RSS Feed Reader, what to choose
2007-06-27 14:40:00 To make a head start… What is RSS? “A family of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated content such as blog entries, news headlines or podcasts. An RSS document, which is called a “feed,” “web feed,” or “channel,” contains either a summary of content from an associated web site or the full text. RSS makes it possible for people to keep up with their favorite web sites in an automated manner that’s easier than checking them manually.” Better? so 99.9% of blogs have a RSS feed so you can subscribe and follow the site news without entering his site, how do they do that? they use an online client that gathers all his feeds and shows it, or they use a software. You get it, i guess… So now we need to know what to choose, thats a personal choice but i wont deny some of them work better than the others, but theres not a Jack of all trades in RSS. How to keep your mailbox safe
2007-06-27 14:10:00 Many of us spend a lot of time in front of pc, surfing and viewing new websites that appear every day. In most of them its required to registar or write our e-mail address so we can use their services. And that, that is one of the ways god damn spammers reach our mailbox, lots of spam mails or weird newsletters that even we can’t sign out! If you feel identified by this, theres two possible solutions: Bugmenot: Website that hosts users and passwords of many webpages that needs a registered user to participate, i would look at it before even registering, you may find it useful. Also offers disposable e-mail address. Disposabel E-mail Address: They are websites that doesn’t require to register (most of them), you only have to write something and voila! you got a new temporal mail address ready to be used. I recommend 2prong And remember, next time keep your mail for important issues. bugmenot, e mail, mailbox, safe, spamShare This More About: Safe

2007-06-27 06:12:00 At a first sight you may think this is an easy job, well it isn’t. I think Mozilla Thunderbird is a great application, but it has some bad points, and one of them is migration, thats not easy with Thunderbird. So today i decided to migrate my Thunderbird to Outlook , work reasons mostly, and i have to make some research before i could get a solution, i will share my knowledge about this, so if you are in the same position i was you get it easy. Download IMAPSize, so you can convert your .mbox files to .eml (Outlook Express messages) Once you have the program, you have to find where are your Thunderbird files so you can convert them with IMAPSize, you can find them in X:Documents and settingsyour_userApplication dataThunderbirdProfilesxxxMail Run IMAPSize and go to tools > Convert mbox2eml If you have noticed, in Thunderbird’s mail folder theres a chance your mail wont be in .mbox extension, and with another one. Well theres a heavy solution for all your problems, and wean i mean heavy its heavy. What im talking about is Slurpr. What? you dont know what is is? well i didnt until i heard of it some weeks ago :P Slurpr is a device that can recibe wireless networks, ok right? the interesting thing is that once it get all wireless networks available in your zone, it can connect to six networks at the same time. It makes use of a ethernet connection to get access by wi-fi. It seems that they are working on the future versions of slurp to crack network’s WEP encryptions automatically, so that would be godlike :P but there’s something bad about it: its $1340 cracking, ethernet, wep, wirelessShare This More About: Wireless , Give , Connect , Connections
