Stevie Wonder Joins Bob Marley Onstage In '75
2007-10-19 22:41:00 The kind folks at Bob Marley.com just posted a stream to this epic 8 minute rendition of I Shot The Sheriff.Although recordings of those performances from 1975 and 1979 were never officially released and are extremely rare, we've streamed their nearly eight minute rendition of "I Shot the Sheriff," recorded live in Kingston 32 years ago so you can hear what they sounded like.This incredible recording was captured on Oct. 4, 1975, when the Wailers opened for Stevie Wonder on a sold-out bill dubbed "The Wonder Dream Concert." The show, held at the National Arena in Kingston, was part of a tourism promotion intended to entice visitors to Jamaica during the holiday season. The event also doubled as a fundraiser, with both bands donating profits to the Jamaican Institute for the Blind.Head on over there to listen to the track and read more about this event
