Even though itīs the 138th sequel of Halloween . To put it briefly, it canīt, by no means, keep up with the touchstone of 1978. The movie itself was kind of dull. Everything was way too predictable. However, it was interesting to see how Michael grew up. But to be honest, I thought it was a good idea to tell the viewers in a quick and not too comprehensive way how he grew up in the first part in 1978. That made it kind of misterious. And for a story that was supposed to take place in the mid-70s this movie was a bit too new-school in my opinion. But after "20 years later" and "Resurrection" what can you expect...
