iPhone dock charges the headset too

The YouTube button-news is obsolete; the latest spice is that the iPhone dock will provide a base to charge the phone as well as the Bluetooth headset. Now theses are truly unconfirmed reports so we don't vouch for it.But it's interesting to know that the frenzy and fizz surrounding the iPhone has gathered solid momentum. Almost everyday there is some new speculation, lets see what tomorrow holds. BTW do remember to carry enough greens on you Apple accessories don't come cheap!

HP bags the honor of producing the "the largest touch interface" camera included in its latest collection that it announced yesterday. The R937 is an 8-megapixel (with3X optical zoom) and sports a very large 3.6-inch touchscreen and offers you hands on editing on the go. Easy navigation plus tagging facilities make it easy to operate with Windows Vista and the likes.The camera also features slimming, spot removal, and red-eye correction and anti-blur functions. Teac Japan has announced the CD-X10i a plain 2.1 channel CD system with an iPod dock. The super flat NXT speakers deliver an output of 5W x 2 channels, the sub-woofer has a 4 inch cone delivering 15 watts. The CD is played in an upright position same like those old Nakamichi jukeboxes at the music store. It has a FM tuner, sleep timer and an alarm clock. The main unit measures 160×86×226mm and weighs 1kg.The Teac CD-X10i will go on sale in Japan from July for 30,000 Yen ($ 240).

HP Photosmart D7260 and D7460 printers

Hewlett-Packard has unveiled two new printers in the Photosmart series. The D7260 and D7460 comes with 3.5-inch touchscreen so that you can edit, save, print and share your photos. They prints 34 black pages per minute (ppm) and 33 color ppm and gives you a 4 x 6-inch color print in about 10 seconds. They also includes built-in wireless and Ethernet connectivity.The D7260 and D7460 printer are expected to be available in August for $149 and $179, respectively.

Gateway makes a recall for 14,000 notebook batteries

Dell, Apple, Lenovo, and other global laptop makers have already recalled more than 8 million Sony batteries and now, Gateway is recalling 14,000 batteries used in its notebook PCs after four of its customers complained that their computers were overheated. The battery cells have been made by Samsung Electronics Company Limited while they have been amassed into battery packs by Simplo Technology Company Limited, of Taiwan. Samsung hasn’t commented on the recall.Some of the notebooks that fall under the recall are the Gateway 400VTX and 450ROG series notebooks sold between May 2003 and August 2003. The defected batteries have been recognized by part numbers 6500760 or 6500761 and have a “made by SMP” on the label pasted on the underside of the battery pack.
