Louis Armstrong: Hello Dolly
2008-06-01 13:05:00 There is just something about Louis Armstrong. Yes, he had a very unique voice. He played the trumpet as well, or better, than anyone but there was something more. He was a showman. Even in this very poor quality video, his showmanship shines through. Enjoy. Louis Armstrong: The Cucaracha
2007-10-23 13:46:00 I first heard La cucaracha from an old LP my dad had from the fifties (in HI-FI!) Wikipedia says it's of Mexican or possibly Spanish origin (it also says it's about marijuana, which didn't occur to me at age five [or even age 35]). Louis Armstrong thought it sounded best with a Cuban beat. Notice the 4-2 (Bo Diddley) beat from the claves. For more Cuban-influenced American music, go here. Louis Armstrong - What A Wonderful World
