Academy News: Oscar Voting Ballots DUE THIS FRIDAY

Ballots sent out to the 5,755 voting members of AMPAS must be returned to PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, January 14. AMPAS says that ballots received after that deadline will not be counted. AMPAS is using a preference voting system to count the ballots for the "majority of categories." Again, that's 5 PM PST, which is 8 PM EST. Hurry up!

This growing site is called the Khan Academy. The instructor, Salman Khan, is helping current students and former students gain or regain their footing with these topics. He basically provides a 10 minute block of instruction (due to youtube’s time limit) on a given topic, which is short enough to keep your attention span. His site offers over 1800 different courses.Salman gave up a successful career in finance to share his vast knowledge with the world for FREE. Notre Dame to play the U.S. Naval Academy....in Ireland
2010-09-22 10:12:00 Not exactly a home game for either squad, but it seems like Notre Dame and Navy will facing off in Dublin's brand new Aviva stadium come 2012. Apparently the University is more serious about its ties to the Irish than mascots of stereotypes and color schemes, because 50,000 seats in recession-ravaged Ireland to play American football and televising it live to the States doesn't necessarily seem more lucrative than the average Notre Dame game. At least Navy will play something that heavily resembles rugby for the local audience. One of the not so fun parts of Justin's wedding was our friend Brittny--a resident of the nation--relaying to us the horror stories of Ireland's economic collapse. So maybe it would be nice to do something to stimulate the Irish economy, even it's a one-time event that will nothing to address their systemic issues.
