The Truth Behind Windows 7
2008-02-07 03:33:00 A few weeks ago I posted a video showcasing the rumored Windows 7 operating system, which would be the successor to Vista. Much speculation has gone around that it is fake, it's just a modified version of Vista. The video, and other pictures, were indeed Windows 7 . The thing is that the Operating System is in it's early stages. It does look a lot like Vista, but that isn't the thing it has changed. There have been mostly speed improvements, and otheer slight adjustments, but it is no question a new OS. Microsoft says that we won't be able to get our hands on it till 2009, and I'm guessing either late 2009, or even 2010, till it actually is released. New iPhone & iPod Touch Models
2008-02-06 07:02:00 Of course, the day after I get my iPod Touch a new model comes out. It was eventually going to happen, but I had no idea it would be this fast. Apple has announced that they will release a new and improved version of the iPod Touch and the iPhone. Well, the only thing new about them is the hard drive size. Both the iPhone and iPod Touch's hard drive capacities will be doubled. Leaving the iPhone with 16gb of storage, and the iPod Touch with 32gb of storage. Both devices will cost $499. With the current models still availiable at $399 (8gb iPhone, 16gb iPod) and $299 (8gb iPod). I probably still wouldn't have gotten the 32gb iPod touch, but it still makes me mad. It's like when you buy things on Saturdays when you know on Sunday all the stores release the ads with the product you bought the day before on sale. I hate that. NVIDIA Acquiring Ageia
2008-02-05 07:28:00 Well this is big news for you NVIDIA graphics card users (I'm one of them). The leading graphics card maker has made the acquisition of Ageia, and physics card maker. I am guessing that not too many people were shelling out the money for solely a physics card, I myself see it as pointless to buy unless you sleep in a bed of money. But this is certainly good news for gamers. Soon NVIDIA cards will come with Ageia's physics chips embedded in the card, making NVIDIA chips that much better with the addition of advanced physics hardware. Can't wait to see what NVIDIA does with Ageia, I just hope they make a cheap card able to run Crysis good...Thank you for subscribing to my blog!

P2P File Sharing Legal In Italy
2008-02-04 04:15:00 Apparently Italy has unknowingly made it legal to share music files over the internet. Though there are a couple constraints, they are vague and pretty much useless. The music has to be noncommercial and degraded, meaning of lower quality I believe (correct me if I'm wrong), which most music over the internet is. In essence, in Italy it is completely legal to use P2P programs to share copyrighted files over the internet, as of now. I am assuming that the Italian politicians will catch on and realize what they have done. But to fix it, they will have to pass another law. Slim PS3
2008-02-02 03:24:00 With all the PlayStation 3 rumors going around, I knew this would come up as well. It is most likely that Sony will eventually release another version of the PS3, as they did with the PS1 and PS2. While this supposedly slimmer version will probably come out, there are people speculating that it could be as soon as this fall. I would be so mad if this were true, as I just got my PS3 for Christmas. The website T3 has made a mock-up of what they think the new slimmer model would look like. I gotta say, it's not half bad. I would not be surprised if that was the exact look of the remodeled PS3. But, I highly doubt that the new model will come out any time soon, so I wouldn't worry. Old Nintendo Game Modded To Cell Phone
2008-02-01 07:17:00 I thought this was very cool. A modder configured an old Nintendo Game & Watch (Nintendo's handheld before the GameBoy) system to connect to a cell phone. When the cell phone is closed, it looks like a normal game device. But when opened it's like a cell phone. Very cool idea, and it looks awesome. Not sure if the phone is actually connected to the game, so that you could display the time and battery life on the Game & Watch, but it is still awesome. Thank you for subscribing to my blog! Enemy Territory: Quake Wars Review

Enjoy :)StoryQuake Wars has a very normal story, that won't be winning any awards for writing, but that is OK for this type of game. Basically, you have the choice of being the Strogg or the people of Earth. You then duke it out to see who wins various, mostly multi-player, games. Nothing to far fetched, or interesting for that matter. Score 3/5GameplayIf you are a fan of the Quake series, you are in for a major overhaul. The only resemblance with Quake Wars, and the rest of the Quake series is the characters, weaponry, and setting. Gone are the light speed death matches, where every 10 seconds you die. Though, incredibly fun, this game does well without the speedy gameplay. It is more like the Battlefield series in that, you are spawned into a large area and you must complete objectives, as well as kill your enemy, to become victorious. Odd FPSGun Gaming Mouse
2008-01-31 04:18:00 When I saw this, I thought it looked like a shoe insert of some kind. But sure enough, the Zalman FPSGun is a gaming mouse, which I thought was interesting. This almost upside-down looking gun peripheral seems like it would be as uncomfortable as it looks. With the handle of a gun connected to what looks like a shoe, I'm still not quite sure how you use it. The idea seems simple enough though, you use a gun mouse to play First Person Shooter PC games. It's a lot like the more realistic gun mouse, the PistolMouse . Ultimate Mortal Kombat Review
2008-01-30 03:45:00 Here is my review of the somewhat new Nintendo DS game I got for Christmas, Ultimate Mortal Kombat . Enjoy :)StoryWell, seeing as this is a Mortal Kombat game, and a remake of MK3, there really isn't a story present. But, it can be assumed that you are a warrior that has to battle a bunch of other warriors to win the title of supreme warrior. Or something along those lines. A much cliched, yet solid story line. Score: 3/5GameplayIf you loved the arcade, or even older console version of Mortal Kombat, then you will love this. It is a total remake of MK3, with a few added features. The DS dual screens are implemented very well in the game. The bottom screen shows the fighting action, while the top screen shows which combos you and your opponent have at your disposal. This is a great tool, as I always hated having to memorize combos for other fighting games, but in this case all you have to do is look up and it's there. Also, there is a puzzle game included. Legally Free Music Downloads?
2008-01-29 07:34:00 This has caught my attention lately, and apparently many others as well. This new program Qtrax proclaims that with their program, you can download an unlimited amount of music for free via a P2P (Peer to Peer) network. Now, many other programs have done the same thing, but Qtrax promises that it is 100% legal. They way they claim to do this is through advertising. They say "When you download and play music, the support of advertisers allows Qtrax to compensate artists for their work." Now, I'm hoping this doesn't mean I will hear ads in the songs I download, but if that's the case, I'm out. Qtrax also had claimed that they have all these major record labels on board for the program. Well, recently it has been discovered that that is not the case. Apparently all the major labels that Qtrax claimed to have by their side have said they have not yet partnered with the program. Oh well, nice try Qtrax. Thank you for subscribing to my blog! 2008-01-29 01:26:00 It has been circling around the internet that Microsoft will be releasing a new OS entitled Windows 7. Well, to further verify this, there is a video showing Windows 7 in action. Now, this does look an awful lot like Windows Vista, but there are some different things as well. No word on if it is 100% Windows 7, and not just a skinned or modified version of Vista. New PS3 On The Way?
2008-01-28 07:18:00 With all the talks over the last week about some stores dropping the 80GB model of the PS3, this brings up the thought of maybe Sony will release a newer version. I personally do not think they will. All the fuss about Best Buy dropping the 80GB model is pointless. I think they are just making way for the 80GB model without the game Motorstorm bundled in (which is how the 80GB has been being shipped). Also, if they were releasing this new model (supposedly with a larger hard drive), it wouldn't be till late February or March, because that is when their Dualshock 3 controller comes out, and in my opinion it would be pointless to make a new console bundle without the DS3, then later have it in when they could wait a month to do it in the first place. Overall, I hope there isn't a new model, then I will have the old one :(Thank you for subscribing to my blog!

2008-01-25 08:19:00 In case you have been wondering, up until now to actually play the ever popular party game Rock Band you had to shell out $170 to get the whole kit. Well, on February 12th you will be able to pick up each individual instrument. A drumset will set you back $80, while a guitar costs only $60. This will be good for the people that have broken drumsets, so they can get a new one fairly easily. Also good for people who only want to play drums, or only want to play guitar, and have no desire to interact with other people while playing. Though, there is no microphone, and no word on when it will be released, but you can always pick up a USB mic at your local music store and it will work like a charm.Thank you for subscribing to my blog! GTA IV Release Date Official
2008-01-25 02:42:00 That's right, the wait is soon to be over folks. Rockstar, the developer for Grand Theft Auto 4, has announced the date of release for the most anticipated game of 2008. On April 29th, game stores everywhere will be crowded with excited players, just waiting to get their copy (on PS3 or Xbox 360). This time around there is online play as well. I am greatly looking forward to this game, I loved GTA III and San Andreas (never got the chance to play Vice City), and I'm sure number 4 will live up to the massive expectations everyone has. Return of the Gizmondo?
2008-01-24 07:00:00 Remember the Gizmondo? No? Well you are not alone. This was the all-in-one device that, for lack of a better word, failed. The Gizmondo wasn't too good to look at it, but it was packed with a lot. It had a camera, GPS, SMS texting, the internet, a video and MP3 player, and a gaming function. It was meant to be mainly a gaming device, but it had all those other features. The main reason no one bought it I think, is that it came out right at the time the PSP and DS were released. So there was really no hope for the Gizmondo. Now a teaser site has been discovered. It is for the Gizmondo, and it says "Rising again in 2008". Though, it could be a fake, I highly doubt it. If they re-design the device, add more features, and get more game developers behind it, it could be a great product. White PS3 Is Coming
2008-01-23 08:07:00 If you have been waiting out till Sony releases the promised multi-colored PS3's, then you are in luck. A filing at the FCC revealed that Sony plans to make all new White 40GB Playstation 3 models. I guess this is kind of cool, but I myself like the sleek black look, rather than a sleek white finish. I am just guessing here, but I think it's safe to say you can expect to have a white PS3 in your hands by Christmas at the latest. Thank you for subscribing to my blog!

Disney is planning to implement a tour guide for Disneyland to give to customers via WiFi on their Nintendo DS's. I think this is a very cool idea. Many many kids own DS's, and many many kids go to Disneyland, so this is a match made in heaven. The guide will be an interactive map of the whole park. It will allow you to see wait times to every ride, and even see a menu of the many restaraunts in the park.
