Lakers Completely Dominate the Utah Jazz
2007-12-31 01:43:00 Wow!! The Lakers were playing like a championship caliber team absolutely destroying the Utah Jazz with a 30 lead throughout most of the game. Kobe Bryant and company were just firing on all cylinders with everyone contributing and playing solid defense. The most impressive part about the Lakers 123-109 rout of the Utah Jazz was their defense which shut down both of Utah's superstars Carlos Boozer and Deron Williams keeping them to 26 points combined on 9 of 24 shooting from the floor. All of the Lakers starters and even Jordan Farmar(14 points) in 25 minutes off the bench scored in double figures. Kobe lead the way as usual with 31 points followed by Lamar Odom with 17, Trevor Ariza with 12, Derek Fisher with 10 and Andrew Bynum finished with 10.It is becoming more and more obvious that the Los Angeles Lakers were a force to be rekond with, the biggest indication would be the fact that the Lakers are favored by 3 points against the 25-3 Boston Celtics in LA on Sunday, Dec. 30th.It i... The Phoenix Suns Got Burnt!
2007-12-26 02:25:00 I think Trevor Ariza's dunk over Grant Hill said it all (he also had 14 points and 7 rebounds, oh, and the dunk of the year!), the Lakers didn't dominate the Phoenix Suns, but they definitely looked like the better team on Christmas Day at the Staples Center. After watching the Lakers handle the team that kicked them around in the playoffs last year it has become apparent that Kobe Bryant, Lamar Odom and Andrew Bynum are quickly turning into one of the NBA's best trios with Kobe playing like Kobe (and not having to score 50 to win), Lamar actually playing up to his potential and Andrew Bynum contributing the way the Lakers had hoped he would. Before these two squared off on Christmas Day, the Suns had been somewhat of an achilles heel for the Lakers, knocking them out of the playoffs two straight seasons and just flat out being the better team each time they played each other, but not this year (Lakers are 2-0 against the Suns this season), things are definitely changing in Lakerla... Kwame Brown to Practice On Monday
2007-12-24 07:09:00 Can't say that any Lakers fan would be really ecstatic to hear this, but Kwame "Butterfingers" Brown will be back from his ankle/knee injury that kept him out of 17 games this season. He should be ready to practice on Monday and who knows maybe he will be even in the lineup for the Christmas Day match up against the Phoenix Suns (yeah right). Kwame coming back will come just at the right time as Chris Mihm has missed the last three games which forced an undersized Ronny Turiaf to backup Bynum at the center position. Not great addition to an already good Lakers squad, but at least it will give some relief for Andrew Bynum who is with out a doubt the new starting center for years to come for the Los Angeles Lakers.OnToplist.com ranking: Best blogs on sports More About: Practice , Kwame Brown
Kobe Bryant's Old Wish List
2007-12-24 06:39:00 Thank God it didn't happen, but if Kobe Bryant were to have been traded, like he wanted to be, he would have approved trades to these four teams: New York Knicks, Phoenix Suns, Chicago Bulls or Dallas Mavericks.Obviously nothing happened and I am sure all parties involved except for maybe the Knicks and Bulls were grateful, but it is interesting to see what was on number 24's mind when all this was going down in the off season.Check out the difference in records between the teams mentioned:Dallas Mavericks 19-9: not bad, but some say they are underachieving and need a drastic change to get to the championship level; Jason Kidd is probably on their radarPhoenix Suns 19-8: 1st place in the Pacific division right above the Lakers and looking impressive with Grant Hill on the squad and Steve Nash playing at MVP level yet againChicago Bulls 9-16: last place in the Central division, a complete meltdown from last season, not dealing for Kobe may have been a huge mistake and quite possibl... Kwame Brown, Vladirmir Radmanovic and Jordan Farmar for Jason Kidd
2007-12-24 06:22:00 Trade talks galore as usual heading toward the February NBA trade deadline, but biggest of all the trade rumors is where superstar Jason Kidd of the New Jersey Nets is going to land. I have touched on this subject Jason Kidd a few times with certain scenarios, but from the news from Lakerland has three Lakers that they would offer in return for the all-star point guard. The three Lakers that reportedly will be involved in deal for Jason Kidd are Kwame Brown (good riddance), Vladimir Radmanovic (not a huge loss) and up and coming point guard Jordan Farmar. There will also be some draft picks sent New Jersey's way if they accept the offer, this is all according to New York Post sports writer Peter Vecsey. This doesn't look like a bad deal, I don't want to see Jordan Farmar go because he is good player who is only getting better with more time on the floor, but as for the other two, Radmanovic is a good outside shooter but too streaky, Kwame Brown, well if you are a Lakers fan I don'...
Kobe Bryant Makes History Again Being the Youngest to Ever Score 20,000 Poi
2007-12-23 23:37:00 God I love those old school jerseys! I hope they stick with them from now on!Anyways, it looks like Kobe Bryant has made NBA history once again becoming the youngest player in history to score 20,000 points passing NBA legend Wilt Chamberlain as he scored 39 points at Madison Square Garden in a 95-90 victory over the New York Knicks on Sunday. Kobe was 29 years and 122 days old, the original record by Chamberlain was 29 years and 134 days old.Kobe has always said that Madison Square Garden is one favorite places to play (much like Michael Jordan), so it was fitting for him to reach this milestone at the Garden. Kobe ended his historic night with a very impressive outing with 11 rebounds, 8 assists and as I said before 39 points improving the Lakers record to 17-10 keeping the Lakers in 2nd place in the Pacific division and tied for 5th in the Western Conference with the New Orleans Hornets.KOBE BRYANT MAKING NBA HISTORY!OnToplist.com ranking: Best blogs on sports More About: History , Score
Andrew Bynum Has Career Night Against the 76ers
2007-12-23 23:25:00 Friday night the Lakers center Andrew Bynum had his best night as pro in a win against the 76ers where he put up 24 points on 10 of 11 shooting to go along with 11 rebounds in 36 minutes on the floor. It is becoming abundantly clear that Andrew Bynum is turning into a dominant center in the NBA, he is not at the level of say the Orlando Magic's Dwight Howard or the Houston Rockets' Yao Ming, but he is showing improvement with every game it would be long that he with be up there with the cream of the crop of the monsters in the middle.Lead by Bynum, the Lakers went on to beat the 76ers 106-101 to improve to 15-10 and continue to move up the ranks amongst the NBA's elite teams.OnToplist.com ranking: Best blogs on sports More About: Night , Career
LeBron James 1, Kobe Bryant 0
2007-12-21 05:33:00 In their first battle of the year, LeBron James and his Cleveland Cavaliers came out on top beating Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers 94-90.First of all, this game was not as close as the score dictates. Yes, LeBron James had a King James-like night with 33 points, 10 rebounds and he did shut down Kobe when they were guarding each other, but I would definitely say this game was a fluke for the Cavs.I know this sounds EXTREMELY bias coming from a Lakers fan, but if you actually watched the game you would know that the last foul by Derek Fisher on Cavs point guard Daniel Gibson was BS! The call was on a loose ball that was in the air and D-Fish had both hands on the ball (which gives him possession) and Daniel Gibson runs into him and falls on the floor (like a little bitch!), gets the foul and goes to the line to shoot two with 5 seconds left in the fourth quarter. BS!!!!LeBron James may have out played Kobe Bryant (only 21 points on 8 of 22 shooting), but the Cavs by no means d... More About: Lebron James
Stick With Youth or Go After Jason Kidd?
2007-12-20 01:16:00 If you haven't heard, New Jersey Nets all-star point guard Jason Kidd is on his way out of New Jersey, but the real question is where will he land. A couple of weeks ago is was almost certain that the triple-double king would be on his way back to the Dallas Mavericks where he started his career, but that hasn't happened and now the Lakers are looking to be in the mix yet another for the veteran point guard.Last season Kidd was almost sent to the Lakers in a trade for Andrew Bynum and Lamar Odom, which looked like a decent deal, but the Lakers front office thought otherwise as they didn't want to part ways with the youngster in the middle and the Nets wouldn't do a deal unless the Lakers gave him up (smart move on both sides). Now, if you haven't noticed, the Lakers have quite a few players with some value and potential to be great players in this league like Sasha Vujacic, Jordan Farmar, Luke Walton and Jarvis Crittenton (and Kwame Brown, but only because of his expiring contra... Sasha Was Smokin' in Chicago
2007-12-19 04:59:00 I think Kobe Bryant is finally convinced that he is much better off with the Los Angeles Lakers after they just completely dominated the Chicago Bulls in Chicago and looked more like a contender more and more with every win.It was just no contest for the Lakers on Tuesday as they were just clicking both offensively and defensively with good games from all the starters especially Lamar Odom with 17 points and 16 rebounds and Andrew Bynum's (new career high in minutes played with 40+) 12 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks. The most impressive of all the role players for the Lakers against the Chicago Bulls was Sasha Vujacic who continues to improve and be a consistent offensive force off the bench; he lit up the Bulls for 19 points shooting 6 of 10 from the floor and 2 for 3 from beyond the arc. It's about time, but at least it is at the right time! The top performers for the Bulls were Luol Deng who showed his offensive skills scoring 26 points and Kirk Hinrich who added 17 points, but...
Battle of Los Angeles
2007-12-18 04:50:00 It's official! The best team in Los Angeles is still the "REAL" NBA franchise in LA, the Los Angeles Lakers. Kobe Bryant and the boys were dialed in on Sunday at the Staples Center, dominating the lowly Clippers all game long.Six blocked shots, 9 rebounds and 14 points for the big kid in the middle Andrew Bynum, with every game this kid plays he make improvements somewhere in his game and 6 blocks shows that the boy can play D!The along with Bynum and Kobe having good games, the Lakers as a whole were just on fire shooting the basketball with 53% shooting percentage and 41% percent from behind the arc!Corey Maggette had a decent game with 27 points, 7 boards, 6 steals and Chris Kaman had a good night as well with 18 points and 16 boards (horrible shooting night though 6 for 19), but they couldn't out play the best player in the NBA in Kobe Bryant. Number 24 came out firing in this one, kind of looking like he wanted to prove something and he did not disappoint. Kobe ended the gam... More About: Battle
Baron Davis Ices the Lakers
2007-12-16 06:28:00 We all know that Golden State Warriors point guard Baron Davis is the real deal, he proved that he is one of the best point guards in the league leading his team past the Dallas Mavericks in what was quite possibly the biggest upset in NBA playoffs history in the first round last season, but could Kobe Bryant and company slow down the Warriors high powered offense for the second time this season?Nah! Not this time. The Lakers were playing great team ball all game to start the game with a 28-17 lead at the end of the first quarter, but were outscored in every quarter afterward lead by the Warriors big four in Stephen Jackson, Baron Davis, Monte Ellis and Al Harrington. All four of these gifted scorers combining for 83 points of the Warriors' offense which lead to a 108-106 win for the Golden boys.Baron Davis was out of control in the fourth, scoring 8 of his 22 points in the last three minutes including the game winner (3 pointer) in dramatic fashion with only 16 seconds left in Der...
No Parker, No Duncan, No Problem for the Lakers!
2007-12-14 07:14:00 Not the way any team would want to beat the the San Antonio Spurs without their two best players in Tim Duncan and Tony Parker , but Kobe and company will take it!The Lakers dominated all aspects of this game beating the Spurs both offensively and putting a new found defensive pressure on the Spurs that kept the defending NBA champs out most of the game. The Spurs lead after three quarters, but the Lakers managed to just overpower the Duncan-less Spurs with an efficient offensive effort by the entire Lakers squad which was lead once again by Kobe Bryant with 30 points.Andrew Bynum looked good in this one, at least until he was ejected in the 3rd quarter for getting into it with Fabrico Oberto, but in the time he was on the floor he managed to grab 11 boards, but only 6 points. As for the rest of the boys in purple and gold, Lamar Odom added 15 points and the bench dropped 37 to take the win 102-97 and improve to 13-8 on the season.NEXT MATCH UP: Los Angeles Lakers at Golden State Warr... Kobe Bryant Says He is Happy with the Lakers
2007-12-14 05:34:00 Breathe it in Lakers fans, Kobe Bryant has finally expressed positive feelings towards the Lakers franchise. "I'm happy to be here", believe it or not, these were Kobe Bryant's words about playing for the Los Angeles Lakers! After a surprising good start to the season with a 12-8 record, an improving and center in Andrew Bynum and the best bench in the NBA (at least in scoring), Kobe Bryant has decided that he is here to stay (at least for the time being). Before the game against the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday night, Kobe was quoted as saying:"My guys and I have such a tight bond. Business and basketball can cloud things, but when you get here in your element and you're around your teammates having a good time with them and thinking about them and not about the business of the game, that's when it becomes fun"It is music to my ears and thank God he is saying this only 16 games into the season, so if Kobe and the Lakers keep the same positive attitude for the rest of the season,... Best Big Three in the NBA?
2007-12-12 04:50:00 This year in the NBA has showcased some of the best three player tandems in recent memory, from Steve Nash, Amare Stoudemire and Leandro Barbosa to Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen, the NBA has seen some phenomenal team play this year and it keeps getting better as the season progresses. If you notice, the teams with these three player tandems are absolutely dominating the league. Take the Boston Celtics for instance, just between the trio of KG, Pierce and Allen they are putting up 58 points a night and sitting at the top of the Eastern Conference with the best record in the league at 17-2 (undefeated at home 10-0). Pretty impressive for a team that has been terrible since Bird retired.Another tandem tearing up the league is the most surprising one, lead by big man and MVP canidate Dwight Howard. The Orlando Magic have been just destroying teams in the Eastern Conference, they have had trouble with the heavyweights in the West (lost to both Phoenix and San Antonio), but they...
Jason Kidd Back to the Dallas Mavericks?
2007-12-11 06:23:00 Just speculation and rumors once again, but word on the wire is that all-star point guard Jason Kidd is heading back to the place where he started his career in Dallas . Reportedly the deal would include shooting guard sixth man Jerry Stackhouse, Devin Harris and either some picks or a role player/expiring contract. The Lakers were one of the other teams in the running for the almost automatic triple-double point guard, but with not much to offer the New Jersey Nets (that the Lakers would part ways with), Jason Kidd probably will not land in LA unfortunately, but you never know! The Cleveland Cavaliers have also been mentioned as a possible team to go after Kidd and with the way their season is going they need him more than ever, but like the Lakers, the Cavs don't have much to offer either, so I would expect him to ultimately land in Dallas with Dirk Nowitzki and Josh Howard to make yet another dangerous trio in the NBA and possible favorites to come out of the West.OnToplist.com ran... Luis' Take On Kobe vs LeBron: The Finals Prove It All
2007-12-11 03:18:00 Alright, so the long going argument in the NBA is between the King LeBron James or Mr. 81 Kobe Bryant. Who is the better player? Well it is quite obvious, it is none other than Kobe Bryant. He has the stats and experience that any great NBA legend has. Yet the only rebuttal that people can make in LeBron’s defense is, “well at least LeBron can carry his team to the NBA playoffs. Kobe couldn’t even do that”. As true as all this may be, you have to look at the whole picture. The 2006-2007 once again proved that the West was the toughest conference of the two and this proved to be true through the 2007 NBA Playoffs. James’ first obstacle were the revived Washington Wizards (41-41), which proved to be no match for the Cavaliers (50-32) when they got swept in the first round. Their second round opponents were the New Jersey Nets (41-41) which put up a better fight that the Wizards did by managing to win two games but still falling to King James. Three In a Row!
2007-12-10 07:45:00 A legitimate winning streak has begun for the Los Angeles Lakers after taking down Baron Davis and the high powered offense of the Golden State Warriors 123-113. Rockin' the old school jerseys (love those jerseys), Kobe and company showed up to play Sunday night in Los Angeles.Three in a row against good teams, at least two out of three were good teams. First it was the Minnesota Timberwolves (not saying much there), then overcoming 51 from Allen Iverson and now slowing down the league's top offense in the Golden State Warrior. Not bad, not bad boys! Of course, as always, Kobe Bryant got his with 28 points, 8 assists and 3 steals. Not the best shooting night going 9 for 23, but the guy always seems to get the job done.Andrew Bynum had to be the most impressive against the Warriors as he did what the ideal center would do (or what you want him to do) scoring 20 points, grabbing 11 boards and blocking 5 shots. The kid is definitely starting to shape up and show his potential of bein...
Jason Kidd Not Happy with New Jersey Nets
2007-12-09 03:16:00 It seems that once again trade talks and rumors about Jason Kidd leaving the Nets are up and running again. So, being the Lakers fan that I am, I am wondering if the Lakers take a shot at getting the all-star point guard?Well, with the Lakers being pretty talented and stacked at the point guard position with Derek Fisher, Jordan Farmar and rookie Jarvis Crittenton, the question is, should they go after Jason Kidd? The Lakers' record isn't all that bad at 11-8 and they have shown signs of potential over the course of this season, not to mention center Andrew Bynum playing well on an consistent basis. So I ask again, should they go after Kidd? This season Jason Kidd is playing like the Kidd of old averaging 11.3 ppg, 10.3 and 8.6 rpg. Pretty impressive stats considering his age and the state of the Nets, but is it really worth giving up young talented players like Farmar and Crittenton, I would say no, but I am betting Kobe Bryant would say yes.Keep your ear to the ground Lakers fans... Trade Talks?
2007-12-08 04:17:00 This is just speculation, like all trade talks and rumors, but from what I heard that a trade between the Detroit Pistons and the Los Angeles Lakers was in the works and almost went down today and you know who was right in the middle of it!Yep, Kobe Bryant was involved in yet another trade rumor, this time it was a very beneficial trade for both sides, if you can believe that! There were a few scenarios being tossed around, but basically it was going to be Kobe Bryant for Rip Hamilton and Tayshaun Price. If you ask me, that is probably going to be the best deal that the Lakers can make if it absolutely has to happen. The Chicago Bulls possible exchange in the beginning of the season involving Ben Gordon, Luol Deng (maybe) and a few others seemed like the best bet, but now it just seems ridiculous and a sigh of relief for the Lakers.Even though the Detroit deal didn't go down, this still shows us that the Kobe Bryant trade saga is far from over regardless of how well they are playing... 51 for Iverson, but Not Enough to Take Down the Lakers
2007-12-06 08:19:00 Denver Nuggets superstar Allen Iverson was absolutely on fire on Wednesday night lighting up the Lakers for 51 points and 8 assists, deadly with the basketball every time he touched it shooting 18 for 27 and causing a lot of problems for the Lakers on defense forcing starters Kobe Bryant and Luke Walton to sit on the bench early with 4 fouls each.Even with Iverson being virtually unguardable, the Lakers still managed to keep in the game with an unlikely player stepping up. Vlamdamir Radmanovic who was hot from downtown all night, hitting 6 out 9 from distance and finishing with 21 points. Unfortunately for Radman, Phil Jackson benched him in the middle of his hot streak (which made no sense).Kobe Bryant had a rough game being in foul trouble the majority of the time, but in classic Kobe fashion, he came through when the Lakers needed him most, the 4th quarter. Kobe scored 12 of his 25 points in the fourth to propel the Lakers to 111-107 victory and a two win streak. The win streak co...
Easy Win for the Lakers 116-95 Over the Timberwolves
2007-12-05 07:14:00 Once again the post Garnett-era Minnesota Timberwolves were no match for Kobe Bryant and the Lakers . Well, I guess you could say they were no match for the Lakers bench because most of the bench played the majority of the game. Both Kobe Bryant and Lakers center Andrew Bynum were suffering from flu like symptoms on Tuesday, so much so that Bynum ended up in the hospital rather than the game, but Kobe on the other hand felt well enough to lace them up, even though he had trouble all day keeping any kind of food down prior to the game.No Bynum, no Turiaf (concussion) and a sick Kobe, recipe for disaster right? Wrong! Kobe got off to a quick start in the first quarter scoring 13 points which somewhat set the Lakers on autopilot and the pace for the rest of the game; he ended the night with 20 points shooting 6 for 12 in 29 minutes. After Kobe got the Lakers going in the first, the bench stepped up big time by scoring 59 points with the biggest contributors being Jordan Farmar with 13, 3 ... Kobe Bryant or LeBron James?
2007-12-03 08:51:00 This is one question that will be asked for years to come and debated over and over again, but what is the answer? Who is the better player? Who is more versatile? If you were to ask me that question right now, I have to say Kobe Bryant , but LeBron is creeping up on him.I know I have a very bias opinion being a crazy Lakers fan and all, but you can't argue with 3 championship rings, 2-time scoring champion, an 81 points in one game, 9-time All-Star appearances, 2 All-Star MVPs, 5 All NBA First Team selections, 7 All defensive team selections and Slam Dunk champion.Obviously Kobe has been in the league a lot longer than LeBron James , but LeBron can't take over a game like Kobe can (except against the Pistons in the playoffs last season, got to give him that one), LeBron can't play defense like Kobe, the only advantage I would give King James over the Black Mamba is his passing ability. Parker About to Get Smushed
2007-12-03 08:31:00 I know no one really cares about what happens to Smush Parker now, but I thought I would write this up so you know what the Lakers are missing, more like not missing, at all. It seems that Smush got in an altercation with a valet attendant, a female valet attendant and no, it's not what you think, no sex scandal.I guess this dumb ass, after signing the biggest contract of his life (still don't know why the Heat gave him a contract that big), refused to pay the valet attendant $12 lousy dollars and twisted the arm of the girl. This was probably blown way out of control, but $12 bucks, when you are a millionaire? Come on you stingy bastard, that is chump change for almost anyone.Keep in mind that I have actually defended this fool in the past, but come on man, cough it up and show some love to people that work for tips!As a result of this tomfoolery (I have always wanted to use that word), Pat Riley has made him inactive. Dwight Howard and Company Too Much for Kobe Bryant and the Lakers
2007-12-03 07:38:00 There is no question that Orlando Magic's center Dwight Howard is the next big man superstar in the league, but can Kobe Bryant pull his defense together and stop the best center and the revamped Magic? Nah, not this time anyway. Dwight Howard didn't have the most dominant game off the glass as he usually does with only 8 rebounds, but he was definitely dominated the paint on defense, blocking five of the Lakers shots and scoring 17 points on the other end.Rashard Lewis and Hedo Turkoglu were the two other bright spots on the Magic squad against the Lakers, Lewis contributed 18 pts even with a poor shooting effort of 5-12, Turkoglu continued to play well with 14 points, 7 assists and 10 boards. The combination of Howard, Lewis and Turkoglu is starting to become of the best trios in the NBA just behind Phoenix (Nash, Stoutamire, Marion), Boston (Garnett, Pierce, Allen) and the Spurs (Duncan, Parker, Ginobili) triple threats on offense. The Lakers on the other hand didn't play terri... 2007-12-01 07:13:00 After totally embarrassing the Denver Nuggets the night before, the Lakers get a taste of their medicine when they went up against the Utah Jazz Friday night in Utah.Coming into Friday's game, the Lakers seemed to have an advantage with the Jazz's all-star forward Carlos Boozer sitting on the bench with an injury, but little did they know that Andrei Kirilenko, Deron Williams and Paul Millsap were more than ready to pick up the slack in place of Boozer. These three guys were just ballin' it up, firing on all cylinders all night long! Deron Williams was slashing, dishin' and hitting his jumpers, scoring a game high 35, Kirilenko was virtually unstoppable on both end of the floor almost getting a quadruple-double with 20 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists, 6 steals and 4 blocked shots. Paul Millsap didn't have the monster game that Kirilenko and Williams had, but he got the job done in taking Boozer spot for the night with 20 points and 9 boards. Then we have the Lakers, who obviously... Sasha Shows Up Against the Denver Nuggets
2007-12-01 05:06:00 Sasha, Sasha, Sasha...where have you been? Finally, Sasha Vujacic has a performance worth talking about as he scored a career high 22 points, 19 of which came in the last 12 minutes of the fourth quarter. Vujacic wasn't the only one off the bench having that contributed, Luke Walton and Jordan Farmar also had an impressive day with Walton scoring 14 points and Farmar adding 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in 19 minutes of play.Andrew Bynum continues to step up with yet another double-double as the big kid scored 12 and ripped down 13 boards, but he did struggle from the line only hitting two out of six free throws. And of course you know Kobe Bryant got his as he scored 24 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and distributed 7 assists.Even though the Lakers convincingly beat AI, Melo and company 127-99, there are still some reasons for concern as Lamar Odom and Vladimir Radmanovic continue to struggle combining for only 18 points and both shooting a terrible percentage with Vlad only hit... 2 More Years for Phil Jackson as Lakers Head Coach
More articles from this author:2007-11-30 05:33:00 After a long and drawn out wait, the Zen Master Phil Jackson finally decided to sign a contract extension and stay coaching the Los Angeles Lakers for another 2 seasons for reportedly a little less than 24 million dollars. What the hell was he waiting for? 24 million dollars! For two years worth of work, are you kidding me? I know anyone in professional sports gets paid good, I mean an unbelievable amount of money, this deal was like winning the lottery for Jackson. Hmmmm... sure, I will coach the best franchise and best player in the NBA for 12 million a year, I guess, if I have to.I got much love for the almost crippled Zen Master, loved him through the Michael Jordan era and when Shaq daddy was in town, but damn, way to string us all along.
