In today’s edition of Celebrity Birthdays, an Osmond turns 52, Borat turns the big 4-0, and the Red Rocker is 64 years old today. Guess who? Happy Birthday, Paul Simon! The singer is 70 years old today. I grew up listening to the music of Simon & Garfunkel, thanks in part to my father, who was instrumental in introducing us kids to all things music. I have many memories of listening to ‘The Sounds of Silence’, ‘Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme’, and ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’. Next year marks the 25th anniversary of Simon’s ‘Graceland’ album, and a tour is currently in the works, most likely concurrent with the release of a ‘Graceland’ box set reportedly set for May 2012.
