Originally used as a fund-raising stamp for the Canadian Lung Association, in my lifetime they have been mailed to homes sometime in November with a request for donations. An avid pen-pal and Christmas card-sender, I have been collecting Christmas Seals for as long as I can remember. Every year they had a different design. About ten years ago I created Christmas ornaments with them, using old photographic slide containers which sandwiched them perfectly. The one above is an example. Many of the fakes pose a health risk. ?Counterfeit batteries are going to explode, a counterfeit electrical cord might catch fire and burn the house down,? the director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement said. ?Toys are always a concern.
