As the world watched the Giants deliver an old school beat down that Lawrence Taylor would be proud of, I was delighted and a little sad all at the same time. I have been a Dolphins fan my entire life, but a little part of me wishes the champagne popping would stop. Not because I don?t relish what the Dolphins did in 1972, but because there is something desperate and pitiful about the irrelevant Mercury Morris and Don Shula spouting off at the mouth every time someone comes close to their beloved record.

If one had to single out one reason for Fulmer's continued employment at the University of Tennessee recruiting would surely be at the top of the list.

Tennessee will try to continue their winning ways at Thompson Boling Arena tonight as they welcome the Ole Miss Rebels to town for the SEC conference opener for each team. Dave Clawson Interviews with Tennessee

Much of today's speculation centers around Richmond head coach Dave Clawson who reportedly was in town today visiting with Coach Fulmer. Clawson is in his fourth year with the Spiders and has developed a reputation as a program builder.

Demetrice Morley expected to return

According to an article this morning in the Times Free Press, Demetrice Morley has met the academic requirements to re-enroll for the spring semester at Tennessee. In order for Morley to be eligible to play next season however, the formal process will need to be completed. That's expected to happen sometime next week.

Vols hold on for Outback Bowl win

For only the third time since the 98 championship season, Tennessee finishes the season with a win. The Vols overcame the many distractions that faced them during the post season, including coaching vacancies, suspended players and having to witness Duke officials attend bowl practice.

Do you know who Bruce Warwick is? Honestly? Well, apparently you should. Warwick's official title at Tennessee is Assistant AD of Football Operations, but that's about all the information I could find from the University's website. It doesn't even begin to describe the respect that Warwick seems to have on the hill and around the country.
