ATM lawsuit filed against Amcore Bank
2009-12-07 22:47:00 A class action lawsuit was filed against Amcore Bank regarding its alleged failure to post notices on certain ATMs informing users that a fee will be imposed. According to the complaint, Amcore violated the Electronic Funds Transfer Act when it did not have "Posted Fee Notices" on several of its ATMs located in Rockford and other cities. The complaint states that the Electronic Funds Transfer Act requires ATMs to provide notice to consumers that a fee will be imposed for using the machine and what the fee will be. Earlier this decade,the Department's Division of Vital Records started interpreting the Vital Records Act to allow womeone to change the gender "marker" on their birth certificate only if the individual had their sex reassignment surgery performed by a US licensed physician. This automatically disallowed those individuals who sought and received sex reassignment surgery in Europe, South America and Asia.
