Recensie: The Very Best - Warm Heart Of Africa
2009-10-15 12:37:00
The Very Best.

Currently, the market for cell phones is exploding as the technology ...

The Key To Qaddafi?s Personality
2009-09-21 13:18:00
I know that I am lazy and I should have written this post from couple of weeks ago when the Fath so called Revolution 40th celebrations were the talk of world after all it was not usual to see all those guests especially from the west celebrating with Qaddafi , the same man they fought for 40 years. 40 Years had passed and the Libyan policies have been changing in the same way the moods of Qaddafi have been, from socialism to capitalism, from East to West , from Arab nationalism to African nationalism, from a colonel who downed a monarchy to the king of kings of Africa. Of course in this year?s celebration the main focus Qaddafi as it has always been in the past 40 years in Libya. To understand the key of this man?s personality who many consider mad , we must go back to history but I must tell you that this an is not mad as you may think. It was well known and documented that when Qaddafi led his coup against the As-Senussi Royal Family in 1969 President Nasser congratulated th...
Queen Fatimah of Libya
2009-09-20 11:43:00
For the first time since a very long time Queen Fatimah of Libya , the last living Queen from the Senussi dynasty was the subject of an Arabic newspaper report  . Of course I understand why the Saudi owned Pan Arab newspaper Al Sharq Al Awsat made a report about the 91 years old Queen in exile in the same Qaddafi was celebrating the 40 anniversary of his co-called revolution which is a military coup to be accurate. Queen Fatimah has been living in exile in Cairo since the revolution in 1969 , currently the old Queen is in hospital , hopefully she will get well. I wish time will come and she will see the day her country without Al-Qaddafi. The former Queen has won recently a lawsuit against the State in Libya to restore her old palace in some Libyan city , I do not know if it were Benghazi or Tripoli but I know that currently this palace is the new HQ of the British Embassy in Libya if I were not mistaken. Here is a photo taken for her from several years ago along with an adv...

Africa desperately needs trade links: a pictorial essay | Aid Watch [del.ic
2009-09-16 00:35:00
In all the debates about free trade, we can forget sometimes that international trade is not optional for a very small, very poor country. If there are any kinds of returns to scale at all in many sectors, and casual observation and much research suggests there are, then a tiny domestic market will rule out any serious domestic production in many, many sectors (is the Gambia going to be making refrigerators any time soon?) So trade will be a necessity, specializing in what each small, poor country can do, and importing everything else. And what continent is full of small, poor countries? Africa, of course.

Out of Africa: ETF expert eyes South Africa
2009-07-27 14:00:00
"When most people think of Africa, images of business and commerce don't usually spring to mind -- more like wildlife, safaris and famine," suggests Nathan Slaughter. In The ETF Authority, he explains, "But those perceptions are beginning to change as these countries continue to industrialize. And at the vanguard of this transformation is South Africa." Here, he looks at the iShares MSCI South Africa ETF (NYSE: EZA)."Once a backwater country shunned by most of the international community, South Africa has made great strides over the past decade and continues to evolve. Fifteen years ago the government began an aggressive overhaul of South Africa's economy."Taxes were cut, tariffs were reduced, and pro-business reforms were put in place to create jobs, promote free trade and attract foreign capital. "And since then, inflation has fallen, budget deficits have been reined in, and the country's sovereign government debt has been upgraded to ...

Join us in praying for Zimbabwe
2009-03-04 23:52:00
Welcome to the first Love Zim prayer email. Thank you for your passion and commitment to pray for the people of Zimbabwe .Zimbabwe is at a crossroads. The Unity government, led by President Robert Mugabe and Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai, has got radical choices to make. A choice between democracy and tyranny, failure or success, economic recovery or oblivion, mass suffering or healing. They can't do this alone and require the love, prayers and support of the global community as they rebuild their nation. The reality is that the signs so far are not good. Robert Mugabe's sincerity to bring about real change is still in question. Political prisoners and abductees have not been freed. Against the spirit of reconciliation, Deputy Minister Roy Bennet was arrested on the eve of the swearing in of ministers on charges related to his political activities. Thousands have died of cholera and are still dying on a daily basis. The police and Militias continue to harass and intimidate. Zi...

Brutal murder of a Somali convert from Islam
2009-02-20 13:51:00
CSI report,'Footage has emerged of a mobile phone video showing the tragic and brutal murder of a Somali convert from Islam. In September 2008, members of the al-Shabab militia intercepted 25-year-old Mansour Mohammed, a humanitarian aid worker and convert from Islam, along with his driver. Mansour?s driver managed to escape, but later that day at a nearby village the militiamen asked villagers to gather around as they had prepared a ?celebration? for them. Five masked men armed with guns and large traditional daggers dragged a handcuffed Mansour to the area where the villagers had gathered, forcing him to kneel. The militia men declared that Mansour was a ?Murtad,? who spied for the Ethiopian Army and began reciting from the Qur?an. One militia pulled back his head, occasionally turned it from side to side, and at one point scraped a large dagger against his hair several times as if sharpening it - it seemed he wanted to force some reaction from Mansour. However, the video of his d...

Eritrea : Two More Die as Government Step Up Campaign to Stamp Out Christia
2009-01-24 13:05:00
CSW says,:'Sources have confirmed that eight Christians have died while imprisoned for their faith in Eritrea in the last few years. In addition, church leaders estimate that a further 2,907 Christians, including over 100 women, are being imprisoned because of their faith. The government campaign against Christians continued into 2009 with the arrest on 11 January of 15 male members of the Kale-Hiwot Church in Keren. Five of them are preachers. All those arrested were taken from their homes. In early January, Mogos Hagos Kiflom (37) died at Mitire Military Confinement, as a result of the continued physical torture he endured for his refusal to recant his faith. Kiflom, who was a member of the Rhema Church, leaves behind a wife, one child and his mother. On 16 January, Mehari Gebreneguse Asgedom (42) also died in Mitire while under solitary confinement. Sources say he died as a result of ongoing physical torture and complications from his diabetes. Asgedom was a member of the Church...

Obama is so pro-homosexual

Christian Observer reports. 'In a strongly worded letter today, Association for Church Renewal President Rev. David Runnion-Bareford warned President Elect Obama about the destructive impact of his decision to invite Episcopal Bishop Gene Robinson to lead prayer at the Sunday celebration of his inauguration:Rev. Runnion-Bareford wrote, ?Your decision, to invite Bishop Gene Robinson to provide public leadership at the Sunday celebration of your inauguration is offensive and disappointing to many of us in Christian leadership who seek to be supportive of your presidency. In contrast to your other choices for religious leadership during this historic occasion, Robinson is a schismatic figure who has intentionally caused deep hurt and division in the Christian church. Why does our media ignore Africa?
2008-12-03 17:08:00
Last Saturday night I received an email from a friend forwarding messages from friends in Jos who were surrounded by riots. I looked on the BBC site and found a report but there was nothing on TV news except a day later a ticker tape message on Sky News and one report on BBC News 24. There was little on any radio and the item soon vanished from the BBC url's front page.Estimates of deaths in Jos varied but the lowest were at least twice as many as in Mumbai from whence we were getting wall to wall coverage of killings. So does Africa not matter? I often feel I live near India. Now I see it even more.
