2009-01-02 21:10:00 December was awful. Actually, everything started on late November. Andre got a winter bug, and was vomiting for 3 days. Then, was Filipe's turn: high fever and vomiting. Renato started his new job on December, 1st and on his second week he was poor. On his 3rd week he received a letter from his doctor to stay at home for the whole week. I was sick as well, with a strep throat that triggered an asthma crisis... I went to my office 4 or 5 days in December: always on sick leave, or child sick leave or working from home. We started to get better on 24th, and after a whole month stuck in our house, we decided to do a small trip. Well... not too small - 1000 miles driving... We visited the Sherwood Forest, Skipton, the Lake District, South of Scotland (Loch Lomond, Stirling Castle, Edinburgh and Peebles) and finally Hadrian's Wall and Durham Castle. Gordon had acquired the taste when his employers put in a new computer system for the Distillers Company. I now drink it when i can afford it from time to time.
