I'm all for doing it yourself for some things. I installed my own sink, and I can fix a toilet here or there -- fixing a toilet is a necessary skill in our house; sometimes I think the kids are wrestling the toilets -- but windows are part of that category of things that I think are better left to the experts.Roofs, furnaces, hot water heaters -- those things are important and dangerous and should be handled by a qualified contractor.
