They have also pushed for their supremacy in the e-book segment by introducing various Kindleâs over the years with latest one being Kindle Fire. Amazon had recently introduced a e-book lending program which is roughly like the Netflix model. The e-books can be acquired through a public library lending program for free by paying a minimum subscription or by being a premium member. It seems like a sweet deal but the major publishers donât think so. Over concerns of piracy, publishers like Penguin have recently pulled out all their titles from the program. The program allows users with prime subscription accounts to borrow one e-book a month from a pool of 5000 books. But none of the six big publishers are too keen to get into the program. Lost School Library Books - The ultimate hide and seek
2010-05-29 13:10:00 It's that dreaded time of year again. School is almost over. And although I'm not looking forward to the constant demands of kids 24/7, that's not what I'm stressing about. It's the end of the year missing book notices from the school librarian. It's not as much as the need to find the books, it's the timeline I'm under. I'm not sure when the Chicago Public Schools get out, but my kids get out Wednesday. Therefore, the books are due this Tuesday.... NO MATTER WHAT. I can list the multiple places that I've looked for these books, but every parent I know, knows this drill...Where did you see it last?Where do you remember reading it?Did you take it out of the house...
