Their names were first announced back in early-August but they had to wait for the induction ceremony which, in the past, had been done at the CMA awards but are now relegated to a separate occasion.TV and radio host Emery was inducted first with Raul Malo singing You Gave Me a Mountain, a song written by Marty Robbins who was Emery's most frequent guest. The set comprises forty three songs, divided into four CDs, one focusing on groove, one on rockabilly sound, one on country, and another on the acoustic sounds of folk and bluegrass. Megan sang Waylon Jennings’ “The Wurlitzer Prize” and an original song entitled “Damsel in Distres.” While there was a lot of talent on stage, Megan was clearly better than the rest and the judges made the right decision. The program was taped for a screening on GAC at a later date but I?ll post comments sometime tomorrow for those interested.
