I run several websites. Many of which receive considerable amounts of hits from all around the world. When I started, I was looking for a complete package, for an easy way to manage all my sites and all my different interests. I found that in two different companies that offer similar services but in a different way. 2 FRIENDS I FOUND ALONG THE WAY The first one I got involved with was Typepad.com and their very easy to manage Blog services. I signed up for the Pro plan and created my first few blogs catering to three or four different niches. Not long after, I decided to finalize my choice for a hosting company on GoDaddy.com. I bought a few domain names and some hosting and was up and running in no time. GoDaddy offered very competitive prices and impressive online features such as their "Fax Thru Email", "PodCast Hosting", "Website Tonight" (which m...

The New iMovie from iLife 08 | Is it reinventing editing?
2007-08-10 21:40:00
Apple has unveiled the new iMac today, we've all heard and we're all very excited and eager to have it sit on our desks but there is something else that is creating a impressive revolution with every release: iLife 08. Steve Jobs presented a nice demo of iLife 08 with all kinds of brand new features but the one that stuck out the most was with iMovie 08. At first, being a power user and editing all my productions with Final Cut Pro HD, I thought "here we go again, another convoluted and watered down application for amateurs". After reading up on it and checking out the new features, I could not have been farthest from the truth. This is not a new version of iMovie but a new app all together (with its brand new logo as well). Like other new apps and the new Apple trend for the past few years, iMovie 08 looks more like Aperture, iTunes or iPhoto, with its library and easy to follow menu and buttons. You can now organize your whole video library by events instead of just having...

2007-08-10 21:40:00
Years ago, a company called Blizzard came out with an incredible game called StarCraft and it captured audiences all over the world. The game was gorgeous, fun to play and with multiplayer functionality that wowed all gamers alike. Websites started appearing giving out tips and tricks, etc - none were more filled with information and extras than CreepColony. I will be going back to that site once I get back on the wagon and start playing StarCraft II this time.

Inside GMAIL, what really happens when you send an email
2007-08-10 21:40:00
The folks at Google have started a brilliant concept for social submitted videos with this subject: Help us imagine how an email message travels around the world. Take a look at the collaborative video we started, and then film what happens next. We'll rotate a selection of the clips we receive on this page, and add the best ones to the video. The final video will be featured on the Gmail homepage and seen by users worldwide. All it takes is a video camera, the Gmail M-velope, and some creativity. Submit your clip by August 13th, 2007 to be considered for the final collaborative video. Watch the video right here and submit your own 10 second clip to youtube and watch it fly.

The New iMac, the Thin, the Good and the Perfect
2007-08-10 21:40:00
The New iMac, the thinnest desktop computer Apple has ever launched.... For example, because it?s made from a single sheet of aluminum, you won?t see any seams or screws except for a single compartment on the bottom that provides easy access to the memory slots. Not only did Apple change the look of the box but they also revamped the keyboard as it was expected (see rumors) and it is now thin and has the Macbook look.... Its ultrathin anodized aluminum enclosure features low-profile keys that provide a crisp, responsive feel. The keyboard includes special function keys for one-touch control of Mac features, and two USB 2.0 ports for high-speed connectivity to your iPod, Mighty Mouse, digital camera, and other devices. For the first time, the display is covered by a glass encasing that protects the glossy finish that customers had demanded after the great feedback with the macbooks.... With its anodized aluminum frame and glass cover, it?s striking to behold. The glossy widesc...

A picture is truly worth a thousand words
2007-08-10 21:08:00
It's always been so simple. Just point and shoot. Keep those memories living forever. I've always been a huge fan of photography, even as a video professional, for so many reasons. A great pictures says more than any type of video footage. With the right angle, the right eye, those pictures you take can become timeless. The only problem is the amount of different kinds and models all over the place. If you are comfortable setting manually your camera, I would recommend a SLR (single lens reflex) camera for better accuracy, more control and more fun. My favorite affordable camera (we're not shopping for Hasselblads here) remains the Canon EOS 5D Digital SLR Camera - 12.8 MegaPixel.

iPhone Copy and Paste Solution
2007-08-10 20:43:00
Every now and again, I come across a video that warrants everyones attention. Sometimes it's funny, most time informative and even sometimes just straight up too weird to believe. This next video is all of those in one. Posted on Vimeo by a guy that goes by the name of lonelysandwich, this video is an Apple spoof but also a very well done and planned out idea that Apple is obviously coming out with soon for the iPhone: the cut and paste option. The creator even went all out and pasted his own mouth on top of the original actors' while he explained the easy way to cut and paste using simply both fingers on the touch screen of the iPhone. Absolutely brilliant! iPhone Copy and Paste from lonelysandwich and Vimeo.
