Door Lock for the Security and Fashion Conscious
2008-04-08 01:16:00
This rather chic looking touch sensitive door lock provides security for the style conscious. Its so fancy people may be forgiven for thinking it as anything but a lock on first impression. It resembles the design of a moblile phone or an MP3 music player. But style is not the only asset as it also integrates a strong secure paswsword based lock. Copyright © 2008 Spy Review. Detecting a Silent Killer
2008-04-07 11:52:00
Every year many people suffer illness from exposure to carbon monoxide (CO) and some even die from the resultant poisoning. At particular risk are young children who, naturally, have less ability to fight the effects of high levels of CO in their system, so prolonged exposure can be fatal. Copyright © 2008 Spy Review. Bullet-Proof Hoodies to Protect Gang Members?
2008-04-05 21:42:00
A company is in the process of manufacturing and selling bullet-proof hoodies that can withstand 9mm Magnum handgun bullets, in response to high rate of gun crime in some areas. Although the manufacturer claims it is designed for innocent people that live in areas where gun crime is rife, some are suggesting the target group may be teenage gang members. The news about the hoodies has caused quite a bit of consternation among these groups because it is possibly seen as encouraging gang-culture among teenagers as it could give them an aura of invincibility. How to Build Your Own Home-Made Stun Gun
2008-04-03 01:02:00
This video provides a clear guide in building your own stun gun. Its very simple too. Unlike commercial stun guns, the shock does not carry nearly as much venom. And unlike some of the video guides this site has blogged about, this particular guide - making a home-made stun gun - is slightly different in that it is, in effect, a weapon, therefore, anyone making this should do so responsibly. Do not use it on yourself or others as it will give off quite an uncomfortable sting! Copyright © 2008 Spy Review. This Feed is for personal non-commercial use only. A Device That Disables Car Upon Missed Payment
2008-04-01 12:03:00
The subprime losses have taken a toll on the banks and other finance houses in the US with billions of dollars in losses being reported. This is an interesting story from the US to counter the problems caused as a result of people defaulting on payments on their cars. The unusual step taken by car dealerships that offer financing to customers on used cars is to install a device on the car to ensure payments are made on time. Copyright © 2008 Spy Review. Shooting Net to Apprehend Suspect
2008-03-31 11:54:00
There have been quite a few different types of gadgets that have come to the market designed to be an alternative means to the traditional ways of apprehending a suspect, this net shooter seems a good idea on paper, but it has certain limitations that would deem it unreliable for such use. The net shooter works bit like a gun so anyone should be able to fire with a good level of accuracy after some practice. It uses the air to generate power for shooting. The net shooter itself is quite well designed piece of equipment that is slim and pretty light so can be carried around quite easily. It can fire a distance up to 15 metres and the net itself is up to 3 feet in diameter thus casting a wide shadow over the assailant. Copyright © 2008 Spy Review. Garmin Astro GPS Dog Tracking System
2008-03-27 12:31:00
Although we are more accustomed to seeing GPS technology in finding street section coordinates used in tracking systems for vehicles, this device is designed to track the location of a dog(s). Garmin Astro GPS Dog Tracking System unit looks like a rather large mobile phone with a slightly chunky design; however, despite this, it is still lightweight and therefore comfortable to carry around. It comes with a big, bright coloured screen display. Copyright © 2008 Spy Review. This Feed is for personal non-commercial use only. Knife Proof T-Shirt
2008-03-26 20:46:00
I doubt people worry about being attacked with a knife when they are out and about, but for anyone that maybe tad insecure, then wearing this t-shirt might reassure them to some degree. It has just been launched in Japan by a company called Nihon Uni. The idea behind the invention was in response to the alarming rise in knife attacks in Japan. The fabric used is ultrahigh molecular polyethelene fibre making it comfortable and light enough to wear and at the same time able to resist a knife. Its designed to be wearable for everyday use and can be worn under regular clothing. Copyright © 2008 Spy Review. This Feed is for personal non-commercial use only. Keysure - Key Control System
2008-03-24 17:37:00
There are situations when you need to store away an important key or some other form of entry that can only be accessed in an emergency. It may be a key to a door, safe or even a password to a system. While it may not be prudent to stop access to them altogether, nonetheless, the access should be left to a designated person(s) who can use it in case of an emergency. It also stops a key being misused or running the risk of it being copied. Copyright © 2008 Spy Review. This Feed is for personal non-commercial use only. Self-Defence - Dog Repellent
2008-03-24 11:47:00
While a dog is affectionately called a man?s best friend, unfortunately, its not always the case; some are quite aggressive and can be quite dangerous. The volatility of a dog toward strangers will depend on a number of factors such as breed (some types are more aggressive than others), how well they are trained, etc. Sadly, we hear more and more stories of aggressive dogs mauling small defenceless children, in particular. In some cases the victim is a member of the household of the dog owner itself. Copyright © 2008 Spy Review. This Feed is for personal non-commercial use only. Remote Computer Surveillance
2008-03-21 13:25:00
This software operates a bit like a keystroke logger recording keystrokes of the user, but unlike a key logger, which is a physical product that discreetly attaches to the back of the computer via USB and only able to record the strokes, this on the other hand, is a software that does not need to be installed on the computer that you wish to monitor and thereby making it more discreet and will also send screenshots of what the person may be viewing. You can do it remotely from anywhere. The idea behind the software called SniperSpy, from Retina X Studios, is that it can monitor the activity taking place without the person using it being wise to this fact. Handheld Wireless Spy Camera Receiver and Digital Video Recorder
2008-03-19 01:29:00
This handheld wireless receiver and digital video recorder is a bit of spy kit that has been on my wish list for a long time. Thanks again to Pakatak, I finally get to play with this lovely bit of kit! In a nutshell, the receiver allows you to receive any 2.4GHz wireless camera and then record the video footage into an MPEG4 format. There are many overt and covert video cameras that are compatible with this receiver, as it uses the standard video frequencies. This kit combines a receiver, 2.5 inch (5 cm) monitor and a video recorder in a single portable gadget. This kit particularly lends itself to operations in the field. No bulky monitors, PCs or laptops to worry about when using this portable receiver. All you need is a battery, a camera and the receiver. Copyright © 2008 Spy Review. A Bat Plane to Help Military with Reconnaissance
2008-03-19 01:27:00
A model plane based on a bat called COM-BAT is being developed by University of Michigan, and funded by the US Military , could help troops in the battlefield with essential information relayed to them by radio. The plane will be fitted with various miniature cameras, sensors and detectors to provide vital images, sounds as well as smells. The onboard cameras will probably be used to take images of enemy instillations and other vital hotspots. The plane itself will be only 6 inches long. Copyright © 2008 Spy Review. Are You Forgetful? Fear Not!
2008-03-17 01:05:00
If you are prone to forgetting where you left things, then a new device developed in Japan might be quite handy as it promises to locate things without the need to search for them. In essence, its an object recognition device that can identify objects within seconds when looked into through the glasses. The camera that?s attached to the goggles constantly records what is being seen. When a wearer looks at an object the device will store into its ?memory bank? by filming it. More Spy Toys for the Kids
2008-03-17 01:04:00
There are now many spy toys available for the kids that imitate real spy gadgets. Although, as expeteced, they have obvious limitations compared to real versions, nevertheless, there is plenty of fun children can have with these toys as some of them are really good imitations. Spy Gear has an assortment of spy toys for the kids. Some are pretty good while others may not evoke much interest. Below are a few I thought were pretty cool that kids might enjoy. A Retriever System to Locate Model Planes
2008-03-16 01:26:00

A Video Recording Spy Watch
2008-03-14 01:39:00
In some ways watches are the most coveted of all spy gadgets because of the neat tricks that some of us have seen them perform, albeit in fictional tales such as Bond movies. Also, since watches are worn by so many people, they can lend themselves to being more discreet and not arouse any suspicion compared to some other body-worn devices. Copyright © 2008 Spy Review. Quad 2.4GHz Wireless Camera Receiver
2008-03-13 11:44:00
Wired CCTV camera systems have been around for years. There are many sophisticated boxes that you can buy that allow you to see many video cameras at once. Some computer-based camera systems can give you 16 windows from 16 different surveillance cameras at once! The Quad 2.4GHz Wireless Camera Receiver gives you the capability to see 4 spy cameras at the same time, but of the wireless variety. What?s the significance of this? It is very unusual to find a wireless camera receiver that allows you to view all four camera channels simultaneously. Most other wireless receiver solutions only allow you to view a single camera channel at a time, and therefore the best they achieve is to just cycle through each camera channel. Radio Controlled Spy Car with Video and Audio
2008-03-12 20:22:00
Many radio controlled cars with spy functionalities such as listening devices and cameras have tended to be slightly disappointing either because of their limited capabilities or the vehicle itself is too primitive looking, probably because they mostly tended to be designed for children. Not all adults would be too keen being seen at the controls of one of those. However, this, on the other hand, is a car that looks like it was designed for the family and would not look out of place in the hands of an adult. Copyright © 2008 Spy Review. A Mini Stun Gun
2008-03-08 22:59:00
At the moment there are still doubts lingering as to how safe stun guns really are as a way to incapacitate an individual safely either as a way to restrain (in policing) or even as self-defence, for which more and more stun guns are now sold. This mini stun may be small in size but the power of the shock ranging from 350,000 to 950,000 volts - depending on the model - is capable of felling anyone off their feet. Counterfeit Money Detector Pen
2008-03-06 16:47:00
We know that a lot of businesses now use machines to verify that any notes they receive are not fakes, but many still do not employ one either because cost of obtaining one is a prohibitive factor or simply an oversight on their part because they expect to receive genuine notes and almost take it for granted, and if they do check, they may do so by checking for the watermark, which can sometimes result in error. There are tens of millions of pounds worth of fake money in circulation, so one thing we can be sure of is that fake notes do go around. Copyright © 2008 Spy Review. Keep Track of Activity on Your Phone

People may want to keep record of incoming and outgoing calls for one reason or another. It might be for business or even as a security measure. This device known as Teleport 2 can generate a log of all your calls and record it on your PC. Furthermore, it also records the actual calls in audio form. A Device to See Behind Doors
2008-03-04 02:16:00
This can be useful in all sorts situations involving security. Sometimes its prudent to observe what is happening in a room before entering it, so a product like this, in theory at least, can be extremely useful in security operations such as policing or other crime-busting scenarios. The idea is that its not always safe to enter a room or the other side of the door not knowing what may be there. Copyright © 2008 Spy Review. This Feed is for personal non-commercial use only. A Gun Camouflaged as a Mobile Phone
2008-03-03 01:01:00
This is mobile (cell phone) that appears to be like any ordinary phone from the outside but is in fact also a .22 calibre gun. Its a properly working phone that can be used to make and receive calls and not one of those gimmicky phones merely designed to hide its main purpose - the gun. I would assume that in this case the main purpose is probably the phone, or both in equal measure. Copyright © 2008 Spy Review. This Feed is for personal non-commercial use only.
