Not only have the White Sox managed to prove that they will not be in the playoffs this season, they've thoroughly established that they are not as good at baseball as those guys from St. Paul (I mean seriously! 5-12!!??! 5-12!!!). But the larger problem with any Kenny Williams team is the constant possibility that this might be the best incarnation of the White Sox for a long time.

There are no small victories, the White Sox need the enormous jump start that only cutting the deficit in half instantaneously can provide. Making up 6 games with 19 to go? Pretty much extremely impossible. Making up 3 games with 16 left and no head-to-head match-ups? That's merely highly unlikely.
