Last night the Wolves despite an early 2 point lead during the first period snatched defeat out of the jaws of victory ultimately going down for the count 5:3. This team is on the second dip of a roller coaster season. I just a few games it will be start to climb consistently or time to sign the lease on the basement. Holding the line in two weekend games after more than 40 shots on goal each, Peter Mannino and Drew MacIntyre have given up just two goals in the Friday and Saturday exhibitions. It was a night where both goalies shone Rockford's Joe Fallon registering 26 saves and Chicago's Drew MacIntyre with 42. It seemed a shame to see MacIntyre go home with a loss credited to him after such a great display of skill. The second notable personnel factor also concerned Wolves defense. One Track at a Time: Phosphorescent - Wolves
2008-05-28 16:18:00 I’m a bit of a latecomer to the Phosphorescent party. I remember sampling some stuff back in ‘07, but never got fully engaged. I was watching a few Black Cab Sessions on Sunday night and found Phosphorescent singing “Wolves.” It’s not a new track, but it stunned me. Phosphorescent is a Brooklyn singer-songwriter (by way of Georgia) that writes tripped-out folk tunes that slowly seep into your skin. It’s the kind of stuff that you need to spend some quality time with to fully understand. I’d recommend listening to “Wolves” twice or thrice in a dark room and see if it agrees with you.
