What I Fed My Family of Five for $80 This Week
2009-11-25 03:13:00 Target bargains included boneless, skinless chicken breast for $1.75 a pound after coupon and French's Fried Onions for $1.75 after coupon. Also at Target I got some more free bread with $1/1 bake shop coupons, and I also used those (no longer available) $1/1 bake shop coupons to get a couple muffins for 29 cents (one not pictured because it got eaten on way home). Also this week I spent $13 at Dominick's (Thanksgiving sale produce and milk) and $4 at Jewel-Osco (sweet potatoes, etc.). So that's about $70 for the week, not counting anything I bought for my birthday party Saturday night. (Why's that? Well, we budget ourselves $50 a month for "entertaining," and since we don't have someone over every single month, I was able to pay for my party quite easily even though It cost more like $100. Here's what we ate on $70 this week.
