Than I did some calculation and found that this recipe had more fat than the Most Extraordinary French Lemon Cream Tartlets . This time I hadn't the feeling I would like, it sounded too rich and heavy. My son persuaded me to give the recipe a try, because he is a fan of peanut butter. I used some reduced-fat products, which I normally won't buy and halved the recipe. In the absence of a 6-inch-pan I used three tartelet-dishes. I quartered one tartelet and served it as a portion. 2008-05-06 06:04:00 Actually, its PBT's wicked sorella gemella/twin sister, Hazel (wickedly good that is) ?.Before we meet Hazelnut Torte, lets look back a sec...The picture on pg. 283, the Peanut Butter Torte, looks scrumptious, simply scrumptious. I am not even a big PB fan (unless I have a stick or two of celery - then I am good for a couple of months). Even so, I was eager, and was ready for my plan. My plan, as always, is to bake on Sunday. If I don?t have another obligation, my Sunday mornings are pretty predictable. Get up, take out butter/cream cheese and/or eggs to bring to room temp, laundry, miscellaneous cleaning, blog-checking/reading, bake, bake, and bake (while watching Food Network).This Sunday was no different, except my head wasn?t quite in the game. The gremlins were still hanging around, as they continue to attack cheesecakes and (most recently) cookies. But, I think they were sleeping this Sunday since I didn?t completely butcher anything. Peanut Butter Biscuits
2008-04-27 04:14:00  Well, it’s been pretty hectic over here in the DDD household. For the past couple of days, I’ve been slogging away at course prep for a course that deals with diaries and personal journals. (Did you know, for instance, that  the first online diary, or weblog –today known simply as “blog”–was begun in 1994? Or that psychiatrists and psychologists often ask their patients to use free association or stream-of-consciousness in journals as a way to dredge up old, repressed conflicts or neuroses?)  Okay–enough- work for now! Time for a snack break. Ah, but what to eat? Hmmm. . . .well, funny, but peanut butter popped into my head. Oh, yeah, baby–peanut butter! I love it. It’s creamy, it’s delicious, it’s full of–well, nuts.
