WAR ON PHOTOGRAPHY
2012-01-25 03:21:00 American lawyer, Mickey H. Osterreicher, wants the public to know that ever since 9/11 besides, terror, there has been an ever-increasing "War On Photography." According to the National Press Photographers Association (NPPA) attorney, U.S. authorities on federal and local fronts have been clamping down on the First Amendment rights of photo journalists and civilians alike by interfering with, detaining, and even arresting them on the basis of anti-terrorism. Mr. Osterreicher wants to bring light to the injustice by writing about it--particularly issues concerning photography and the law. Interested readers can check out more information via his column on JPG Mag, his Twitter account, or the NPPA blog. Get informed!

Can you see these four brake lights on this brake happy Dodge Ram driver?
2011-12-18 21:34:00 (Photo takes by me "Brian Vermette" with my 3MP cell phone) Sorry, I just could help myself to take this picture (from the passenger seat, no I wasn't driving) when I was coming up to the Massachusetts tolls on the MassPike yesterday after being stuck behind this Dodge Ram at the tolls. Ironically enough, we were in the Fast Lane (EZ Pass lane), no change required, just wait for the green light once it bills you. But I do have to say that I like the four different locations of the bright brake lights.

More Photography Services
2011-11-27 16:07:00 We have added a number of other fun services to our photography portfolio, these are listed below; Photo Sketch Our software is used to convert the captured images into pencil sketches. Photo Morph The images are altered using morphing software to give an exaggerated caricature style look. Digital Makeover Using the latest in Anthropics software this one takes an image and quickly turns it into an airbrushed photo worthy of a magazine cover. Some of the options are a little much and include facial sculpting, but if you stick to the lower settings it gives fantastic results. postCount('227'); | postCountTB('227');
Photography: A 1970 Plymouth Road Runner that is nicknamed ?The Hammer?.
2011-11-24 22:47:00 (Photo Credit: Hot Rod and Barrett-Jackson.com)This is one Dream car that I?ve never seen in person, but is one amazing ride that even I would love to own myself. It?s a 1970 Plymouth Road Runner that is named ?The Hammer?. I first saw ?The Hammer? on RIDES (TV Series) a few years ago when the guys at Pure Vision Design when the team was racing to debut this muscle car at the upcoming SEMA show in Las Vegas. The car has an all aluminum 526 HEMI big block engine and was featured on RIDES, in Hot Rode Magazine, at SEMA and of course in the movies Fast & Furious 3 and 4.Of course the is muscle car returned at the 2010 Barrett-Jackson in Orange County where it was hammered away for $175,000.But I do have to say that ?The Hammer? is also available in a 1/18 scale GMP Scale diecast as well. personally I?ve been looking to buy one of them, but just haven?t been able to get my hands on it since they go for so much money. I figure if I can?t own the real thing, then at least I could own i...
Photography: Tony Stewart?s Hearse, "the Smoke Deville" from Unique Whips.
2011-11-24 22:41:00 (Photos were taken by me - Brian Vermette)While I was looking though my digital photography collection, I came across those photos and I decided to share them here on ThinkingBrian.com. The photos above are Tony Stewart?s custom made Unique Hearse that is nicknamed ?The Smoke Deville? that Tony Stewart had built years ago by Unique Autosports that was featured a SPEED Channel show called Unique Whips.Back in 2008 at a Motorsports show called Speedway Expo in E. Springfield, Massachusetts, I saw this ride for the first time. I walked by this hearse a few times and on the final time by, the Unique Autosports crew had turned on the inside lights and damn, with the lights on this one just shines. The photos above don?t do this hearse full justice. Of course I do own the two episodes that show them building it. I just bought them on Amazon and downloaded them to my notebook so I watch them whenever I want too. And I hope to have them on my Android device real soon. Can you imagine drivin...

Photography: SEMA 2011: Justin Bieber?s Batman-Themed Cadillac CTS-V Coupe.
2011-11-11 23:23:00 Earlier this year, the guys over at West Coast Customs built Justin Bieber his latest ride, a brand new Batman-Themed Cadillac CTS-V Coupe that is completely blacked out. The ride features black leather and swade custom seats with a strip of purple stitching, suicide doors and a matt black finish. The vehicle appeared on the season finale of Inside West Coast Customs. Out of all of the rides customized on this season?s show, this was the best in my opinion.Personally, I like sleeper cars, something that people wouldn?t normally take a second look at as well as blackout cars and this one fits into that category perfectly. This is definitively a dream garage type vehicle. Now the ride along with several others includes a few from their hit show Inside West Coast Customs where showcased earlier this week at SEMA 2011 in Las Vegas.(Image Credit: GTSpirit.com) Be sure to click over to GTSpirit.com to see 10 different images of this ride including the rendering. If you like what you red her...

New Themes: Photography, Brand New Day, and Bouquet
2011-11-10 17:10:00 I’m happy to announce that we’ve added another group of three new themes to our collection today. Each one has its own distinct personality but they do share one thing in common: they’re all awesome themes that I know you’ll love. Let’s check them out. The first up is Photography, a premium theme designed by The Theme Foundry specifically for Photographers looking for a great way to share their photos. It takes advantage of Post Formats to present your galleries in a beautiful custom way — in posts and two custom page templates. Make sure you check it out on the Theme Showcase and browse around the Photography theme demo site. Next up is the super-fun, Brand New Day theme designed by Caroline Moore. It’s a lovely, illustrated theme that comes in four different “flavors”–day, night, autumn, and winter. Each flavor is expertly tied into the design. Plus it has different sidebar arrangements and a narrow/wide column option. Finally,...

Photography: SEMA 2011: The Hot Wheels Chevrolet Camaro Concept revealed at
2011-11-01 22:40:00 (Photo Credit/Source: General Motors Facebook Page)Damn, personally I don?t really care much for stock vehicles anymore and would prefer seeing some type of customization to a ride (Paint, Wheels, New Hood or something). But when you cross a muscle car (Chevy Camaro in this case) with my childhood favorite (hot wheels), now that really gets me interested. And even with the green paint, this Camaro looks cool. But for the record, unless I?m showing a vehicle at a show and shine, I actually love sleepers and blacked out cars more. Something that catches other car guys off guard. If you like what you red here on RaceDriven.com, be sure to check out Brian Vermette's Personal and Link Blog at ThinkingBrian.com (on Tumblr)

SLOGAN CONDOMS
2011-10-21 06:24:00 Funny what a little bit of Photoshop and some free time can do for your creative juices. Take photographer, Max Wright, for example. His clever little Tumblr blog is about as tongue-in-cheek as design gets! What he does is re-purpose well-known company slogans as condoms wrappers. We don't care how NSFW this is, it's genius!
OCCUPY PORTRAITS
2011-10-19 18:00:00 As the Occupy Wall Street movement continues to garner global attention, New York City photographer, Eddie McShane, has been diligently setting up a portable studio at Zucotti Park and documenting the many faces behind the protest. He also goes on to say why he's chosen to capture these images:
Canon EF 50mm f1.4 USM
2011-10-15 00:41:00 I have lusted after a short depth of field long enough. I was able to find a great deal on a Canon EF 50mm f1.4 USM so I sprung for it and I must say I love this little guy. It is a lot smaller and lighter than my normal walk around (Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM). The build on this guy is pretty good for the price nice metal lens mount. It has a decent focus speed and is relatively quiet. It’s main two sell point is the attractive price and that ability to stop down to 1.4. Just learning to zoom with my feet Check out the bokeh
