2008-02-25 09:40:00 Not only was the timing right to have a house warming party, but it was also a good time to have a get together and introduce all our closest friends to my parents. Scheduled for 1pm start it was funny that the UK friends arrived early with the Kiwi friends filtering in over the next few hours!!As always I took heaps of photos (along with the help of Jenny) and those really tell the story. We really had the best time, my parents got to meet the most inspirational people in our new life and we got to spend the afternoon doing what we do best - eating, drinking and having fun!! A wonderful day, reconfirming a thousand times just how much we love NZ, our friends and the amazing lifestyle.

Saturday's House Warming Party
2007-12-05 00:48:00 Saturday night my husband and I hosted a little get together. We've been in the city for 2 weeks now, but I had only seen and talked to a few people. So it was wonderful to see everyone again. :o)I had my camera out with the intention of using it. Unfortunately I completely forgot to take pictures. This is unfortunate as it isn't often when the whole gang is together now a days. My mom friends are like me with at least one in elementary school. Since we live all over the city, our kids go to different schools. It isn't like when the kids were in diapers and we could meet during the week for play dates. So I treasured seeing everyone again and re-newing my friendshipsSaturday also happened to be my hubby's birthday. He isn't a big fan of chocolate cake, so for the past few years I have made him rice crispy cake (at his request). Our son was pretty darn disappointed. 2006-12-03 01:33:02 Just to bring you all up to speed, a little over a week ago we had our house warming party! It's taken about a week to catch up with everyone and get the photos together, so I kept delaying putting together a post to thank everyone who came, and say a very big THANK YOU for all the wonderful gifts we received. We had an enjoyable time and I hope you all did too! Right now we are planning on hosting a New Year's Party (December 31st, of course!) as my Mum (note different spelling!) and brother (Richard) will be visiting.
