinions on how we should approach this off-season; now is the time to make those opinions known. We've looked at several free agents up close, we're aware of the depth of several key positions in this year's draft thanks to the Combine, and we know exactly what the Bills need. I encourage all of you to both critique my predictions/plans as well as leave your own. Here's how I'd approach the next month if I were GM (er... COO) of the Bills. 1. Sign Ernest Wilford. Clearly, Buffalo's biggest (offensive) need is at wide receiver, and clearly, the team can't take the risk of expecting a rookie to fill those needs. A veteran is needed, and in your humble narrator's opinion, Wilford is easily the best option. At thi...

Bills Release Four as Free Agency Looms
2008-02-27 22:52:00
A-Train rolls out of Buffalo (BuffaloBills .com) The Buffalo Bills on Wednesday released four veteran players, all of whom had questionable futures with the team. Running back Anthony Thomas, linebacker Coy Wire, cornerback Jerametrius Butler and reserve guard Aaron Merz were all let go as the team prepares for the start of the free agent signing period, which begins at the stroke of midnight tomorrow. The release of Wire has the biggest immediate impact on the team, as the backup linebacker was a long-time special teams ace under Bobby April, and served as the unit's co-captain last season. His departure (which was due to his failing a team physical after off-season neck surgery) enhances the need to retain one or two of its top special teams free agents (WR Sam Aiken, LB Josh Stamer, LB Mario Haggan, TE Ryan Neufeld). The writing was on the wall for Thomas, who after being placed on IR watched the little-known Fred Jackson make a big impact in Buffalo's offense late in...

Buffalo Rumblings Mock Draft, V1.5
2008-02-27 18:57:00
Way back on February 9, I, your humble narrator, attempted to prognosticate the NFL Draft a full two and a half months before it took place - not just for our beloved Buffalo Bills, but the whole kit and caboodle. Since that date, however, the NFL Combine has shaken up draft boards, and on a more community-related note, we've added three more authors. With the free agent signing period set to start at the stroke of midnight tomorrow night (or Friday morning, however you'd like to view it), it made sense for us to put together one last mock draft before player movement changes the entire outlook of the draft - just so we can say "man, were we off". So, over the past few days, Kurupt, sireric, jri111 and myself have been throwing together a two-round mock. The results weren't perfect, in our estimation, but they're certainly worth considering. Below is our Round One results; Round Two is beyond the jump for the purposes of preserving front-page space. We urge you to ask ques...

Cornerbacks Shine in Combine Finale
2008-02-27 13:47:00
McKelvin, others cement first-round status (AP Photo) The NFL Scouting Combine closed up shop yesterday, and for the final time ever at the RCA Dome in Indianapolis, potential NFL defensive backs ran drills and sprints on its turf. For reports on the previous three days of the 2008 Combine, click through to the following links: TE/OL :: WR/QB/RB :: DL/LB Many argue that the Buffalo Bills are in need of a cornerback in this year's draft, while others maintain that a veteran addition will bolster the team's depth, while still others believe that with the emergence of Jabari Greer, the position has settled itself. What is clear is that if the Bills decide that a cornerback might be a first-round target, there are four prospects who are proving their first-round worth. Cornerbacks It was a great day for arguably the top two corners on the board, Leodis McKelvin and Mike Jenkins. The Troy alum (McKelvin) ran a 4.38 40, and that time was matched by South Florida's Jenkins....

Potential Bills Free Agent: OL Nat Dorsey
2008-02-26 21:03:00
Dorsey's versatility is appealing (Photo Source) With the free agent signing period opening in about 57 hours, we are about to wrap up our potential Buffalo Bills free agent series. Over the past three weeks, we've taken a look at nearly twenty free agents (or, to be more accurate, then free agents) that would look good in red, white and blue. Cleveland offensive lineman wraps up that series today. We can talk until we're bored to tears about how the Bills need help at several starting positions, but offensive line depth is a must-have for the Bills this off-season as well. The Bills were very fortunate that their starting offensive line stayed healthy throughout the 2007 season, and to expect that type of health from their big men once again is unrealistic. The Bills look for versatility in their reserve linemen, which makes a player like Dorsey - able to play both guard and tackle - a coveted commodity. Dawgs By Nature's Take Though Dorsey is just one example of ...

Combine Thoughts: DT, LB, a dash of DE
2008-02-26 14:28:00
Laws moving quickly up draft boards (Photo Credit) With the Denver Broncos the lead pursuant of DT Shaun Rogers via the trade route, the Buffalo Bills - who are rumored to be interested in the veteran - may need to begin developing a Plan B option at the defensive tackle position. With very little available via free agency, if the Bills are going to address the position, it will very likely be through the draft. Luckily, we got to see defensive tackles (and ends, and linebackers) work out at the Combine yesterday; here's how they fared. (Note: keep your fingers crossed for a Rogers trade.) Defensive Tackles No one was more impressive, to your humble narrator at least, than Notre Dame's Trevor Laws. Weighing in at 304 pounds, Laws was still able to run a 5.08 40, with unofficial times as low as 4.97. He also threw up 35 reps of 225 pounds and vertically jumped 30.5 inches. Couple his impressive workout with his unbelievable college production, and Laws is looking lik...

Losman Headlining Trade Rumors in Buffalo
2008-02-26 00:11:00
Losman has four potential suitors (Buffalo Bills.com) When it was first reported in early January that Buffalo Bills QB J.P. Losman was seeking a trade, many NFL experts predicted that it would be difficult for the Bills to trade their "disgruntled" quarterback. Now, just before the start of free agency - and the trading period - reports are surfacing that four teams are speaking with the Bills about the young veteran signal-caller. Mike Florio at Pro Football Talk names the Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins as two teams talking to the Bills about Losman. DraftDaddy.com adds the Atlanta Falcons and San Francisco 49ers to that list. Considering the fact that this year's free agent quarterbacks constitute a weak class, coupled with a question mark-laden rookie class, a young vet like Losman - a player who has game experience - has to be tempting to some teams. That's especially true now that Rex Grossman is off the market. I've mentioned the Falcons as a possible su...

Financial Commitment to Top Picks Handcuffs Teams
2008-02-25 19:39:00
[editor's note, by Brian Galliford] MARVelous' latest diary takes a look at some comments made by Bill Polian in regards to the crippling effects of rookie salaries. Great work, Marv. End Note A story I saw today with quotes from Bill Polian, GM of the Colts (and formerly of the Bills), gives insight into a feeling I have had on the NFL draft since the late '90s and is now getting ridiculous. That is, that the financial commitment of top 10 picks, especially top 5, is so severe it makes it real difficult for struggling teams to turn their franchises around.  Last year, JaMarcus Russell, received $29 million in guaranteed money - before he ever took a snap! Salaries Crippling Poor Teams Now, some will say, "MARVelous, why are you sitting there complaining about the salaries, because everyone in the NFL is making plenty of money?" Well, a team that drafts in the top 5 has enormous pressure in selecting a player that will pan out, and then gets the gift of giving him what...

Potential Bills Free Agent: LB Chaun Thompson

Thompson: bust or a misused talent? (ViewImages) We'll take a break from our look at the rookie class (don't worry, we'll get back to that later today) to continue breaking down available free agents that could potentially be good fits in a Buffalo Bills uniform. With the Bills possibly looking to upgrade depth at outside linebacker, y'all asked me to look into Browns free agent LB Chaun Thompson. Thompson, who was a surprise second-round draft pick of the Browns in the Butch Davis era, has failed to meet his lofty draft status with solid play. Though he's had his moments of athletic brilliance, Thompson has not been able to consistently crack the lineup for the Browns. Some feel that he's been playing out of position in Cleveland's 3-4 defense; others believe that he just doesn't have the football smarts to get it done at the NFL level. Dawgs By Nature's Take I asked Chris Pokorny, head blogger at Dawgs By Nature, a few questions about what he's seen out of T...

Combine Thoughts: WR, FB, a dash of QB/RB
2008-02-24 21:38:00
Sweed impressive in Combine workouts (ViewImages) The Buffalo Bills need a wide receiver. Dozens of NFL-hopeful wideouts worked out this afternoon in Indianapolis at the NFL Combine. Naturally, these eyes were glued to the NFL Network broadcast of the workouts, and naturally, there were several (big) wide receivers who caught my eye. One other position the Bills may address in the draft is fullback, and there were a couple of nice performances there as well. Quarterbacks and running backs worked out as well; the Bills are pretty well set at those positions, clearly, but there was some movement at those positions as well. Wide Receivers I was impressed with the work of Texas wideout Limas Sweed, who despite still recovering from a serious wrist injury did the vast majority of receiver workouts. At nearly 6'4", Sweed ran a 4.46-second 40-yard dash and looked like a smooth, explosive athlete. Coupled with the fact that Malcolm Kelly (Oklahoma) did not work out, Sweed ma...

Combine Thoughts: OL, TE, a dash of DL
2008-02-23 20:46:00
Keller steals the show in TE workouts (Ben Drinkut, Purdue Exponent) Why do I love college? Well, the education is nice, and the lifestyle is nicer, but I love college because I get the NFL Network here. I've tuned in to the draft prospect workouts all morning - keeping an eye on players that y'all mention frequently as potential fits for our Buffalo Bills - and for the most part, I haven't been disappointed. Today, O-Linemen and Tight Ends were working out, while defensive linemen and linebackers were weighing in. The quick overview: I didn't pay a whole lot of attention to the linemen because, well, the Bills are pretty much set up front. You're going to hear a lot about the tremendous athleticism of this group of tight ends; these guys are flat-out freaks of nature. Finally, there are a couple of interesting tidbits from D-Line weigh-ins that you won't want to miss... O-Line This, folks, was the Jake Long show. The Michigan tackle (who lifted well yesterday)...

Potential Bills Free Agent: DT Tommy Kelly
2008-02-23 14:38:00
Can Kelly fill Buffalo's hole at DT? (Raiders.com) Over the past couple of days, we've been taking a look at how the Buffalo Bills can best address the defensive tackle position despite this year's free agent class at the position leaving much to be desired. We've looked at alternatives, Plan B free agents, and perhaps most importantly, the rookies. The verdict? With so little available via free agency, the Bills will almost certainly be exploring the trade and draft routes to fill the need at the position. There is still one free agent name, however, that's mentioned frequently in Bills fan circles that needs to be discussed. That man is Oakland's Tommy Kelly. Coming off of a torn ACL that ended his 2007 season, Kelly is scheduled to hit free agency when it begins late next week. Though there has been some indication that he'll re-up in Oakland, Kelly remains the best free agent tackle currently on the open market. Silver and Black Pride's Take Most of us on...

Potential Bills Free Agent: QB Cleo Lemon
2008-02-22 20:30:00
Is Lemon a Plan B at QB? (NFL.com) It might be the most-discussed decision facing the Buffalo Bills this off-season: should the club trade its backup quarterback, J.P. Losman? After Losman publicly expressed his desire to be dealt, potential trade scenarios popped up left and right. The consensus at this point, however, is that it's likely that Losman will have to play out his contract as Trent Edwards' backup next season. Still, there should be a contingency plan in the event that an irresistible offer surfaces for Losman. One highly speculated name that's brought up frequently as a potential replacement for Losman is the Dolphins' Cleo Lemon . The first time I read that name as a potential Bill, the involuntary twitch caused an unfortunate coffee spill. But who am I, as a Bills fan, to make public claims that Lemon would be the worst signing in Bills history? "We'd need a Dolphin fan to do that," I said to myself (not an uncommon occurrence). And it just so happ...

Defensive tackles in the 2008 draft
2008-02-22 13:08:00
[editor's note, by Brian Galliford] Author sireric, in continuing our search for the next star at defensive tackle for the Buffalo Bills, takes a look at the top names available in the draft. With the free agent pool thinning tremendously at the position, get used to these names - one of them could be in a Bills uniform in a couple of months. End Note Now that arguably the best free agent DT is off the market, the question that is begging to be asked is, "What now?" Where do the Bills turn for the DT that they need? Looking at the list of free agents, it is clear that the best answer is the draft. This may prove more difficult than it seems however; the two best DTs in the draft are most likely going to be gone by the time the Bills pick at #11. Here is a list of arguably the top ten DTs in the draft. 1- Sedrick Ellis, USC - at 6-1 and just over 300 pounds Ellis is quickly becoming the top DT. Teams running a 4-3 defense are falling in love with this guy. 2- Glenn Dorsey, LSU -...

Potential Bills Free Agent: DT Randy Starks, Part II
2008-02-21 19:29:00
Titans fans have consensus on Starks (ViewImages) In the seemingly never-ending search for help at defensive tackle, many Buffalo Bills fans - including yours truly - wondered aloud whether 24-year-old Titan Randy Starks could be the answer to Buffalo's run game woes. Then, last week, Jimmy from Music City Miracles set the record straight, sharing with us his very negative view on Starks' play at DT last season. Still, we pressed on, believing that Starks' potential and youth would make him a good signing. We asked for a second opinion. So we went and got one. We're pleased to be joined this afternoon by Drexel Perry, one of a team of bloggers at Total Titans, an excellent (and frequently updated) source for Titans news and fan opinions. I did not change anything, folks - I asked Perry the same exact questions as I asked Jimmy for consistency purposes. The end results? Original prognosis confirmed. Obviously, Albert Haynesworth is getting all of the attention ...

Defensive Tackle: A Plan B in Free Agency?
2008-02-21 16:32:00
[editor's note, by Brian Galliford] Continuing our defensive tackle discussions, author jri111 takes a (very) in-depth look at some remaining tackle options that, come next week, could entice our Buffalo Bills. Take it away, John... End Note With the surprise announcement coming out of Green Bay that the Packers placed the franchise tag on talented defensive tackle Corey Williams, I thought it would be prudent to look at other free agent options at the position.  Like many Bills fans, I had my sights set on Williams as the missing link to their defensive tackle rotation.  However, with Williams essentially off the market (unless the Bills are willing to work out a trade with Green Bay for him - unlikely), the Bills may not like many of the remaining choices.  Below is a list of all the defensive tackles that were set to become unrestricted free agents on February 29, 2008.  Some have already signed extensions with their current teams, some have decided to reti...

With DT pool thinning, where can Buffalo turn?
2008-02-21 04:16:00
Will McCargo get a new running mate? (Buffalo Bills.com) Tennessee has franchised Albert Haynesworth. The Packers followed suit this evening, tagging Corey Williams. With the Buffalo Bills searching for help at defensive tackle - and with the two "big names" off of the market - where can the Bills turn to find a run-stuffing complement to their current DT corps? There are a few avenues to explore - so I'll lay them out on the line, and y'all can decide what the best route to take is. Here we go: 1. Stick to Free Agency: Even with Haynesworth and Williams off the market, there are still some intriguing names to ponder. Titan Randy Starks is the most commonly referenced name, and even though he's drawn the ire of some Titan fans, he's still young and in the right environment could excel. There are also some intriguing veteran names (Atlanta's Rod Coleman, Seattle's Chuck Darby, and New Orleans' Brian Young are examples) that could give the Bills time to develop th...

What could Buffalo expect from a rookie WR?
2008-02-20 19:57:00
Moulds took time to develop (FOX Sports) [editor's note, by Brian Galliford] Author sireric takes a look at some recent Pro Bowl wideouts to try to figure out if the Buffalo Bills can reliably count on a rookie receiver this season. His argument is convincing, and one I couldn't have made more convincing myself. End Note Can you expect a wide receiver to give solid production in his rookie year? And what would you consider solid production for that matter?  For the sake of argument I will say that a solid season (statistically) for a wide receiver will be: 50+ catches, 750+ yards, and 3 or more touchdowns.  Those aren't superstar type numbers, but they do represent a solid season, particularly for a rookie. It has been my argument that taking a receiver in the draft, anywhere, not just the first round, and expecting that player to give you a solid season, similar to the one I described above, is foolish. While some agree with me, others argue that given time, ...

Potential Bills Free Agent: WR Bernard Berrian
2008-02-20 15:29:00
Is Berrian worth the contract he'll likely get? (Bill Smith, ChicagoBears.com) In the never-ending search for wide receiver help for the Buffalo Bills , certain qualities seem to dominate the search for receiver talent. Size, toughness, being a possession and red zone threat, and yards-after-catch potential are the most common traits. The thought is that with Lee Evans and Roscoe Parrish on board - two very fast players - a possession receiver with the ability to score in the red zone would be the perfect complement. Is it so crazy to think, however, that another deep threat would be less effective in opening up Buffalo's offense? Ever since a break-out 2006 season in which his Bears made a Super Bowl run, wide receiver Bernard Berrian has been one of the hottest names on the market. Potentially the most explosive receiver available this off-season (assuming Randy Moss stays in New England), Berrian is a highly-sought-after commodity. Even though the Bears may franchis...

Potential Bills Free Agent: LB Lance Briggs
2008-02-19 23:40:00
Briggs seems poised to re-sign with the Bears (Photo Source) It's a name that has enticed Buffalo Bills fans for over a calendar year. For a Bills team that is in need of playmakers wherever they can find them, fans have continually pleaded the organization to make a move for this linebacker. He has experience in the Cover-2, he's been a key cog on a team that made a trip to the Super Bowl, and he's once again the elite name amongst free agent linebackers. I speak, of course, of the Chicago Bears' Lance Briggs. The 27-year old veteran has enjoyed four straight 100+ tackles with the Bears, and has developed into a star on one of the quickest, most menacing defenses in the league (up until last season, at least). But just how available is Briggs? When a player this elite becomes available, demand is high. What would it take to get Briggs into a Bills uniform - and is it even a good decision to do that? Potential Bills Free Agent: CB Brian Kelly

Can Kelly still stay healthy, produce at age 32? (Toni L. Sandys, SPTimes.com) If the Buffalo Bills are looking to upgrade the cornerback position via free agency, what better team to raid than the Tampa Bay Buccaneers? The Bills, who run a version of the Tampa-2 defense made famous by current Bucs defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin (with some help from Tony Dungy), are in need of a corner - and a former Buccaneer with ten years of experience in the Tampa-2 is available for hire. Even though Brian Kelly has only played in 13 games over the last two seasons, his experience in this defense could make him a valuable addition to a Bills secondary that is short on experience. Kelly has enjoyed a productive career, notching 22 interceptions and four sacks playing alongside Ronde Barber, and recently opted out of the final year of his Bucs deal, which would have paid him $3.2 million in 2008. Injury concerns aside, Kelly may be a "quick fix" in Buffalo's secondary - and his exp...
