Mobile garden hopes to hit the rails next April
2009-10-20 13:00:00 Joe Baldwin is hoping to bring a native plant garden to the masses via a flatbed CTA car next spring.Baldwin is talking with the CTA about all the details. A CTA spokeswoman said there is no agreement yet, but the transit agency is putting together a cost estimate. The CTA still needs more technical information and whether it's even feasible. Some details can be found at the Mobile Garden site, including prototype photos like the one shown here. Good luck on this. Seems like a cool, but possibly expensive project....

It is a question that I don't know the answer to. The data that I read seems to indicate that in our local market, we are closer to the end of the downturn than the beginning, but I think it would be premature to say that we are in the rebound stage. Hawaii in general and Oahu in particular seems to have been uniquely positioned to better weather the financial storm that descended into the real estate market over the past few years. Factors benefiting Oahu seem to be the combination of employment, supply versus demand of housing and a lower than average number of subprime mortgages. On April 20th, We made History !
2009-04-21 21:28:00 Mike Mc Bride and I crossed the finish line at the Boston marathon in under the time limit, making us the first registered athletes with documented severe lung disease to do so! Unfortunately,my asthma started to flare-up during the last two miles, and within 15 minutes of crossing the finish line, I was whisked away to Boston Mass General hospital where I’m now reportedly in stable condition and obviously able to type and send this post out ( computer courtesy of the wonderful Social Services people at the hospital.) I ‘ll write a full race report in about a week when I return to California, but let me just say this..The Boston marathon is all what they say…and More!! Thanks everyone for your support!
