Radiohead Moans Its Way Onto USB
2007-11-08 09:57:00 Radiohead stuck two fingers up to the record industry recently with its 'pay-what-you-like' album launch, and now EMI wants a slice of digital Radiohead by releasing a special USB stick containing all of the band?s back catalogue. I know there have been others launching albums on USB, but this one will be crammed with tunes recorded at a top notch 320Kbps. The albums on the stick are, as follows: Pablo Honey (1993), The Bends (1995), OK Computer (1997), Kid A (2000), Amnesiac (2001), I Might Be Wrong: Live Recordings (2001) and Hail To The Thief (2003). The blurb goes: Strictly limited edition 4Gb USB stick, shaped in Radiohead's iconic "bear" image and housed in a bespoke deluxe box. Contains all seven Parlophone albums (including one live album) available as CD quality WAV audio files. Also contains digital artwork for each album. Don?t expect to be allowed to name your own price on this one though. £80 to the faithful.-Martin Lynch [Radiohead] Lynch radiohead internet ...

Corsair releases ?Flash Padlock? PIN-based flash drive
2007-08-18 21:19:00 Filed under: Storage Innovation in the flash drive sphere seems to be limited to bringing the price down, and adding on new security features. Corsair's new "Flash Padlock" flash drive seemingly does both, by retailing at $29.99 and $39.99 in 1GB and 2GB variants, and tacking on a PIN based security system that limits who can access the drive. The benefit to the Flash Padlock is that its security solution is entirely hardware based, so it's supposedly impervious to hackers and crackers and other deviant folk: the downside is that if your computer's USB ports are out of reach, then this solution is going to be extremely bad for your back. Conceptual UNI enables compartmentalized computing
2007-08-18 01:09:00 Filed under: Desktops, Misc. Gadgets, Home Entertainment Those who find difficulty in cracking open a typical tower to replace that aging DVD writer with one that burns in high-definition should adore Richard Choi's UNI concept, which exemplifies compartmentalized computing and takes the stress out of upgrading. Apparently, the "Think" module would act as the core computer and handle the essentials, while a variety of other plug-in modules would provide additional outputs (HDMI, DVI, optical audio, USB, etc.), hard drive space, and optical drives. Granted, this could get out of hand for those who get UNI-stackin' fever, but we'll certainly pass along kudos to the idea. The Mix Tape USB Drive remembers your roots
2007-08-17 17:52:00 Filed under: Portable Audio, Storage Sure, the compact disc may have just celebrated 25 years in the biz, but nothing says quasi-old school like a double-sided cassette tape. Granted, it's a bit harder to effectively distribute mix tapes on a format rarely appreciated this day in age, so the Mix Tape USB Drive steps in to deliver your favorite compilations in a modern form without ditching that crucial retro flair. Pricing details have yet to be released, but it's slated to hit the streets next month for those interested.[Thanks, Damien] Read | Permalink | Email this | CommentsOffice Depot Featured Gadget: Xbox 360 Platinum System Packs the power to bring games to life!
Mimoco releases a whole new batch of adorable flash drives
2007-08-10 02:44:00 Filed under: Storage Have you been looking for that special something to whip out at the big meeting to show everyone that you've got style, class, and money to burn? Well perhaps you should take a peek at the latest set of Mimobot Core Series 2 USB flash drives, which come fashioned in a wide variety of cute-as-all-get-out cartoon monsters, designed by illustrator Dino Alberto. While we can't say that we prefer these to the company's previous Star Wars-themed line, there is something intriguing about this new set, like the face that these adorable little guys all have an elaborate back-story that's loaded onto the drives for your viewing pleasure -- although you may just want to scrap that to make more room for your "business documents." The drives come in 512MB, 1GB, 2GB or 4GB capacity, and range in price from $39.95 to $109.95. EPOS Technologies? digital pen records your writing
2007-08-09 17:28:00 Filed under: Misc. Gadgets Have you ever been sitting around and suddenly thought of the cure for cancer, or figured out how to build the world's largest hamburger, but you didn't have any way to get your idea down? Sure, you could write it on a piece of paper, but what if that paper got ripped, or blown away by a strong gust of wind? Well luckily, EPOS Technologies thought about all of this and came up with a solution: a digital pen which records your movements on a piece of paper, and then saves them to a USB flash drive for later use. The two-part combo utilizes the company's proprietary system of transmission which employs ultrasonic acoustic waves to help measure the distance and position of the pen, so apparently all you have to do is clip the flash drive to a notepad or related writing surface, and off you go. The whole wacky set-up is available for the bargain-basement price of $79, and should be available by the end of the year. Read | Permalink | Email th...

how do I evict my ex husband.
2007-04-12 03:40:00 My husband and I broke up 3 years ago. He moved back to Michigan which is where we are from. I stayed in Arizona. I filed for divorce,it was finalized on Jan 14th 2005. On Aug 1st. 2005 I moved into a new place, furnished it with all new furnishings etc. In March of 2006 my ex contacted me, said he had been laid off from his job and unable to find another job. He wanted to come back to Arizona, stay with me until he found a job. I told him fine but that he couldn't stay with me indefinitely. So he flew out here at the beginning of May 2006. Well long story short. He has not kept a job long enough to save any money. I have been asking him for months to move out, now he simply refuses. I have even offered to pay his first month on his own place just to get him to move out. He actually has the nerve to tell me if I don't want to live with him - I can move out! I am actually buying my place but I never told him that, he assumed I was renting so I never "corrected his way of thinking...
