A number of London clubs had all been interested in taking over the Olympic stadium in East London after the games in 2012 among them West Ham United, Tottenham Hotspur and Leyton Orient. The two premiership clubs both looking for new bigger homes to aid their growth, providing them with increased ticket revenue, which could be converted into transfer funds.
