Like Ike writes, it's now possible to send fax through Skype , thanks to the Skype Plugin PamFax.System requirements:Windows 2000, XP and Vista Requires Skype for Windows 3.0 or better.However according to PamFax:"Currently does not work for sending faxes from U.S.A. and Canada (sending to recipients in U.S.A. and Canada does work)." Skype is totally down, means if you try to login and once I succeeded for a minute, I saw only 48.000 users online at this time. The Cons umer Edition of the patch detector BigFix is more. Microsoft released the finals of the Windows Vista Performance and Reliability Pack packs! It's yet not available with Windows Update, but it has to be downloaded manually. direct download links (X64 versions!) download is available to customers running genuine Microsoft Windows, only! Is Safari so bad on Windows ?Since the beginning, it works for me (after fixing some firewall related/installer issue).It works stable, runs smooth, didn't crash for me and even displayed my blog correctly! And this on Windows Vista eventhough only officially supported since the latests builds.However Opera will stay being my primary browser! Yahoo scares me somehow.A bit of background information: Since PostInfo, the portal for postal news world wide, is closed, they made a Yahoo Group out of it.In the past I never participated in them as I would have used my Yahoo account for it. BUt I avoid it whenever I can as I want to stick with ICQ and Skype only and my 3 primary email accounts I already have.Somehow, it figured out 2 email forwarding addresses, which is scary as I don't think I have told them. Orkut allows now to add feeds and blogs to your profile!Since Orkut and Blog ger are both on Google servers sinnce last year and use the same account system, it automatically detected my bog here and offered me to add it to my profile. ICQ6 is out in Bulgarian now (branded), released by Bulgarian ABV. It's probably also featuring provider related services and functions in its xtraz, just like ICQ 6 Germ an Pro7 and ICQ 6 German Sat1.Maybe such will also appear sooner or later appear if you use the official English client and live in the matching country Just like it happened in ICQ 5.1Anyway, it's interesting that ABV is among the first now since they only did that for ICQ 5 and skipped ICQ 5.1.If you are interested in the Xtraz, see my SAT1 Xtraz description. If you got Opera and Visio Viewer like me, you may experience that, it doesn't work.Microsoft descripes it this way:"Internet Explorer will load the Visio Viewer, which then renders the drawing in the browser window."Situation on my side: Instead of IE opening and displaying the file, Opera opens, downloads it and when you click to open it it will download it again and this endless.If you try to open it from IE7 X64, Opera will start and the same game happens again.The problem is, that the preset for the Visio file extension is wrong. Since 2 days, ICQ 6 features a Multiplayer Xtraz Games buttons in its message window!Initially, it featured all the Multiplayer Games we know and love from ICQ 5.1.However, the fact that you couldn't connect to Pool properly and once you connected, it wouldn't display the balls on the table probably forced them to remove them again. The ICQ Team recently released the new version of their Knowledge Base , updated for ICQ 6. Unfortnately it also features major error. I have been trying Windows Vista since Beta 1 (on an old computer just for testing) and use it on my main computer as my main OS since it came out for end users in February 2007.Today, I stumbled over the entry in Wikipedia, stating that Windows Vista is currently not supported and that's why people who are depening on Skype might not switch to Vista because of that.Well, indeed Raul Liive is right in his blog entry stating that there could be voice and video problems related to bad Vista drivers.However, as Vista X64 is my main OS, I have to say, based on my experience, it's not that bad at all.
